Unfortunately, this is not against the rules just now (that I'm aware of). In fact, the Age of Sail was fraught with con artists, scammers, etc. - there was very little regulation and very little way to catch people who preyed on those with money. Much like the real world, please use caution when making deals with people. Please also spread the word far and wide in Nation Chat about the fraudster. Case dismissed.

If this was on PvP1, then yes, he is now a pirate. I'm heartily sorry he chose you as his victim.

You don't get sanctioned because someone felt offended. You get sanctioned for not behaving like a respectful person towards your fellow players, where respectful is defined by the rules and judged by the Developers and Moderation staff. If people find it too hard to be respectful to others, they're in the wrong game and the wrong time period. Your argument has no foundation.

I noticed this the other day as well, I figured maybe I just wasn't looking back at the time (I was at the bleeding edge of his tag range...)

No one has been able to buy anything larger than a cutter since Early Access started. Nobody has been able to buy anything larger than a Snow since before Early Access started (and that was all wiped), and buying larger ships than that hasn't been a thing for many, many months. I don't have the first idea what you're talking about when you reference people having Constitutions as their own hired AI fleet. It doesn't exist.

Please discuss the provided suggestions and realistic, non-Nationalistic new ideas. This is not the correct thread to be demanding the US Players be kicked from the server. There are other threads for that. This is also not the place to discuss in game actions of specific factions - there is a Nations forum for that (Forum PvP is not allowed outside of the Nations forum). I agree. This has gotten quite out of hand enough. Locking because nobody has time to go through four pages of personal attacks and rules violations and clean it up. I'd suggest all involved take a good hard look at the forum rules before warnings need to be handed out.

If you had already redeemed those ships, they're gone - they were a one-time per account per server redeem.

Check your bosun, it may have become a victim of cappabar. "Accurate" calcuation of Latitude wasn't exactly accurate at the time. They could get a close approximation, assuming their clocks held fairly true (they did not), but the idea that they knew with GPS like precision where they were is definitely incorrect. The presence of the map itself is a huge concession on the part of the Developers.

You're both at fault. I suggest you avoid each other. Use the report function in game for situations like this. Case dismissed.
