Yah they changed it with patch but the BR needed to be adjusted casue if you had 25 Ag's vs 25 Ing's and you kill the towers the Ag had more BR and you would win by default or something like that so they changed the BR for almost all ships.

Surrender to avoid hostility?
Sir Texas Sir replied to Sir Texas Sir's topic in Patch Feedback and General discussions
OK we just had it happen. Me and a clan mate tagged a 3rd rate in front of a port. He was low on crew and the towers started to pound into him. He surrender before we can get guns on him and do any damage. So niether of us can claim his ship since we didn't do any damage and I'm sure there would of been no hostility points since it's a region we have a port battle in a few hours. Though that brings up another thing I know they put the ship locks on so you can't steal caps, but we couldn't even caped the ship that he surrender cause it was the tower that did the majority of the damage. -
I have to agree with you and they all have there strength and weakness. But there are other trims out there that are great too. Some might say the Pirate Refit is to OP or even the British one with the 5% reload with the right perks and mods can get you 25% off your reload. Yah we will see a lot more of these builds for port battles and yes the ships will be slug fest. Don't bring your light wood ships to a port battle folks. Every one I have for port battles I made for brawling and they are pill box tanks. While I have diffrent ships for PvP and even PvE (did I just admit that?)

I just spent a good time and either just having poor luck, but where exactly are the notes of how to set up a Tournament and such? From what I understand and could be just lack of info the room is locked to only those that the Devs give the passwords to so you have to contact them and set up the Tournament in the first place with there blessing. You can't just go in there and set it up. I though I read some where when they set up that part of Missions that they gave out the passwords to mods and folks involve. YOU WANT TO KNOW SOMETHING? PVP2 and PvE has ZERO MODS INVOLVED. So how exactly are we to get in contact with them and get things set up even if we wanted to try to do a tournament. There was talks about doing some races and such but it all ways died out cause folks either got distracted, didn't know how to get tournaments going or just well lack of interest. We don't have the community Mod/Dev support like PvP1 does and to be honest a lot of folks on the other servers feel nothing more like the Red Headed Step Child of the project. To be honest I think we should just merg all three servers and be done with it until release. No special PVE server and no special location server. One server that every one is on and that we all are testing and involved in the same things as each other.
-
The only issue I have is why haven't any things been planned for the other servers. PvP1 isn't the only server in this game after all. So if there is ever a merger than the guys that have had a chance to get these rare ships will have the advantage of having had chance to get them when others didn't. Well unless they do a wipe when they do the merger.

System that will Fix Long Travel Time
Sir Texas Sir replied to Ned Loe's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
The two in the open water are way to close to things like say KIDD's ISLAND. This wouldn't be a good solution. I'm still for the only way to move a ship from one port to anther is to sail or us a ship delivery system that takes time like it does with the materials-

Remember the mast force bonus is like having stay sails (I think that is the correct one) and they can be stacked with the mods. That is where I'll catch you over the fact you would have what a 1% speed over me? Than if I can catch you and out turn you I'll be the one that negacts your faster reload with the Brisitsh Refit. Would be good to test. i'll let you know if I get a ship built out of it. I used the two trincs we tested early as the one with Pirate Refit is actually faster in battle than the one with Speed Regional.

Pre-Logging ships in/at the contested port for port battles
Sir Texas Sir replied to D4mi4nNL's topic in Tribunal - Трибунал
those attacks aren't game related. When we had that big one last month that was causing the US server to go off line and lag. Well both my team speak for my WoT clan that is position in Dallas TX and the NA clan TS for this game which is some where in east coast got hit at the same time. There are several pages you can go check and it will tell you the traffic attacks that have recently happen and there source. Those bad ones a while back come from over seas. The ones the other day was from India hitting EU area that are known for having a lot of server hosting. -
prob should F11 it if you want any results. Oh and next time watch where your sailing. I thought I was going to do this with a suprise AI NPC cause I picked it up out of the water with my Bellona and just dropped it to the side. I thinks some of the collision is mest up a bit, but best way to help fix that is to F11 it when it happend so the devs can look at the logs and see what caused it.
-
Most folks grow out of the basic cutter pretty fast but it's the only ship they can sail other than the Lynx at that level. Most folks want to get into ships they can use all there crews by time they get to level 2/3 and those are the ships you can sail them. I have suggested that we make the officer tied to each ship. So you earn experience for that officer and that ships crew The longer the ship stays around and the more fights it's in the better the perks it can have. This will work great when they go to a 1 dura system if they ever do. So it will give even basic ships the reason to keep around cause it has better crew than say a brand new green crewed exceptional. This will also give the game more of a feel we are the Admirals of our fleets and not the exact captain of every boat.
-
Just to let yo know we tested a Trinc with the Pirate Refit and another with the regional Speed perk. The Pirate refit has 2% to speed but has the sail force thing. The regional speed is 5% speed. Both ships had no mods on and was built exactly the same speed trim and out of cedar. We found in most winds the Pirate Refit had a higher top speed be a good bit over the speed regional. That force main mast thing also helped you get to top speed faster. Than add in the board perks it has. It's a way better build than some one trying to go all out speed. So be warned we got some very very very very fast Trincs and even now Connies out there. Than again it's something you would expect from pirates ships being able to run other ships down faster. I just don't get why folks don't use the pirate hunter perk, powder monkeys, rum ration and improved mag against pirates when fighting them. Than ad a regional bonus like the French and British. You talking about around 25% to your reloads (It was 25% before patch doing this combo without regional bonus). If folks wills top running than they don't need that speed. Every fight I been in on OW lately all the guys do is hit my sales and I have them almost sunk before I do a sale repair and I only have around 10-12.5% to my reload depending on the Mods and perk I use on my combat set up. That one extra knot (now half of one) really didn't mean crap on a pirate unless you plan to run from them or if they plan to run from you. Nationals had it way better to set up great combat ships. Specially for port battles against pirates. It is not a 7 to your armor it's a 7% and it's only off your base armor. So if you base is 73 than 7% of that would be 5.11 so you will have 78.11 armor thickness. Add in the Live Oak + 7 and stiffness +2 that would only be 87.11 not 89. Remember it's a percentage not absolute number for the regional strong hull. I would say the Spanish Hunter is going to be a good stern camper for some ships. I'm thinking of making a surprise with this regional if we get a region that has it. The turn rate and the better aim will help big time and the sail force gives you better speed at certain directions. Good for running some one down and stern camping them.

Don't you have that backwards? LOL Yah I multi task like crazy when I play this game. I normally looking up stupid things on YouTube and google while chatting with clan mates in TS and seeing what all is going on with other games I play or have played in the past. Watching some movie or stupid TV show. Hell I'll even leave the computer and do stuff like laundry, clean the dishes or cook super. You think these guys don't have a clue how to multi task. I'll admit lately I been getting back into reading when I'm doing long hauls. I use to do my reading while traveling from one job to the next as it's some times 20-40 hours travel from one side of the world to the other for jobs, but since I been laid off I haven't read one book. Just open the iPad (I know it's not a real book) and read as I watch my screen to make sure I'm not getting tagged. You will have to many complaints if there is a chance to loose the ships so just do it like deliveries and have it take any where from 1-24 hours for the ship to get to it's location. This will keep from the need to sling ships and hunt down a AI trader to tag just to do this or using alts in other nations.

Quicker access to PvP
Sir Texas Sir replied to lokii's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
Leaderboards are not a good thing. They tend to turn into a very toxic numbers game. You get folks that seal club to get there stats up and than brag about it. You have really good players with crappy stats cause they fight against over whelming odds. I rarely have ever seen in game (not counting mods) that tells true abilities of a player. Now Rewards, Achievements and Titles I'm all game for. We really could use a reputation system in game. The talks about PvP credit system that you can turn in for paints and even maybe redeem for a special ship is a good way too. Loot/Drops that actually mean something. I'm so sick of getting grey mods for a good port battle. I'm freaking Curse in a SOL in a d SOL battle and I get a stupid grey mod? What the hell? But I can kill a Trade Snow and get a Master Craft mod. Epic Events should have these special loot drops over most random AI (maybe just a better chance?), but make the loot drop more for the fight or those that do the most in battles. Low in loot should be in low in missions while HIgh end should be in your top missions. There is a reason I don't play CoD type games. If this turns into a lobby fighting arena game I will stop playing it like I did when I was alpha testing World of Warships. I just lost interest in it faster than I did the warplanes one. I'm not on here to do that type of fighting if I want that I'll go play those games which I have 1K of hours in WoT as is but haven't played in weeks or even months. You want more PvP put a dot on the map in a region saying most of the agro is in this area. Hell it doesn't even have to be in the ocean just mark what port is getting the most in that region and folks will have a smaller field to search for the missions and join them. I'm kinda agreeing with the server mergers. To me PvE server is just pointless at this stage for a few players. Yes have it when it goes live. Fine we will give them guys that option. For now make an area like the Newbie area that is PvE only and let them play over in that little kiddie pool area like you mention doing with the Pacific coast line. Sorry stop trying to make every one happy, you just will never do it. They don't deserve every thing the PvPer's get cause they aren't playing PvP. Ever game I been on they had limit of the "SAFE ZONE's" and you couldn't get the best gear unless you went into the PvP "DANGER ZONES." I know a lot of folks are going to hate a server merge, but lets be real here if we are really play testing this for you than you need to treat this as a TEST ALPHA. To many folks are into this game as if it's fully released and I'm sorry you will piss them off, but so be it. If they can't understand wipes are needed and some time all getting on one server is too than they aren't the players you want here later. More than likely a lot of them will come back when the game goes live cause it was a game they paid for after all. Oh and I'll be honest last night I left my clan TS for a few hours cause some of the guys where bitching and moaning about lack of PvP. Well you know what they could of been doing those 2-3 hours. Actually going out there and finding it. Half them refuse to fight in the shallows cause it's benieth them and they are complaining about no one wanting to fight their 1st rates and ship of the line. You know how you fix that. TAKE SMALLER SHIPS OUT. If we are so skilled that we can beat them any way why do you need to be in a SOL to win a fight all the time. Some one said that folks don't play this game to go back into little ships, but I say BS the majority of the players like to play in multi types of ships. It's the elitist that think they should only fight in one ship and every one else must meet there terms that are going to complain and leave. Let them. They prob are the same guys that rarely fill out F11's or post feed back on the game other than to complain. -
They really need to put in a ship delivery system like we have for materials in free ports. Though I would say that this option is only from out post to out post and should take a good while just like the in game delivery system does. So you might get your ship to the new port in 2-24 hours depending on the distance. Give us 10 ports to help out the spread of ships and lack of a magical teleport of ships too. Never understood why we only had 8 ports odd number for ports. I all ways been a big fan that you have to sail your prize back to port and only to a port you have an out post in. This gives more chance for PvP as folks can recapture back these ships. Specially if they are SOL's. This will make them even more rare cause you couldn't just cap it and send it back to your outpost. You have to crew them and most the time it's a Prize crew so they are under crewed. Med-kits should only allow you to get your crew back up to original ship/fleet crew strength and you can't just magically fill ships with your crew pool until you get back into port. Though with this Doctor perk should be auto at end of battle. Even if you cut it down to 50% crew back after battle if you don't sink. This will stop the abuse of guys bringing fleets with there SOL's and when some one tells them there are players out side and they send there SOL's home and jump into there under crewed basic frigates they don't care about loosing. We been seeing this a lot lately when we go to stop hostility or just to get some PvP fights.

(easy) Display lost cannons
Sir Texas Sir replied to Slamz's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
That is funny I actually watch that as most folks have one deck locked and not in use. So if I see them reload and it says 16 - 20 I know they are 4 gun short on one side. The only issue I have is when I send a double charge right up there stern and kill cannons it's nice to know if I just took out the stern gun or was it just some random other cannon. Other wise the only way to know right now is when they fire back at you lol. -
Some good points, but way to many notes needed. I think there should be one note and only one note for the exceptional ships that you need. Any one can build a basic ship, but the exceptional needs one note of that ship type. Kinda like how you had to get notes for certain ships in POTBS to be able to final your deed and craft that ship. I'm more in line with this. Basic are sold in stores by NPC. Common are the base level any player can craft when they get to the proper level. AI fleets can have a chance of getting a Basic or Common ship. Kinda how the system is now. Now your Mastercraft/Exceptional ships are only able to craft either 5 levels above the level you learned the BP and can craft the ship at or just make Mastercraft (I would prefer to call them this than Exceptional) a level 50 only skill so that it means that level 50 crafter is actually worth something at end game level other than that he can build 1st rates and Exceptional Mods. By that leave you are the Master Shipbuilder after all. Make a very small chance for AI ships captured to maybe be this level. All rare ships should not be a BP drop in a special event that only a few can build. Instead make them truly rare and only a Ship you get that you can receive when you redeem the note for it. These ships will all ways be of Master Craftsman level. With that the L'Ocean, Agamemnon, and Heavy Rattler should be part of the crafting tree for every one. Keep the SC and maybe some new ships as special and rare. Though they should never be ships that are a big game changer in fights. The Heavy Rattler is now the Meta in shollow water fights and not every nation has the BP to craft them so those that don't are going to hurt against them for the most part cause of there armor and weapon load out. Never understood why the random button was even there. Though you still don't need extra stuff if your just making a basic ship with any trim. I though it was pretty silly you can make so many blocks out of one log. Mother in law duty...feel you man. Maybe some good game play will help keep the pain away. So what was that like 2 players?

Rework Pirates (nation)
Sir Texas Sir replied to Uilleam's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
I remember not to long ago in Nation chat a Mod came out and told brits flat out that this wasn't true. US has the largest player base. British come in second and than you can guess it the Pirates are number three. The problem is we have the largest active PvPers. Well we did a lot of us took breaks before this patch and many of us just aren't back yet or feeling it. I think we might of just got burned out a bit after the US Zerg of taking most of there ports (we still had part of GoM to take I remember but we took every thing in Florida) and the taking British down to one port. As a BLACK clan member I can tell you even dooms numbers are off. It was like 15-20 members of one clan that curb stomped ya'll with the help of a few others of to fill in the ranks. I'm going to ask you to go back and look at any screen shots of port battles and start comparing them to see exactly what names you see over and over in those battles. You will notice it was the majority of one clan and certain remembers showing up all the time. Even I admit I"m kinda burned out. IF we where so big than why do ya'll all ways curb stomp us in the Bahama's? We could ya'll fight more than one port battle in Bahama with a good number of people showing but hadrly any Pirates? The Bahamas where being taking so easily by US cause the majority of the hard core PvPers where off fighting in other fronts against British and the Dutch/Swede/French. I would take breaks and go help COM and ZILCH in the shallow waters cause I enjoyed little ship fights too. If we are so populated than why is it just about every fight i see lately has been one sided. Most of them have been even after you take out all the AI 2/3 vs 1 or more with the US or British have the favored numbers? There is a reason we screen shot our fights cause ya'll keep living in this dream world that it just can't be 15-20 players making you all look like complete fools. You want to know the secret? STOP FIGHTING EACH OTHER AND WORK AS A NATION. Well no do keep fighting each other, but maybe go to war with Brits and Fight each other. Than maybe we can just enjoy PvP by meeting ya'll in the open world. Oh and stop complaining when we bring 1st rates to a 1st rate battles. Maybe if you showed up to those fights in 1st rates instead of frigates you wouldn't got sunk, or better yet maybe if ya'll actually stayed and fight instead of running than you would prob win more fights than loose them.-

Rework Pirates (nation)
Sir Texas Sir replied to Uilleam's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
One way to do this is like they do port battles. Have three type of ports you can dock your ships in. Deep, Normal and Shallow water. If it's shallow water we all know certain ships of 6-7th rate can only get into there. Nothing really changed here at all. Though we do have some ports that you can wiggle you way into with something bigger. That is fine but maybe put a limit so that it's only the Frigates that can get in those special ports not all ships. Than you have the normal ports. These have a deeper harbor and allow only frigates and below in unless they have some of those special ports that might allow a SOL in with some slow skill wiggle work. Though I would prefer not to allow this, but this could be a simple easy way to say the ship dropped anchor and used it long boats. Most ports didn't really have tons of dock space and this is how most ships came to port. Now the last poor are our deep water ports. These ports any one in any ship can just pull into the harbor and drop anchor and enter. I would love to see these zones in the open world too. Right now it's pretty much only deep water and shallows. As we all pretty much seen Master and Commander the movie he used a more shallow area that his ship could get through to cut off the much faster larger ship. We can all ready do this with Shallow water/light ships and anything bigger, but would be nice if we could do this with Frigates vs SOL's. Some area's the SOL's just can't get into. This will limit the use to them to certain areas and you will see even less of them used all the time. With this shallows needed to be added to OW battles not just on OW. So you can use these spots to beach unlucky Captains that might chase a smaller ship into them. What do you mean we have 3 blocks now? That is what I think if funny when folks complain about pirates being a Nation and such. Well we are at war with every one and it's sad when the two largest nation on PvP2 can't stop a few silly trouble making Pirates from taking them down to one port. You have the numbers, you have the ships, you have the means. You just need to stop bickering one another and get your head out of your arse and do something about it. It's not like either Pirates on PvP1 or 2 hasn't been taken down to one port and put in there place. It has been done and can be done. They aren't OP, they aren't hackers, they just are better organized and doing what you can't with no alliance what so ever other than maybe ones word/gentalman agreement with some. Showing up in 1st rate battles with only frigates even though you out number them is why you loose. Showing up and running leaving your 1st rates behind is why you loose. Showing up in basic ships and no mods is why you loose. Running is why you loose. Showing up in fail fit ships made to run is why you loose. It's not the pirates faults they bring better ships and more organization to the table. There is no OP magic skill Pirates have and no the Devs aren't giving us hidden magical talents. As with many of the smaller nations that do well it's cause they don't bicker and have so much interfighiting as you get in the bigger nations cause every one/clan wants to do there own thing. If folks want to stop Pirates from being like a nation and do as Admin said and be a Nation and stop them. Majority of the Pirates in history where mostly Privateers for one nation or another and a Pirate to those they attacked. So really why don't we get a Privateer mechanics for Pirate Republic and than when outlaw gets here those will be our true to word PIRATES that didn't care and will hit any one for the booty.-

Now all the crry babies can make there 3/5 ships they HAVE TO HAVE TO WIN. Sorry if you sucked before hand a 3/5 ships isn't going to help you over a 2/4. Though thanks for posting the patch notes. Still think they should be dropped a bit sooner when the servers go back up. It's been 3 hours for a small short post and I know ya'll are busy and all.

Devlog: Forthcoming content patches plan
Sir Texas Sir replied to admin's topic in News Announcements & Important discussions
The last part is why Doctor Perk should be something every one have even if we get it at a certain level or something. Along with area control should be something that all players have cause just magically telporting when you 100-500m away from some one cause you haven't been hit in certain time period in a hit box (harder and harder to do when less crew and sails are left) just cause your moving for the board or kill. Other than the Doctor perk maybe at a lower level? All ships get 20% crew return at end of battle, but you get the perk and you get 70%. That would work too.-

Throw in the guys that have collected insane amounts of resources and gold through exploiting bad crafting/trade changes over time. Lets not forget the guys sitting on tons of 1st rates and such they aren't using. I know this will hit some folks even in my own clan. If some of the others on PvP2 actually know how many ships some of our guys are sitting on from either crafting or capturing they would freak out. I think we are way over do for a wipe and clean slate to put every one on an even playing field to work on the game mechanics and better test them. Yes a lot of folks will leave and lots have all ready, but than again where those folks really here to help test the game?

War Supplied from 0 to 100
Sir Texas Sir replied to Jeheil's topic in Patch Feedback and General discussions
Needs a timer of how much can be turned in. Say 25% worth of hostility every so many hours. Maybe 4 times in a day so you can flip a port in a day over the day, but not all at once. The turn in will be locked until set time than more can be turned in. Even than there was a warning and they where able to fight back even though many bases where over ran. Dropping 100% war supplies at one time gives no chance to fight back. It's like dropping the A-Bomb on some one at the start of a war to declare and finish it all at once pretty much. Cause if they can do it with this one port who to say with enough planning they can't just keep doing it until they flip all the regions? Of course depending on the port battles and all. -
Surrender to avoid hostility?
Sir Texas Sir replied to Sir Texas Sir's topic in Patch Feedback and General discussions
Yah I can see how it can be abused either way. Though by the way the clan mates where explaining they where going out in basic ships to grind. As soon as they hit them instead of joining a missions since it's so hard to find the exact locations of the missions a lot of time they will just surrender at the start of the battle and be on there happy way. Since it's a cheap store bought grey ship they really haven't lost much of anything. -
Rework Pirates (nation)
Sir Texas Sir replied to Uilleam's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
Very close to something I have thought of. The raids are three day longs and than the port will go back to the original owner of that region. During those three days the Pirates can get the resources of that port that it would normally produce and all buildings of Nationals will stop producing. Maybe had a raid pick up for each day if you where involved int the raid. Taking anything thing from other players will never pass so I told folks that brought up that we need to keep it simple. During that time you can bring in your own crafting materials and use that port to create a ship with the regional bonus. This is the only way to get that bonus for that region. During that time it's a risk to get ships in and out cause well it was a raid after all. After a port is raided it has so many days until it can be raided again. I would make this more a port battle thing than about a region. You can almost use the old port battle flag system for the raids. Only so many allowed at one time so as to keep from the multi false flag thing or you can only do a raid once it hits a certain hostility point. Thus making raids during other nations wars a good thorn in one side or the others while they are fighting other nations. I kinda like the free port being for traders and pirates only. This would mean when nations go to attack others they have to actually have a staging point going from there nations area and not just pop in from across the map. Even maybe us the smuggler flag for all ships not Pirates to enter the free ports and other nations but your open to be attacked by those nations as if your a pirate player. Kinda how the old smuggler flag was but it works on warships too. While on the other hand just as it is now pirates can be attacked by any one. Pirates can be hired by a Nation. This can get some great clan vs clan play in the game. One Nation hires a clan of pirates making them in effect Privateers for that nation for a set time. This contract can cost the clans a good money (money sink here) depending how long the contract is for and it gives a bust/rewards pay out for the pirates....I mean Privateers. This allows them to fight as if they are that nation. Though I would say with none of the alliance perks Nationals have with there friendly Nations. It just means you can enter any battle that say France hires BLACK clan for a set time of 1-4 weeks to be Privateers for them. While they are on contract they can enter France ports and battles. Though France is aligned with British. The BLACK clan Privateer's can't enter Brit ports and they are viewed as Pirates to them or any other nation. I'm all for some more armed trade ships like exploration ships (many of them where whalers ships too) though these type of ships would make great Pirate raid ships. They have more cargo than a war ship, but less guns. Or the other way around more guns than a trader would normally have but less cargo space. Make the pirate ships a 1 dura refit like the pirate frigate that you can only get by a captured frigate and it being refitted. you can do this with the LVG and Trader Snow and maybe even the Indianman to make refit ships just for the pirates. We just got to make sure they don't end up being OP like how they tend to have been in POTBS. Other nations can still get them by the good old fashion trade/sale way or capture. SOL's can be gotten the same way too by captured, but I think Pirates should be limited on being able to produce them. I'm sorry if you want a SOL than you need to go play a National. The Pirate Capital should be Kidd's if they don't do national conquest stuff and only have a raid system. This one island can never be taken and it's the only place other than free ports that pirates can craft stuff. Thus giving them the one region perk of there own. Just like i has now.-

So what was the hotfix today?
