Every multi-player online game has rules. When you buy the game and play the game, you agree to abide by those rules. You agree that should you not abide by those rules, you will no longer be able to play the game and you will not receive a refund - this is not hard to understand. Allowing toxic activities because you're scared of a griefer getting mad just means you lose dozens or hundreds of existing players, and hundreds or thousands of sales when people hear that the game is full of griefing jerks. Nobody wants to play in the sandbox with people who refuse to follow the rules and are treating everyone else like crap. This is a very easy action to prove - take a few screenshots with the boarding action window up, and a friendly ship in the background wedging its way in between you. Done, grief, rules violation. There will certainly be less obvious cases, and those can be dealt with by a simple warning to the player. Players that are making a habit of receiving warnings will be easy to spot. All have been warned - this game and community are run like the 18th Century British Navy. You are expected to comport yourself with a certain level of decency and honor, and an eye towards following the rules. Those who fail to do so and persist in their actions will find themselves on the beach with no command (banned). -
capt flint Pirate green on green damage

Unfortunately, there is currently no mechanism to undelete a character once it's been deleted. Code changes will need to take place to allow this to happen, and since that code doesn't exist yet, data is not saved in a delete.

This is not the place to debate these topics. Jodgi has received the information he needs in this thread - further communications can be taken offline. Locking the topic as "not a Game Labs issue".

Toxic Behaviour / Abuse
Henry d'Esterre Darby replied to Baltasar Hidalgo's topic in Tribunal - Трибунал
Tribunal is not used for chat violations - for that, you right click the user's name, and click "report". I know it doesn't look like it does anything, but it is working. Mr. Gold - please read the forum/game rules: http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/2346-forum-and-sea-trials-rules/ Each of those rules also applies to the game. Keep it up and you may very well find you no longer can use the chat system. Closing this thread. -

Firing on a green, friendly ship in a battle instance unless he has specifically asked you to do so, is a punishable offense. DO NOT SHOOT GREENS. -
Don't ram things, full speed ramming never willingly happened, it usually cost you all of your masts and a hole you couldn't plug.
-
Ramming a friendly ship without permission to stop them from boarding an enemy ship (or to interrupt their boarding) is green on green damage and is actionable. Take enough screen shots to prove that it happened and post a tribunal thread. The rest of it is annoying to be sure. Discussions internally are ongoing to find a solution.

Thank you for the report. I'll bring this to Admin's attention and he may decide what to do. There are way too many hidden posts in this thread. Captains in this thread are advised to re-read the forum rules and are reminded that respect will be shown to all other Captains at all times. You can disagree without making personal attacks and breaking the forum rules.

I haven't heard of this issue to date. Is there a problem with your firewall/network?

Looking for clarification on redeemables.
Henry d'Esterre Darby replied to DressedWings's topic in Support
Correct. The server was missing the records it needed to apply your redeemables to PvP2. -

From the Steam Forums, he has an AMD R7 200 series, he's good there. Something else is wrong. -

What is your: Operating System CPU Video Card -
I didn't see that. I'm not aware of any updates at this time. It either was a result of a mis-selected "reason down" option, or Admin wasn't able to give patch notes. I can ask in the morning when he's awake.
-
That's not correct. You will have redeemables on each server to which you logged in prior to the deadline. You can redeem the ships separately on each of those servers. If you only logged into one server, that's the only server on which you'll have the redeemables. It has something to do with a process that runs the first time you log into a server - if you've never logged in, I'm assuming there were records or values missing that allowed the redeem script to run. Moving assets, unfortunately, is not currently possible. There is a lot of behind the scenes work that would have to go into moving assets like that, and since there are no current automated tools to do so built in, to develop the tools, or to move assets for individual characters, would delay development to an unacceptable degree. I'm very sorry you're on the wrong server, but you'll need to earn more stuff on the server you'd like to play on. The pings have not changed since launch, I'm sorry that you chose a server that doesn't work as well for you. I will say, however, that you can play just fine with pings up to and including 300ms. I play at 180ms and don't notice any difference - this is not a twitch game that requires instant response. You will have redeemables on any server to which you logged in prior to January 24th. If you have already logged in on a particular server, redeemed your ships, and then deleted your character, those ships are gone for good.
-
Yes, unfortunately it's one redeem per account, so they were lost on that server when you deleted your character. Very sorry!
-
Early Access is effectively Beta Testing. It says so on the giant blue box on the very front of the Steam store page. Expect bugs, unfinished features, problems, etc. The mission access is currently being worked on and discussed behind the scenes. The trick is to make a correct change, not a quick change that may make things worse. If you start shooting green players in missions, you may end up back in your basic cutter with no XP. You have been warned.
-
This is, unfortunately, not currently possible. You'll have to start over if you delete your account. You'll also lose any redeemables you may have already used on the current account. The Developers have been discussing some sort of ability to change nation down the road, but we do not know when (or if) this will be possible.

SweetFX 2.0
Henry d'Esterre Darby replied to jok83's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
Is that a before and after? -
Two questions: 1. Just to make sure, you did not, at any time, redeem any of the ships? 2. When you deleted your account and recreated it, are you playing on the same server you were playing on the last time you saw redeemables?
-
The servers go down for maintenance, backups, etc. every day. There may not be a code change or patch every day.
