  1. There isn't a way, you have to start over, but remember this every thing gets wiped when the game goes live so it's not like your loosing every thing. Also you can do the Tutorial Final Exam and get most of your rank back up to MC.
  2. I have 5 and all but one of them are in the same nation. When we moved from Russia to US though I'll be honest I had 3 of them in convoy's at time's hauling stuff from Bermuda to the the US coast. I have three Monitors so it wasn't to hard to do. Back on PvP2 days before the wipe I have been in many port battles with US/GB as BLACK with two chars in the battle fighting them. That is why they always thought we had 50 players. I never lied when I said you where only fighting 15-20 guys and later 10-15 as our numbers shrunk even though we always had 20-25 ships in PB's....a few of us where dual boxing. As for the OP though I would more want a auto speed than a follow. Since not every ship is built the same even if they are the same type of ships, but when you say all go battle sails and that means I'm going 10 knts, the guy next to me is going 6 and the guy behind him 8 we are all going different speeds. Would be nice to click on the leader and match speed with the leader more than a follow command.
  3. @admin showed the draft of other ships compared to the Herc and I though one of them or it might even just been the Cerberus that actually had a more shallow draft than the Herc. Which to me means they should be allowed in shallows. Why not it would give people a shallow ship with similar crew and guns to match the Hercs and LRQ. Than to be honest if you allowed the Reno, Surprise, Cerberus into the shallow you could prob balance it out to allow them in to Shallow Port battles to. Make the Shallows unrated and light frigates and make the deep water PB's Lights frigates to SOL's. The big balance thing would be the BR's of the ships so you could only bring a few Light frigates or a lot of traditional 6th rates. We could kinda test it out by having a PvP zone that is light frigates and below.
  4. That cause they are throw away ships....they don't care about loosing them so they can go out and get sunk. If there was a concern like a price you have to pay when loosing one than they wouldn't just throw them away. What is the number of ships sunk by them though? That doesn't prove they aren't OP, just proves they are in most of the battles and that they don't always survive. Hell I demasted a Herc with my Trader brig a few weeks ago. The guy was a complete noob, and should of owned me, and if I was in a ship with more crew I prob would of keep fighting him (that and i had full cargo, but he had tow snow fleet killing my other traders so I left.) No one has said they don't bring more PvP, that is something we aren't arguing about, but they are built OP verse any ship in there class when you look stat per stat. Show me one other 6th rate with the same crew and stats as the LRQ? Show me a 5th rate that can carry the same cannons and go into the shallows? In a straight up fight of folks with the same skill level they will beat most other ships of the same class. Remember not counting skills (so Hetwill don't bring up the you beat them with prince and crap...cause you have skill over noobs in DLC ships). We don't see folks in yachts all the time fighting do we and they are throw away ships. Since we have no other DLC's to compare them I would like @admin to do a test. Make Diana a DLC ship for all for a month. Let us redeem it every 24-48 hours and I beat you will see the same result. Hell do it with the old Connie or even the clasic new one and just test it for a month. Hell pick any ship and make it a DLC folks can redeem once a day and lets see how the numbers look. None of that changes the fact that both the Hercules and the LRQ are Elite ships and shouldn't been DLC's in the first place. Maybe BP's rewarded after doing some great Mission string or something. The best thing is to make them craftable in game for folks that don't want to pay for the DLC so that they aren' t P2W ships and all have use of them. Some just get them cheaper by paying real money instead of having to craft them.
  5. Isn't that the point to get every one fighting? Lets be honest not every one is fighting and there should always be some hot spots that are all ways being fought over. The exploit can be problem, but that is why you make them own the whole region so it's not just a port you hand back and forth and there should be other rules so that it's not another French showing with no cannons event either. Even though that was a very very very very long time ago and most of those players aren't around any more. LOL With what current RvR goals? Any thing is better than what we have now which is a pretty boring and stale map. To be honest I think the map should be reset every 3-4 months. I would prefer the map to be set to historical owners of ports and make folks actually have to caputre them. So what if you have to fight AI (for none clan owned ports), but what devs could do for those AI owned ports is allow players to join the PB to fill it. Right now the map is boreing and ports hardly exchange hands other than here or there.
  6. They messed up on DLC model by making them epic/elite ships. They should of followed -WoT and other games where it might have more HP than same tier. It almost always had lower tier guns. We should have craftable versions in game. The yacht is basicly a redlined cutter. Since there is no in game version of LRQ and Herc we should be able to craft them. Give the Herc BP when you finish the Tutorial final exam along with the other awards. Make a mission that you have to do to get the LRQ BP. I still would love to see a trader version of the ship with less crew but bigger cargo. Christian would make a great reward ship for special missions or reaching a certain rank. We still have other ships hidden away that folks would love but they are so hard to get. SC gunboat normal rattler along with the classic con and Diana
  7. I wouldn’t mind this and they can control the colors in game so we don’t have crazy sails but it would be nice and keep paints to skins
  8. If it’s a mission for all than I don’t see a problem and they need to be major ports not some Lowe end ports. Like take the Cart region and hold it all. We have to many important ports no one fights over and we also have a bunch of useless ports too. I also think any doiubkoons spent in port should should go to port owner. Teleport charges for one should go to port owner.
  9. I like this and @William Death suggestions. Also keep the chance of redeemable to same as crafting in safe port very low chance of any thing other than 3/5. Also give dedicated crafters a bonus to perks. If they have master light frigate or SOL perk they also get a bonus to quality of ship type. Bring back importance of the crafter over some refeemables. The Royal ship builder perk prob can give small bonus too. Let’s say 5% for each perk so a crafter with master and royal can get 10% better chance at crafting a better ship. Craft in a capture port and that chance goes up even more. I would even go as far as giving clans that own that port a bonus too to encourage more ship trade/crafting out of safe zones. I would realy call that a DLC ship it’s just a gift a shop like the yacht. I would love to see it in game and I think there should be a cut off like the yacht had of when you get it. Like if we go to a beta stage it cuts off those that buy the game after don’t get it. There is no diffrence right now for a tester that been here for 3 years and some one that just bought the game.
  10. You know I was sitting here thinking, could we maybe have a FFA type patrol zone once in a while? May be the shallows have a second one that pops (can be same days as others) that the battles are all FFA's so eveyr one can kill each other and make it kinda like a last man standing for those that pick to do them? I mention shallows since it's cheaper ships you can use. This gives the gankers some where to go and might actually turn on them. I wouldn't make any big prices for doing it as the spirit of the battle should be the price, but it will allow for same nation players to fight each other too. Maybe limit it to so many ships or only a short time you can join. That way folks are coming in late when others are damaged.
  11. Maybe be simple and just name it "Heavy Frigate" as we have a normal Frigate and other just class named ships too.
  12. The Division did this where the elite. Itch the game was to easy. So they made th AI all tougher. Most of the player base stopped playing. So they fixed it but it was to late. Hopefully they learned from this for The Division 2 I can honestly say there been times in past as pirates we said, “these AI are fighting better than the US.” Some players will always just be bad, but AI should always be balanced for the average player not the top elite players. Yes we can have hard elite bosses but it shouldn’t be every fight.
  13. I honesltly would prefer my DLC would be for the BP's of the ship. Than maybe give a chance for some one to find the BP in game rarely with certain drops too. Than have it so that I can redeem a permit once a day (so I can't craft more than that). This way I can make my ships and have my crafters name on them and they are how I want them to be. Using a note or redeemable just always bothers me as it feels more like I just made a store bought ship. You could have them as rewards after doing certain missions chains or something. I really hope that most ships including DLC's have other means to get them. I mean I miss my dang gunboat and that wasn't even a special ship. Honestly think that should be put in the normal crafting or in the Admiralty shop.
  14. PUtting a large red zone around the Port Battles ports shouldn't be a patrol zone, but it could be boosted rewards for PvP in those zones like how POTBS had the red zones as you start and finish AGRO until the port battle happend. We use to keep certain areas red/hot on purpose just for the PvP. We didn't have to gank newbie zones and capitals cause every one knew you could go and get PvP in those areas. I personally think the Pirates capital should be move to Kidds. Than again I don't thin k pirates should be a starting nation, you should have to become one (like how you use to have to by attacking a friendly). Than make Mort a PvP hot zone, by making it Neutral for all to use (like a free town). Any one can use the ports in that zone to craft and hang out, do so at own risk cause it should be the middle hot zone of the map for PvP.
  15. Maybe they will add nations that never sailed the time in that region. You know to be historical and all. Depending time period mediterraneb sea could be fun as a Barbers Corsair.
  16. That makes me wonder those high PVE players posted on the spread sheet wonder where they grind cause it’s not in main areas. Prob like your neck or the Gulf. I use to catch folks all the time in Gulf afk running trade ships. Should go back to hunting those waters early Sunday mornings. some of y’all forget that folks have jobs and real lives. Thanks giving weekend was the first weekend I had off in two months. I would like to jump on and do a few missions/AI fleets and log off without worry of being tied up for 3 hours with gankers jumping missions. When I have time to RvR or PVP I’ll do it but I shouldn’t be forced into it. Telling me to go play one PVE server is just wrong as it doesn’t have all the aspects of the game I like and yes that is PvP. oh and I never hunt AI in the safe zones. I’m either in the shallows or some other part of the map less travel.
  17. Some folks like to play all parts of the game. Not just only PVE or only PVP. They want to do some pve without fear of constantly getting jumped and be allowed to go PvP on there own terms and not be forced into it. Oh I said this the other day and will honesty do it. If they rolled PVE server back to historical nations owning ports and allow you to raid ports. Fight the AI for the port and than you keep it for a week and it goes back at ends of week tonhistorical nation I’ll start to ply over there. Right now there is no players no content and having every port neutral is just stupid. It’s not we can’t take a trade ship into them and get stuff. Maybe even just rest the whole map monthly instead of weekly but give them something to do instead of just kill AI in ow and missions.
  18. There was mention that they had so many extra they could put some in loot tables. i just hope we keep them in the proper times. It’s already bad enough we have nations that should even be in game other wise. I’m going to want a certain US Navy jack if we are going out of time for ships allowed.
  19. Though it would be nice to get an updated post of what each nation gets. I do think some nations get short changed compared to others. Though that might be more just of shortage of flag options for this time period. There was a few US Flags I would of added but the would of been past the cut off time.
  20. And not every one has multi monitors or computers.
  21. @Hethwill the Red Duke most average players never see the no shooting part cause they don’t hug the AI mainly out of fear of being instant boarded and killed. I seen it a frew times but most the time the AI is turning all the time and going through irons and doing other stupid stuff than staying at my side
  22. Yah I know it wasn't exactly, but I had a bunch of ships that was on sale and no dock space so had to repost them and that was the quickest way to test the market that first day. I mean this was the very first day of the patch. I figure by end of week some one would have a better crafting conversion made up to get a more real price on things. The point mainly was that the guy bought them and than jacked the prices way up on Heavy Rattler cause he didn't have a clue what the real market value was for them. Also remember the H Rattler took a permit before, now it doesn't. WOuld been nice if they told us what to do with all them useless permits? I ended up just turning them into the store for doubloons.
  23. The first week of the patch I took some shallow ships, Heavy Rats and posted them for 10K I normally sold them pre-patch for 250K if they have no perks and 275K if they have. A pretty good mark up but not insane profits (thinks it's like 50% profit). Well not even 10 mins later some one bought up all my ships I posted and put them for 24-25K. He had one ship posted for 34K when I posted them and was trying to not look like he had it marked way to high. I asked him why and he said, "you posted them way to cheap." 10K is 1/25 of 250K which I thought since the excahnge was 1 to 25 when the patch hit it would be a good starting point for testing the market. I see folks do this all the time specially in capitals....buy up stuff that folks post for a decent price and than resale them much higher. We use to have problems with folks doing this in ports we staged for PB's and other things. Got to a point we just stop posting repairs and handed them out. Some folks have no clue what it cost to actually build stuff or they think labor hours are worth way more than they should be....to me labor is a free coast in buidling so I make more profit on things I sale, but keep goods below the market value to sale faster.
  24. I really don't see folks bitching about the removal of F11, it's more they lack of the actual tools you just mention here. They need to bring back cords and grids on the map to allow folks to navigate and make changes to there course. No one has really asked for a GPS dot on the map, with cords and grid you still got to look at the map and figure out where your at and navigate there. F11 is rarely used in gank fleets any way.....casue all you have ot say is, "I"m getting ganked in fron to such and such port." and more folks will know where your at. Yah love how all these maps have cords and such but we don't have them.....great age of sailing game we have here.
  25. Of course they used landmarks when getting close to familar waters, but they also had charts, maps and could plot out a proper course and get a pretty close on the Long and Lat of a map as to where they where. Bring back grinds on the map and give us a rouge Long and Lat of where we are too. Than there is no need to use the trader tool to navigate with. Though with this if I see a land mark I can guess I'm 100 K from such and such island or port....we don't have such land marks in games.
