  1. numbers and BR. that's how it will work as I interpret it. Not only BR and not only numbers but a curve of both axis.
  2. Loss of life ? We don't feel it in the game. They knew their fate if they would even think of doing it. And the ones that did... go read what the hell happened, hence why they didn't. Regarding gameplay...What's the problem of a daring sloop captain to take on a cruiser frigate ? Or a Lynx taking on yer Indiaman ? See where this is leading ? It makes open ship choice matter more than the meta-game of "must take this ship or else can't tag"
  3. It is not a restriction fox2run. It is an expansion of the RoE to include not only flat BR checks, which did indeed limit a lot of OW action, but also numbers involved. Example being, as we had long ago, squadrons of light brigs and sloops effectively engaging a small convoy escorted by frigates, considering all being human controlled ships. So numbers involved are taken into account along with BR so to overcome the "invulnerability bubbles".... a horrible thing... very meta... very power gamey... I think the interpretations are not taking into consideration numbers. The extreme example of the cutter and 1st rate shows you a one-on-one and that should be a lead that is indeed not more restrictions but a measure of liberty of action.
  4. While this is truly important for RvR, it is also a major step in the trade raiding where BR limits could be used for safe passage and force a arms race. Seems solid. The intention to bring a fleet must be real or the risk of losing it becomes all too real Same with a trade run.
  5. There is nothing stopping newcomers and veterans to essentially only play Small Battles. There's win and loss and there's XP and credits progression. The more numbers of players that are in queue for the Small Battles the more popular it becomes. A big battle often started with only 2 ships joining combat.
  6. Awesome news !
  7. Looks nice. Just noticed your adventures seem to go circumventing the map
  8. Ah good little snippet. By the Devs of the seven winds we be needin' brig paints to slab across those yellow walls of yours.
  9. https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/how-to-split-exclude-seperate-audio-sources-off-your-stream-or-recording.8/ Hope it helps. You have the spoiler for Virtual Cable there and how to setup the input output cycle. Tip: don't set any of the audio sources on default. You always have to designate something else of the recording software AND on Teamspeak.
  10. Pretty sure. Just wipe the dust and bottoms up.
  11. Bring them back...the Yarr News.
  12. Example of gallantry . Glad I found this. Sometimes good spirit really overcomes unfinished mechanics.
  13. Bring the Habana Times back ! need a good read during the morning coffee
  14. It is the time focus, not more time spent. Example being focusing like an hour per week day but really focusing half a dozen hours during the weekends, hence more often at weekends.
  15. Indeed, the India Companies, especially in England did force lobby the Navy Board into diverting resources Still didn't help against bankruptcy and all those attacks from the French corsairs along the east african coast ( which was exactly what gave way to the EIC lobbying with the navy )
  16. *eagerly waits for a new edition of the Gazette *
  17. This is a good example of cool content Would be nice to have more fellows doing this kind of articles.
  18. Thread has run its course. This is not "light pvp" and for sure not national news. It is nothing.
  19. Yes. Not open to a debate. Back to the thread subject number 3.
  20. I don't care. Carry on with the subject announced in the thread please. And that's meant to everyone posting. Building a fire on purpose just for the sake of watching a thread burn ? Nah.
  21. Let's drop the inter clan subject please. Carry on with the thread subject and purpose, whatever it may be.
  22. How patronizing sruPL... why .... Back on the topic, Sorry/Toxic moving to US NA Nation.
