[suggestion] Academy ship

Do like what POTBS did, you had fallback ships up to a certain level (like the Cerberus or Snow can't remember). You sink you get sent back to a port you own (not closes friendly it has to be a port you have an out post in). Than you can get in one of your ships. You can not pull a fallback ship until all your war ships have been sunk than you can use that ship. It had the base stats of that ship (so lets say a crappy Oak/Oak ship). So it was something you didn't want to stay in but could use until you could buy or build a new ship. This will stop the RA's using basic cutters all the time. They should not be in basic cutters. Now I don't mind the basic cutter being used for the first 3 ranks and that is it. Than maybe have a fall back ship that some one can get if they are higher level. Something in the 7th rate level or even the Cerberus but in Oak/Oak build only no random trims. -

When was the last time any one said anything, I haven't heard that in the last year and half. That was all the guys that wanted this to be a complete sailing sim and reason many players got ran off (guys that wanted to remove GPS, and many other things in game). Majority of those folks have been long gone too. This is a game not a sailing sim. This has been brought up many times and I think it would make more since for a Refit than any other ships right now. Something with maybe a bit more guns or bigger guns and more crew but less cargo space. Maybe half the crago to make up for the bigger/more guns and crew. Don't even have to call it a refit just call it the Indiaman Merchant/Explorer Ship. I actually posted to get the P Frigates name changed as it honestly now should be called the Privateer Frigate not pirate. -
RNG just really hates me. I have way over a couple hundred ships built since the new crafting ship mechanics and I have yet to get one single gold ship. I gotten 6 purple ships and that is it. Don't know what you guys do to get so many freaking gold ships but ya'll need to spread the knowledge lol. I think it's just pay back from when they had that bad patch and I made over two dozen gold ships before they hot patched it....lol Well hope some one buys it, there is enough gold rich folks out there that has plenty of money, but not this guy (I don't do trade runs.)

Lets be honest we are never going to see 2K again in game. We be more lucky to shoot for the 2K mark. We had less Nations back than (well 3 less) and it did just fine. A lot of our population problems is cause we have to many nations and players spread out. Lower the number of nations and you get some what bigger nations with more players in them. OP Swedes an interesting pick, I honestly got to say I have yet to play that nation, but every nation at one time except it or the Dutch. Maybe I'll have to send a freelancer alt over that way before release for a while (mains staying in US until release).

Honestly this game has to many nations right now and needs less and than keep it more about clans of those key nations. I would keep your US, GB, FRANCE, PAIN as the core starting nations that are kinda easy mode (large safe zones for starting that should be PvE only zones). Than take Swede and Danes and merge them in to Dutch (this would be a wipe thing so we don't get a mega nation). Drop all three of the impossible nations or what ever you want to call them. They should never been in the game in the first place. Instead take those mechanics and make what they promised the pirates a long time ago and make a OUTLAW NATION. No safe zone and no capital, if they want ports they have to take them and hold them. To be all honestly I would make this the pirates, but if they have to be a nation give them Kidds and make them only able to become in game not chargen start. If you want to become a pirate you have to go pirate in game. If you don't want to be pirate any more use your forge papers or delete you char. Pirates/outlaw should be the hard core mod of the game. Screw the Disney folks as if they want to play those type of chars they can do it in hard core mode, this isn't some silly Sea of Thieves or other cartoonist game after all. With that make Mort a neutral port for all nations to use in the center of the map, kinda like how Pitts use to be a neutral port for every one to use (well all nationals.) As for now I would do like Hetwill said use your forge papers or just delete your char (if you did the Final Exam you come back at that level I believe any way) and test them all out each month until you find one you like.

Please doubt touch accuracy and I know folks say ping don’t matter yes it does for us on the other side of the pound when we go for mast and leaks I can tell and adjust for the delay. Even worse for the poor SAE/Aus players. -

That cause with her in game stats she should be a 5th rate along with the Herc, but allowed shallows. Stop thinking of her as a 6rh rate in game. Quickest fix is to switch her to a 5th rate end of story than figure out shallow water ship balance on those stats. Also make both ships around 150 BR so they take up the BR of two traditional shallow ships -
I so read that as MEMES instead of Menus.....lol I was like dang it ADMIN is trolling me. #SOON Maybe a little paint while we wait like good little players? I don't mind ya'll taking your time to get things in order, just be nice to get a little bit of the info on how things are going

Oh be honest you know you don't trade on PvP server, there is to much a chance you might get caught and sunk. Than you have to rage and write a ten mile long post about it and demand changes. Though all honesty I have defended against attacks from solo hunters by having guns on my trade ships. I normally still loose one if they go for a rage board on one of the AI, but that gives the chance for to the others to escape. Though I also killed three indman on one guy that had zero guns and as so loaded down it was easy to get from one to the next even do a qucik rage board for each one. Guns do help folks and it's only a small part of your cargo....just like having a few repairs on your main ship helps. -

To be honest the whole DLC's and these ships being unbalance I'm going to take a bet was used to distract us from the fact they haven't finished certain patches and keep added more and more to them pushing them back more and more. There use to be and they use to drop the patches on it and let us give feed back the few that would hang out on it when they had new patches. I would be more than willing to testbed the game with other select players and give feed back instead of having a lot of this hot mess we get. Than again we did the same thing with the Wasa and told them all the problems it would have and what needed to be changed about it. The changes that ended up being done many many many months later that they could of just did from testbed.

Even my trader brigs have guns, it's the only time i don't escort my trade ships cause if I loose something on one of them I can quickly replace, but any time I'm in anything else they all have guns. It's only like what 20-40 cargo space they take up, that could save you your ships. and I bet he lost all 4, that is a lot of fire power if it was a solo hunter, I mean you might loose one, but not all four. -

Honestly the three impossible nations should become pirates with PIrates using the same game rules and not having a captial. Turn Mort into a neutral zone every one can use (like the old Pitt's). Merg Swedes and Danes into Dutch and play with a smaller nation base on the map and I bet you see way more battles and less care bear alliances. -

Actually all a Pirate is, is a Privateer without a job. Even privateers where seen as pirates to other nations. Back on POTBS if you captured a Nationals ship as a Pirate until you change the flag on that ship it keep it's nation flag. Since we don't have the same OW mechanic it would be cool if it did the same. Showed you in the OW as say British if that is the last owner of the ship was british. I say it would be a one time battle thing that turns pirate as soon as your next battle starts. Sadly Admin once said they won't be planing any Pirate mechanics until after release of the game. Maybe with the added funds from the DLC they will be able to do it sooner. -
It's been proven time over time that folks can get up early to meet the 11-14 timer and do battle. Now KFC"s 03-06 timers are just to late for any one but maybe SEA/AUS players. Well it's been said on the forums so it must be true? I did hear a rumor last night ya'll where going to a new nation, but it was quickly shot down when I pointed out folks get the nations tag of the battle they join and the player still had his rank tittle of a pirate. Some folks you think played this game or not....as for why XXXXX you listed it right there, cause they prob own the most ports out of all the pirates. Well folks happy hunting.

Shroud is a gank fest, but honestly they should make that a Neutral town like the old PITTS was and give it's own green zone around it since it's the starting point for a few of the nations. As for 7th rate PvP event maybe we could bring in a rookie zone that only allows PvP in 7th rate shisp and that zone is 24/7. Remember the old Shallow PvP Zone that was sough of the Gearge Town, east of Deadmans area? That would make a great area for a 24/7 rookie PvP zone. They can still do the damage for marks thing, but I think a cosmetic reward would be better or maybe give them a random note for a H.Rattler, Prince, or Niagara after so many kills or damage done. This will help new players get into a bigger new ship. -
Wow a honest answer to why you haven't been playing as much instead of every thing I seen you post over the past as to why your not playing. Hay real life is more important than a game. I'm working a new job 3rd shift (back into the oilfield sector where I was laid off from 3 years ago) and it keeps me from the game during mos of the prime time on weekends, but I still pop on and do econ and such like that. Oh and sorry I don't do duels cause I don't need to stroke my ego and bully folks that aren't as good as me. Unless you want to do it proper, you challenged me so I get to pick? Mortar Brigs, pick a port with a fort and see who can get the fastest time destroying it? Since we both are busy we can get video submitence of our time. I mean you challenged me so I get to pick the conditions cause that is how duels worked in real life. No one is asking for a deadline, we are asking for update on progress is all. Ever game I have Alpha in the past gave the testers progresses reports updates at least monthly, but they also gave us goals of what to test between each patches too. I'm fine if the patch takes another month or two or year, but let us know there is going to be a delay or it's coming along but we are adding these new features so more will come. Now the problem is they have some major balance issues they keep saying will be fixed next patch, until they are fixed they are turning players off from the game. Those balance issues should be hot fixed while the rest of the patch is taking it's time to get ready.

That the problem most casuals don't know things like that to get away or have a chance so they are easy pickings to the vets. I tell folks all the time when tagged in a trade ships go with the wind when it's a Prince or something of that sail profile. Than my second question is where is you escort ships? As they are in like 4 trade ships with no escorts trying to max there penny off the trade goods they have. Please explain how the Herc is more than the Requin, I actuall think it''s very balanced in the 5th rate spot it's in right now. Yes it's a strong ship to fight in the shallows and needs a higher BR, but we have not had a problem killing them with H. Rattlers and Niagara's before the DLC. @admin I honestly think 36-48 hours would be better, they shouldn't have the same cool down as the yatch a 6th rate. So that way what you can do for every rate above 7th you can add 12 hours to the cool down. Also using the crafting time how much would a cool down a 1st rate if you ever did a DLC? Or more realistic a 4th or 3rd rate? It honestly needs to be a 5th rate to allow for it to use 5-4th rate perks and mods, this will kill a lot of the stat stacking like the crew that folks do. It's the fastest way to balance the ship just like they did with the Herc. And see your comparing it to a 5th rate, it's not a 5th rate (though it should be one for game balance). Like Hethwill posted below test it against a ship of it's class. Right now the Herc and Rquin have 500 more HP's than any of the 6th rates. All there stats match up with 5th rates in game all ready not the 6th rates. Requin should be a 5th rate that can get into shallow waters OW but not port battles. Specially when folks keep stacking the crew the ship needs something other than the Moral hit....when you stack that much crew it should be way easier to grape a ship like that. -

Bring back a reason to be a crafter or level 50 in crafting. Just make it you have to have a workshop to craft them though. -
He prob doesn't even play the game any more, every time something happens he doesn't like he stop playing like most of the grumpy old vets. I bought it to test them and such not to be OP. I have made my share of reports of what needs to be changed and the Devs know, they are just being lazy and not doing a hot fix to fix the problem instead they keep saying wait the patch will be out #soon. So really @Ink @admin why do ya'll keep avoiding giving us some update as to when #soon will be cause well July is over and it's about to be a new month. ARe we going to get the balance and bug fix by the end of August? Should folks stop playing cause the game is broken? Should we sale all our econ stuff that needs to go cause a patch will be hitting #soon? I mean lack of info is exactly why ya'll keep getting bad reviews. We aren't asking you to lock down a time when the patch will drop, ware are just asking for an update of what is going on. Why the delay? A simple we are still having problems with coding or want to add in something extra so it will be another week or so will be better than avoiding the topic. Specially when we have game bugs that need to be fixed and a very bad game breaking balance issue you aren't addressing. PS #makepaintsgreatagain

Believe me I been playing other games, but there is no reason they Devs even more after they got us to buy a bunch of DLC's can't give us a weekly update of what is going on with the game. Every company I ever tested for gave you updates at least monthly if not weekly and if there was a delay they would give you a reason why. Simple stuff like still working on code, chasing bugs, we don't have a clue what we are doing this week would be better than the silence they give us, cause for all we know the patch will drop...... #SOON #NEWPATCH2019ORBUST #WHYNOHOTFIX? #WHYNOBALANCE?
