I honestly would prefer to have some BP's of some of the ships that are only through notes and just pay for the permit maybe. LIke the Wasa the reason a lot of folks didn't use it in the past is cause it cost PvP marks, something some folks didn't have a lot of and others had tons of. Remember if you have winners and loosers some folks might end up always being loosers. What fun is a game where you never win? I know a few folks that have been playing this game for a good while just got there first PvP kill, but they been killed hundreds of times (I was one of the ones back on global killing them). with that PvP section of the Admiralty store should really be renamed cause you can get doubloons from other means than PvP, actually it seems it's more profitable to kill AI to get them than PvP. Just have to win the RNG lotto.

Patch 27 - New Economy feedback.

Yah but I use to be able to do two level 3 Iron Mines an than go do some other level 3's and have LH left overs, now you can't even do one building. I'm going to test this, putting level 1's on one char to see how the LH to prouction turns out. To me feels like there isn't really a point to o level 3's any more with how many slots you have. -
I got guns on mine and haven't took her out yet. Maybe some one will let you capture one. Kinda wish I open her up on more than one char, but wanted it at least on that one char as he's not Maxed rank and it would be fun grinding her out on that char (he's half way to RA only 30K more to go).

Than why have level 3? Why would any one leave there fields full and not harvest them? You want your stock on hand not still out in the field/minds. So basicly your saying every one should just run level 1 or 2 since you can't harvest any of it and have to just let it stay on the building cause your limited by LH's? -
That won't work why should a spireted low rank guy be limited to fight a RA? Or other wise. Not to mention just from my own expierence on other MMO's that had split areas' of ranks folks will make low ranking chars just to kill low ranking players. I use to have a char on the GW server that was rank 6-7 in the newbie area to escort new players and help them. I also had it there to kill seal clubbers that did the same but to harm new players. I done this on several games and it's been used both good and bad by players. Just like in WoT folks like to go into low tier and kill new players. That and it would be abused by alts. You don't want to get tagged? Just use that alt you never leveled up. By the way this has been brought up along with doing a PvE/PvP flag and they both have worse actions than just making safe zones. There is a reason why games like EvE has a low sec an high sec zones instead of having lower rank players on a nother server or restricting of who can fight who by rank.

I agree too and since we have other 12 lb frigates in game it has a match. The Herc and Req have no in game equivalent though so they should never be allowed in shallow port battles being shallow water 5th rates by game standards. since it’s now a 5th rate a refit of the Indianman would be nice the only way I could see a 4th rate would be a bigger trade ship.

Oh I'm sure you know what newcomers will do, Capital is not an important port, but until you actually have a clan that is filled with Newbews and casuals you realy can't say what is fun for all or what others want. You need to look at the whole picture of the game. While your play style is great for you, not every one is going to want that style of life. We need to think of things that encourage them to enjoy the game and stay. Being stuck, away from the capital cause your out of Doubloons is not something a new player needs to deal with. Oh still have yet to get Doubloons to drop in any mission or OW ship I have sunk...>RNG SUCKS<

I was hoping it was going to be the third DLC ship they talked about. Still wonder which ship they had planed for such and hope they still do plan a bigger 4/5th rate ship for such. I think the API shows it drops in deadman chest too so the sunken treasure fleets. Would be nice if they where added to more loot tables or even some added to the Admiralty shop. Give us something to spend VM's on other than ship permits. I would pay a good bit of marks for Paint chest if I don't need to replace any SOL"s as they stack up. Learn to fight back....the other day I lost two trader brigs cause the guy had two snows in fleet, but I escaped with my main Trader brig cause I demasted his Herc. Yes he was a pretty piss poor player, but than again I'm not a noob either. once I snapped that mast I took off running at full sails and he couldn't catch me even fully loaded. Now I do think the after battle needs a longer invisibility than it does now for those that escape. That would solve some of the retagging insues. Like some one metion the guy with 4 Indiamans vs 3 Hercs. 3 of those ships should of never made it out of that battle. Now though with the new system keeping that cargo and those ships woul be more profitable than just skuttling them and retagging. People still not putting guns on ships. While if he was against 3 decent players they should tear him up, but if he put all vs one and focus on that one I bet he could send them packing or take down one or two if he tried. If I can demast a herc with a 6 lbr on a trader brig you can surely do the same with 18's on an Indiaman. Longer invisibility after battle would be the only thing to do, but if he had 4 India's with guns he should of torn up those ships pretty bad to help with the escape. He didn't fight with his AI it seems an just died. I still think Capitals should always be free to let folks make it back home if they are broke, without a ship (cause they got sunk) and far from home. Maybe add in clan owned ports too for clans. I also think any clan owned ports should get the Doubloons from teleports in that port (lets say only out going) and they should get part of the crafting Doubloons. Thus giving clans a means to get Doubloons other than just through combat. They can than give them to players that deserve them or even new players to help out.

Since we are talking about missions and new players and how to retain them. I honestly think we should make a separate green zone that is truly safe for new players in the three key starter Nations. French/Spain you can use the areas in the Gulf of Mexico (give option when you make a char which one you want to start at, normal capital or Newbie capital). Make that whole green zone the same as the capital zone for rules of engagement. If LR is going to turn into a none capturable port for US than make CT and North the same, the newbie/casual friendly zones. Your never going to get any where trying to force those players into PvP, let them do it on there own. Just don't offer good rewards in these zones. We all ready have to go out to find OW ships of other nations, so make any missions done in these zones only reward basic mods and low level gear and nothing more. No chance for high good gear while in those zones. Low risk high rewards after all. Fix the PvP zones ROE like folks been asking for some time to encourage more PvP in them. I personlly loved the old ROE in the shallow newbie zones back when we had it as it keep fights small and more fair, something like that could be brought back and maybe even put it in certain zones that are meant for perm PvP zones/hot spots ( around Freetowns). Free towns should be treated like the old Neutral towns. No one can attack each other around the small green zones. This will encourage them to be more like trade zones not gank zones. Nothing worse than getting caught by bad wind trying to pull into Tumboda and some one tags you in that harbor when your just inches away from the port. You can still fight in the areas just not right at the ports entrances. You will prob see more traffic in these areas with this. Zones might have to be adjusted so not to effect other ports (La Tourt comes to mind on this one.).

You mean three nations that actually was in this area in this time period unlike three fake ones two of which never had naval presence. We all know they created those three to kiss the arse of certain players other wise if they follow the historical backing the bring up all the time they would never been created.
-
Even better can they be update so that combat perks are effective by your combat rank and crafting by your crafting rank. So that you can set a char up to do both if your master crafter level 50 and RA you should have 10 points in both to spend. Shouldn't have to change all the time just to go from craftting to combat.

Patch 27 - New Economy feedback.
Sir Texas Sir replied to admin's topic in Patch Feedback and General discussions
Only one problem with this, unless something changed since yesterday we can not see the ship type of NPC ships. So how am I to tell that is a Teak/Teak 5/5 trader brig or just some shaby fir crewspace? I know I brought this up several times can we get sailing xp for travel to go towards Ship XP. I'm very sick of my Trader who's been all over the map in trade ships has zero slots open cause he hasn't been in combat. I still don't get why they only have 3 slots over every thing having 5. -
While it wasn't all like pretty stream he was fighting and I would prefer that than the guy that does nothing but float around and videos the fight and is pretty much useless the whole battle. I also learned a few things from watching that video that was very interesting. Loved it when I heard, "ALL CARROS ON THE HERCS." A build I been trying to get folks to do and not get capped to fight the Requin...lol Just out DP's folks you fight an you will win. I also didn't know they moved the other cap circle so that is intereting. See what happens when you never attack a port. I think US tried a few times but we got screened out before we even got half way there. lol

I didn't know they move the one circle since it's been so long since I did that port, but way to many princes in that PB for sure as it's a Brawler that ends up at A being the control. Now how the circles are set up it's really to the advantage of the attackers.

Patch 27 - New Economy feedback.

have you done any resource harvest? Level 3 buddings you can get 1500 out of the 2000 stuff for 2000 Labor hours. That is one out of all your building just burned up all your labor hours. Than what is the point of having 5-10 building slots if they are always full cause you can't harvest them? I didn't meantion anything about cost other than the actuall hours of harvest. Haven't gotten that far cause I can't harvest from other buildings until I get more resources (I got tons in clan warehouse but trying from fresh). I'll let you know in a week when I get the resouces gather up. -

@admin The labor hours needs to be adjusted. I don't think I even had my Food farm full yet and I went and did 2000 Labor hours and I still got 600 food left in it. I get the Level 3's are worth like two old buildings, but we can't ever retract all our resources if one building takes it all, lets not even count 10 buildings. Not sure if the production is to high, but for sure the labor cost is way to high. I can see maybe runing a bunch of level ones, but what is the point of having level 3's if we can't properly retract from them? Even more what is the point of having 10 slots if I can only harvest from one at a time every three days? -

@admin I keep forgetting to ask this, what do we do with all these worthless permits we bought for Shallow water ships and 5/4th rates that aren't needed in crafting any more? I have tons of Rattler, Prince and naiaga permits that I don't need any more? -
Risk verses reward
Sir Texas Sir replied to Old Crusty's topic in Patch Feedback and General discussions
If you look at the screen @Christendom posted above that 1648 Doubloons was from the kill not what he had in his hold. So loto pay out of Doubloons can be profitable for some one. The problem is does it pay out that for every PvP kill cause it sure as hell doesn't for PvE kills. Well for those that RNG just hates which I'm one of those players. I did notice they increased missions to 10 max compare to 5, which was good cause than you can take more of those Hunt and S&D missions to cover mulit rates/ships so you can get credit for PvE/PvP kills alike. -
@admin a run down of the changes would be nice as some of them I can't tell if I lost something or gaine something with the name changes and it seems I have way less books known than I had before and now some or even mods. Would help us test things better. Thanks. This sounds like a good time to return the old paint chest? I mean i wasn't one of those with the failed PB's but I would be very happy if i got a Paint chest for that if I was one of those players. It's not like they aren't going to be all wiped before released any way? #bringbackpaints
