Actually it doesn't show that, it shows the guys with no lives that do nothing but grind. Where are they grinding out? What nations? Like I said show me the DEATH top list of the guys that die the most and compare that to how many PvP kills they get. You will see a lot of guys that get killed but have zero PvP kills on that list. Those are they guys you need to look at and keep in game, not the guys that are hardcore players. I can grind a lot of PvE and never be caught cause i know where to hide from the gankers and hunters, the casuals and nobs that stay around the capitals or trying to do missions don't know that. -

Not to name and shame any one, and you can even blurt out the names, but I would like to see the other end of the list. The most deaths vs how many PvP kills they get. I known guys that never gotten any PvP kills but been killed more times than I can count. For some one to have a 24 kill to every time they day that is a l lot of folks getting killed first. It just proves pro's and such don't need help in game. You need to be look at the other 80-90% of the player base that don't get tons of kills. Hell I'll admit my kill to death ratio is prob pretty much clost to 2:1 or 1:1, but i also haven't been playing much lately and I don't get into to much PvP unless it's involved around RvR. -

Actually your wrong with that last statement. Every ship has a chance to drop Doubloons, even if you do not have any in your hull from hunting. That would be this chest your speaking of. If you have Doubloons in your hull from hunting that is just a bonus of what you might get. I mean if RNG doesn't hate you like some of use. One thing that will help on looting though if they can make AI actually obey the same rules as we do. They can't just instant board you while they are sinking and most of there marines are jumping over board and the crew is in survival. I never understood how they get instant 100% prep when half under water. -
Back on global I did this with my Second account "Dead In the Red." Know one knew it was me and I slaughter US/GB players in the shallows with him. I later did this with my 5th account Suicidal Tendencies which has level up to Commodore only by PvP/RvR (any PvE was Hostility grinding). It's not hard to do this and get things done, now ask some one completely new to the game to do this. There has been streamers that come along and tried (any one remember Appolo?) Most of them didn't last long cause the game just didn't hold attention of it's followers or was to hard core. The pirates kinda destroyed him and his group when they where lead to believe we would have a friendly fight with them. Which we would of if some one told us it was for a stream and not US just attacking us again. As said this is a sandbox and players do make most of the game content, the problem is we need to keep the casuals and new players around long enough to let them get into the other content and explore. If they get killed over and over at capitals and never get to explore before they give up on the game than they won't add to the rest of the player base grouth and we end up with dead servers like we have now.

Paint availability until wipe

In other words we won't won't have paints until after release and they can sale them as DLC. As there is no reason to not have paints in game right now cause we had a whole stack of them that can be used on curerent ships. I still got a bunch of the Eny and Bellona' paints in my warehouse. We know they gave a few out when there was some PB's problem with patches a bit ago so there is paints in game, just that they don't want to release them is it. Also unless the loot table change there is a slight chance to get them in the Epic chest.. -
OH I get that and in a perfect world that would be great, but this won't work as NA:L proves folks don 't want just PvP. It seems they don't want players and most of those guys...>DON'T FIGHT EACH OTHER< They prefer easy targets as they will sit right by each other and not start fights. Than complain there is no PvP. I say it all the time if you want a good fight than go put some agro on one of them important ports out there of a nation that is known to put up a good fight. Last I checked RvR was PvP too. I love this game even with how it is now, but I don't want to play a game that is only 300 guys. I want to see about 1K during EU prime time and maybe 500 in US prime, but your never going to have that if you only cater to the PvP hardcores who make up a small minority of the game pop. I honestly think they plan to get a tons of players with the languages they are localizing (any one know which they are?) that will make up for the difference. Which means to me they don't care about there other player base, just those that are close to home it seems. Hell than why not just call it RUSSIAN ACTION or EURO ACTION if that is all you want for your game?

You mean the localization patch? what does that have to do with actually posting hotfix info? No wonder this game is dead again. There should be a few guys working on localization but that shouldn't change the others working on fine tuning game mechanics and there is no reason other than being lazy to not post hot fix's of things they changed. Funny how just about every game out there waits until after release to localizes there games, but this one stops every thing to go do it and than thinks it's good to make hot fix's and not inform the players? No wonder it's so dead right now. The problem is they only do things to help the gankers and not listen to what worked in the past and helps the newbs and casuals. I play with these guys all the time so I give feed back they state why they aren't playing, but seems devs don't want to listen to the folks not playing cuase of broken system, but instead want to make more things to help those that are breaking the system. Look who post and complains and who isn't around now? I just flipped through the forums this morning and seen a few post from those that did the ganking can't find PvP. The other thing is when you farm the crap out of the casusls they will come to have enough and leave.....so what will they do to keep these players and others, cause eventionally your going to run out of new players and be stuck with a bunch of the same crusty salty guys bitching about the same thing they caused with there own actions. Hell I haven't even logged into this game in a week. Been playing other games with clan mates and when I look at US TS I see others doing the same with another game too. Every one is tired of the gank fest on our coast line and nothing being done about it. Folks get burned out of being the ones getting killed over and over. I remember in an interview recently Christ Robertson was asked why they will have 80% AI in there game, he pretty much said this, "Cause when you make a game about PvP you have two types of players. You have winners and loosers. Most the time it's the same guys loosing over and over and that isn't fun and they stop playing. So if you make the game mostly about the AI with some risk of PvP you have less chance of the same guys being killed over and over and leaving the game." Until the devs understand this we won't every keep a big player base as we will constnatly loose the casuals/newbs/Sheep over and over until there is no one left to fight. They need to do things to keep these players and stop thinking we want a PvE only server. IF we wanted that than you would see all these players not playing going over ther. They want all the elements of the game, jsut not being forced into it all the time.

New search and hunt missions... really?

The problem is where is this list for the normal players? Maybe put this on the map of the capital city of each region. This region is a 1-4 regions. This region is a 5-7 region. Stuff like that helps new players and casuals than waiting until some one passes on a spread sheet of info that should be in game. Just like how the map use to tell us what you can build in each port, for a very long time it has been removed. I shouldn't have to go to each port to find out where I can put up an iron mine. It should be common knolwedge instead of going to a third party web page to get info that should be in the game. JUST LIKE DESC ON TABS, you know like what the hell the Admiralty building does? That should of had a desc on it instead of me having to ask you or other players in game or doing what i did was spend 1K doubloons just to find out it's a building that is useless to that char as he didn't have the BP's for those mods, I had them on another char that would of been more useful having that building, but no I'm suppose to learn this by trial and error.... -
If the Requin is going up wind tha. It’s not chaseing the trade ship/player it tagged. AI isn’t there to win the fight for you it’s there to help you stay alive or escape. A 6 lb medium will snap the mast of the Herc. So as long as you got guns on your trade ship you can fight back. AI gets unlimited chain shots. The problem with the AI that shows with a Requin is it’s a 5th rate by game standars crew and gun wise, but it’s a shallow water 6th rate so you get under crewed and gun AI that are useless. Toss two 5th rates and they will have a much harder time attacking you unless you just act like a noob. Point above about the 6lb was cause the other week I was tagged by a HERC while in a trade brig. He seemed like a very green player. I was able to snap his forward mast go with the wind and escape him. You kill the front mast on a Requin it can’t even stir. It’s stuck dead in the water. Learn to fight back and learn ships weaknesses.

The one I want to test is "Boarding Pikes" and see if it stacks with Axes' (or what ever it's called now) so to see if you disengage in one round. Sounds like a few Pro's (or want to be's) got handed by folks using actual mods now? To be honest the meta was lfor a good while: Attack wait for them to defend and last moment deck guns. Now there is more other options. In the past my builds where normally: Marines, Muskets and Barricades (before the attack penality) and I would destroy folks with that mainly cause 9 times out of 10 they didn't have boarding mods and had zero prep even though I was pitting them for a board. As I stated above most the time I seen recently some one got slaughted fast was the fact they had zero board mods vs some one that had them and they had zero prep verse some one that has full prep ready to go. The other thing is if the ship has more crew than the other you tend to loose a lot of crew going against a boarder with 100 crew or more than you and you have no defensive mods. -

Discord is great for just friendly chats and keeping folks up to date with text post, but when you need to have secure channels and reliable service the voice coms BLOWS specially when you start getting something like 25+ folks in one room. Over the years we tried it and every time half way through a port battle it would go to crap on us. Free doesn't always mean better after all. LIke I said it's great for friendly chatting and such. Hell we got the US nation on there so we can keep in touch with each other off game (I have discord on my phone) at all times. Do we really want them on the Discord? LOL Just about any game that I seen that has intergrate voice coms it blows an makes the game run like crap. I prefer to keep it out of the game in more stream line apps like TS. -
We have a clan leader board that shows top ten clans. This will need to have fresh active info. This info will be given to new players. We don’t need bloated info of dead clans and afk friends or alts to confuse them. Every thing should be wiped upon release. Clean slate start over no mater what you or I think. If they are active you can just add them back to the clan or one of your officers it’s not that hard. Yah we brought up clan tax of say 0-50% of earnings from kills and missions. Say I set my clan to 10% every mission you do we get 10% of the silver you earn. This would only be PVP and open worked fights/missions. I wouldn’t have it include the mission pay outs you have to go back into port to redeem. we also need a few more levels of officers. Jr Officers can get things out of clan warehouse but can not touch the bank. Treasury position can only touch bank. Recruiters can add new clan members but can pull from warehouse or bank.

I'm also kinda bias cause when we merged servers EU's got to keep there clan tags an GLOBAL players had to make new clans. It wasn't exactly fair. Also the wipe happen they didn't wipe clans. Many stayed on one server or the other cause a clan was still there instead of moving. If we are going to do a clean slate new beginning lets have one. As you said if they been idle for months than they aren't active and you need a new clean slate. Not to mention it will give true numbers of active players of that clan at the start of the game release. I know clans with 200+ players, but hardly 5 of them log in any more. Would that be a true number of clan size on day one when you have 5 active members (prob half them one guys alt) but listed as having 200+ members? No it won't be so it needs to be a clean slate.

Bet that was a fun trip, we done it in the past but that was when things where more active. We even called out the global guys telling them we where bringing unescorted trade ships around. -
While it was put in alpha order at one time, the merg though messed that up. It needs a sort button for. When the game goes live we also need to wipe all clans to get some of the dead ones off that list. If they want to. Just no need to tie up clan tags that aren't needed. To be honest the clan UI stuff needs a lot of updating, but I take it this will maybe get updated later on

Though I get the reason for the last chance with players, I don't think it's fair that AI has it specially when they are sinking. It seems Marines (which they always have 20% of) effects there crews and surval so they pretty much always have 100% minus damage to ship moral and can instant board you even with most decks under water. I just turn it off for AI to not to be able to when they are half sunk or sinking. Also why does AI get all the board mods and never gets punished

I brought up to Admin about not allowing AI to boar when it's taking in water or sinking. Players should be allowed to but if you got all your crew in survival an trying to keep from sinking you won't have board prep up, unlike AI that never seems to be hurting on crew management with marines and survival going on it shouldn't have the board ready to do so. You had 700 crew out of 1000 which means you took damage and had prob a below normal moral. That is why he beat you, but it had to be really low to instant kill you in once shot. Do you have hammocks on your ship?

Could this been a result of the Convey that was spoken of in this post? I know in the past we done this with Marsh Harbour and the shallows but took chars with 3-4 trader brigs loaded them up and took them to Charleston after sale off any goods in Marsh. It's not unheard of a trader running 3-4 ships, but you can get a clan to run a dozen of so ships to do such easly. Specially with server pop being very low right now you can run such fleets and pretty much do it risk free. Even if one or two guys get caught you prob still make more than enough profits. -
The old fix was lost of XP for damage, but it only took XP away from lower level chars. I don't want to to return cause being -1756 xp when your low level was not fun. It's just silly what folks go through cause the returns got to have been low, but if there is a will there is always a way....some one will try to exploit what every they can.

PvE Invasion Fleets (New Epic Event)

You mean pretty much the treasure fleets wrecks? Every time I gone out there is about a dozen hunters trying to catch a trade Ship. Hell I use to go out in a board fitted purple marine LGV pre wipe just to hunt the hunters and if I got a chest or trade ship bonus. It’s bad enough they jump into normal missions and hostility and you have to deal with players while killing AI or wounded. This would just be worse. @Rickard I remember I was so pissed frustrated after the second one I deleted the port I had in the gulf forgetting my totally decked out Reno was in that port from the first one. A lot of folks where very pissed over all that for 5 chest and no one really PvP
