Attacking Friendly Traders And Getting Back To Port

He was probably misinformed. If you attack a trader with a counterband you can freely capture it even if it is of your nation. Attacking a national trader who is not carrying counterband (or any player of your nation) will make you a pirate if you are pulled into instance. If you are not pulled into instance attack does not start and you keep your status. I think this is a case you are talking about. He initiated the attack (20sec timer) but entered the port BEFORE the battle started. Because attack did not start (he did not enter the instance) he keeps his nation. -

if enemies are present in battle you cannot cap a ship as they steal it. to be able to cap a ship you either have to transfer to it by pressing X (sailing up close) and run away in it. or win the battle

Sorry for the delays guys adding ships took some time and we did a couple of more additions new chat servers deployed new instance server added server limit increased by 100 (we want to be slower to avoid crashes during weekend) This is how server and QA team office looked today.. -

We set the expectations clear when we first announced the game. 1) We are against Pay 2 Win in any form. 2) We believe that Guild Wars 2 buy to play model is best to keep multiplayer world running. After discussions with fans it was decided that premium ships (beautiful age of sail vessels) and customization (skins, colors, flags, nose figureheads, stern decorations) are best and only options for the game. Community have decided on the following rules for premium ships Well crafted ship of the similar class must be better in terms of upgrade slots and officer quarters. 3rd, second, and first ships of the line must be only player crafted (no premium ships). Consider them DLCs or developer gifts for generous donations. Some people give yacht as an example of premium ship - yacht was given to everyone who bought the game before launch on steam. We are a small team and know that for us the only way to expand the line up of ships significantly and faster is to do it with help from the community . If we needed them only for the money we would be selling them already. Two other methods to get the same results from the premium ships are these Donation button Kickstarter packages (which will make ships available for everyone). For example US Superfrigate ship pack Kickstarter (to replicate all important us vessels above 36 gun + remake the constitution hull).

No XP wipe Captain. Your rank is there forever since game head start on 19th. More ranks will be added at higher tiers some day. Current rank is Rear Admiral we plan to add more up to Admiral of the Fleet and maybe governors.

xp is shared across all servers you can even come to pve and your rank will be the same. If you mean monetary progression and ships we dont know yet if it is a good idea long term economy wise. -

Its simple actually. You will be surprised, but in 2 weeks you will navigate by feel without looking at the compass. I have to attend to something right now.. but if no-one will write a method i will respond tomorrow. -

we limit the online during testing to avoid problems ARK had. Sorry guys.. just wait or login to pve or pvp 2. Remember you DONT NEED TO GRIND RANK.. only cash.. once you get cash for carronades you can capture heavier ships. 1 evening and you are set on all servers. Also good practice btw We prefer to not do it on friday evening.. What if it crashes. But we surely will do it in the next couple of weeks -

no that will take longer to fix -
maybe They give an indication that players are inside and could exit any time - thus reducing immersion breaking when ships appear from out of nowhere. In high online environment they might become annoying and maybe need to be switched off after battle close.
