  1. I told you that Danish flag looks sexy. I think if i was to go back to national and it prob will be when the game goes live or they do a merge It would prob be Danish. Just can't do French, I don't drop my guns and never run. I tried US and Spanish and just refuse to go back to US. I'll be honest I just been logging in to do econ this week. Going to wait until this next patch comes out to really decide if I stick with being a full time player instead of just logging in to test things like I was the first part of the year. Think I might of kinda got burned a little bit.
  2. Doctor should be a perk every one has and that would work say 50% of your crew lost after a fight you get back. Same with Area control should be something every one has.
  3. Are even better tie the perks to a Ship and it's crew. That ship will keep gaining XP that can go towards it's perks and crew experience. You sink it starts over with the new ship. For multi dura ships maybe let it loose a point for each time it sinks. This will reward the older long running ships compared to some one that just keeps making quick cheap throw away ships. Even can make a basic ship that has been around and in many fights greater than a Exceptional ship fresh off the dock cause it has the more experienced crew and ship officers. The crafting perks can be tied into your actual crafting levels. The higher your level the more perks you get over some one that just started crafting.
  4. This is the only problem I have with the PvE lobby thing. Folks will play only in the lobby to get the nifty stuff. It should be OW event. Like the event limit on ship that changes and than later turn in points to get them, just make it OW. The same with the PvP Events. Make them Event Missions or something that you have to do certain things like only use a certain class or ship. This will get folks out of the first rates and into more frigates and even light ships.
  5. I actually like the patch and a few of the guys complaining are starting to slowly change there view upon it. The problem is so many have just stopped playing that it's boring to do nothing other than log on and do econ when no one wants to fight. My only complaint about the crafting is COMPASS WOOD. Converted over 400 logs last night and was expecting half the extra to be fine Mahog....nope every extra log at 20 logs at a time was compass wood. I'm getting nothing but compass wood so it's being annoying as hell to build ships. I accepted the fact I won't have Live Oak resources at this time until some one trades some or I go capture some. I lucked out on the cedar early on, but man I'm sick of getting compass wood at my farms. Oh back to the patch. Would be nice if they had gave every one out some redeemable to help out. That and to be honest one thing is hurting PvP2 is that US is gettin curved stomp on PvP1 last I checked and a lot of new players (we assume they are from PvP1) are coming over to the US side and we where seeing a bit of a steam roll starting. It's kinda died down, but really would be nice if they worked some system that makes it new chars made (from rolling from other nations) needs to be limited on the high pop nation and encouraged to roll the low pop nations (like Spain).
  6. The last two fights I been in was cause some one at Tort attacking a trader player and getting into the fight to protect them or just for fun. Seems you got to bait them pretty much with an easy target. Both times I was out number and I still sunk them all. Seems like to many use AI crutch too. So the only way to get a fight is it has to be alike 2/3 vs 1 any way or the 15 vs 1. I'm pretty much now just poping in to burn labor hours and playing other games.
  7. It was a concept, but seems the devs have been putting it on the back burner. I like the concept cause it allows them to have a safe zone. Than if they want to come over and play in the big pond they can. The only issue I see is resources share between coast lines. Some one can safely grind up a lot of credits over on the safe zone and than come over and use that on the PvP zone. Unless there is some way to keep it split. This is why the only thing shared between servers is your Rank.
  8. Last week I went over to PvP1 as a Curse with nothing but a basic cutter. I did one missions to get my officer and than hit a Trade Snow. I did some trading and than bought me a LVG. Not a player made one, but one from a store that wasn't bought and than resold way higher price in MT. Did some more trading and now I have a store bought Trinc. Once again I looked for one that wasn't some player buying them and jacking up the price at MT. Not sure how the other nations are but that was kinda killing new players when you do that to your own nation capital. Well 4 hours of play time I went from a basic cutter to owning a Trader Snow, LVG and Trinc and I had 1.5 million in the bank. So maybe just maybe your doing it wrong. If your making very little in a Curse mission I"m going to bet your not getting a lot of assist and your just getting like one kill. You make more money the more damage you spread out amounge the fleet your fighting. So what now you can't make your self rich by grinding AI fleets. Maybe you need to think of other means to make money. I use to make tons just with my PvP play. Though that is starting to lack on PvP2 so we have to find other means since it seems no one wants to PvP on that server any more. So I figured out some good trade routes and can easily make a couple of millions in an hour or two.
  9. I been on WoT myself this week. My clan even got me to show up for a tier 10 Tourny tomorrow. I only really been popping in to do econ and grind out the fine wood stuff. The US pop zerg is going to hurt in bit as they have the biggest pop pushing it. Thanks to many PvP1 players coming over to help them.
  10. Every one I hear complain in my group are in big slow SOL's and they wonder why they are getting raked. Well maybe if you down grade to a 4th rate and stop letting them get on your arse you wouldn't get raked. That and stop boarding ships when there are still 2-3 more ships and your alone. I watched a fellow player get raped in a board when I was fighting some one else cause he still had two AI's on him when he boarded and they pounded him to pieces he was pretty much useless the rest of the fleet mission. I use to love rage boarding in AI fleets, but now I won't cause of this. I for sure hell won't do it with players around. Even had one guy complain and said it's coward way. Well last I checked we where playing pirates and we would use any means possible as I would assume most privateers would. War isn't pretty, you use what you need. Many Large military's fell to smaller military cause they wouldn't do this and fought the GENTLEMEN"s way. That doesn't work when your out number and fighting tooth and nail. you use every trick you can. Not to mention it's a game. You play to win.
  11. Yah it's the 152 missions that gives chance for both the new ships to show up.
  12. For me every thing got bigger. It's like I put it on old man can't read small text settings. Prob have to tweek something in settings to fix that I'm sure.
  13. I kinda like this specially for the guys that jump ship all the time and change names and nation to harrass folks and just be a pain. I'm sure every server has a few or more of those. I they take an XP/Level hit every time they will start to loose more levels and just stop doing it. Though I'm going to guess these are the guys that might have multi alts and are just doing so to be an arse to folks. I been in many games that gives perks for being in the smaller nations. Though it might just be a slight xp/credit bonus for playing that nation while it's lowest population. Hell Mechwarrior Online as a Merc unit we actually get less money for the high pop nation contracts so you want to take them for either a middile size or as my Clan does we all ways pick the underdog or House Katrina depending the mood we are in. Though we never pick a House that is against House Katrina, but we have gone to help out other House that needed more players on the server. They can add this info to the log in screen with the rest of the info. Even though that info needs to be updated a bit as some folks join one faction or the other. Pirate is suppose to be hard core mode and it's really not. Just National with every one at war with them.....lol Oh and funny thing I said in chat today after something I did last night. I was hitting an AI Dan LGV looking for random mats to fill up my stock. I was in the battle and was looking at the flag since we work with them a lot in the OW on PvP2 I have never fought them. Suddenly as I see the flag on the back as I fire some cannon balls and think, "Man I really like the flag on the Dans ships. If I was to reroll a Nat I think I'll go Dan." I was US before I went Pirate. Than it hit me.....>CRAP I'M A PVEr now.......some one shoot me<
  14. This still needs to be updated on the main page. Yep and it's only to the base state of the ships armor not what wood or other things might add to it. It been average about 3-5 extra armor depending the ship.
  15. It does have slopped armor but when your that close and using something like double charge it's not going to matter. To me the Santi is the ALPHA DAMAGE ship if you want to do the most damage at one time. The Victory is like the all around brawler. The L'Ocean is more the DPSer that can' keep most guns running even if you dealing with both sides of the ship. Each have there goods and bads. Sounds like some one is more complaining that one Nation/Clan got together and built a fleet of ships and used them. I would love to see a video of this so called OP port battle and there use. Bet you we can knick and pick other issues why they won and not just of the ship they used.
  16. Should never be a push a safe button to get PvE only. I really like the concept they had with the Pacific coast so folks can play and feel safe. My biggest problem is when guys get board and they come over to one of the PvP servers and start to PvP they are in a big time learning curve cause all they have fought is AI. I see a lot of mistakes and some of them don't even know how to manual sail. As said it takes away from players that could be on one of the other servers and really it doesn't bring much to the game cause we are all ready testing the same stuff they are on the main serves. All it does is take away resources from the game development that can be used better in other places. Now I can see maybe having one after launch of the game but not really while it's in a Alpha testing stage. So you might loose some players, but really for testing to you need players that aren't willing to test all aspect of the game to make it better? We all ready have a large amount of our population threatening to leave if there is a merger or even if we have a wipe. Those players aren't here to test this game. They are only here to get there pretty little pixel collection. I'm kinda ready for a merger of some of the servers and a wipe myself and think it would be good to do a little restructuring of the servers and allow folks to move around. Bet if they did a wipe and allow folks to re-pick servers to play on the numbers will shift a bit around to something a bit better. Remember the voices we hear on here is the minority not the majority of the players. It's just the most out spoken minority that are posting and reading the forums.
  17. I think keeping it like the paints would be the only way to do it. Things they devs created and approved. I wouldn't mind a few shades for the sales to look more worn and maybe clan like. Though we are talking of grey, reds and tans. No the thing I would like to see and this is small modifications. CLAN SAILS on our ships so we can tell in battle or even at sea what faction clan they belong to without clicking on the ship and looking at the name. You see that Pirate flag on the back, but than you notice the BLACK flag on the main mast. Well crap we got some of them BLACK guys. Oh look is that DOOM? Hell it's not just DOOM clan that is DOOM himself in this fight? Well we better tucker our tails between our legs and run boys...... You know things like that cause seeing 25 Connies in one battle and than make that 50 counting both teams can get a little confusing trying to tell who is freen or foe when all you can see is the ship and not the name of who is on the ship. Even worse is the white flags of the neatrual AI that I think are all ways surrender/captured ships.
  18. I like to know when we had a tournament on PvP2 that I could of played in? Oh yah that is reserved for PvP1 cause they have the active community that can support such things. Though since I don't play on PvP1 and I don't have any ships other than a basic cutter and I think maybe the gunboat as I never redeemed it why would I be in said tournament? I'm kinda confused about this guy as we where talking about The Dutch on PvP2. I never said I was some great PvPer, but it normally tends to be the guys that brag the most in forums and say global chat are some of the worse players in the game. Good players tend to not need to brag about such things. Hay I hate if a leader board even shows up to show who actually is a good player or not. I know I won't be on top of that list, but I won't be on the bottom either. Back on topic I wonder if they can adjust the agro lost per server. It seem with the lower pop on PvP2 right now it takes for ever to get agr on a port even when it's not being contested or defended.
  19. They can have what ever ship they want, if they capture it. So even if you take it away from being crafted they can still get those ships by simply capturing there own. So no content is taken from them. Though until there is any Pirate Mechanics changes they are a changes and they should be allowed to be crafted.
  20. I say no. If you neutral you should be exactly that. You can still attack ships that aren't your not Allied with, but you should not be able to flip a region. You have 3 weeks to be at war with some one and take the regions you want. Once that time is up if you want to take another nations regions your not at war with than you need to vote to go to war with that nation. This will help break up some of these super alliances after a while and people want other zones they don't have. If you don't have change than there will be a stuck alliance of certain nations that will never change. That will get old real fast specially if the map never resets and even worse if your one of the nations that might of got conquered by one nation or another. Wars should be long and drawn out not flip flopping all over the place.
  21. Yah I could of swore he said he stopped playing and now he's bragging about taking the most ports? You mean empty Spanish ports? Seems they and the brits have a lot of in common. Sadly the US are the only ones with balls to take away ports from some one that fights back even if they are finding out that Pirates are NOT the biggest nation. I still don't where they keep getting these numbers on PvP2. US is the largest with Brits behind them and maybe Pirates third. Just cause we have the most active PvPers doesn't make us the largest nation. Last I checked Dutch numbers are kinda up from before patch cause there was a few Brit and US clans that switched over. What is making PvP2 a boring place is no one wants to PvP and even worse none of the nations want to fight each other.
  22. Yah just over a week isn't really a long time since a patch came out to see how it ends up working for the most part. Though I do kinda think we need to knock it down to 3 levels of built ships for the most part. Basic - What the shops will sale with basic states. Wood type and one trim but no region. These would be the Grey ships we have now. Player Common - This is the basic ship that players can build with slight better stats than the shop basic ships. Prob what we would have as Fine ships right now in the crafting. These ships can have regional bonus according to where crafted. Master Craft - I like this name better than exceptional as it means it's a Master Craft work. Can only be built when you reach 5 levels higher than the level to be able to make the Common player ship. Cost extra crafting materiel and needs a special note to create. Notes can be gained through crafting or missions/pvp rewards. The notes will be the money sink for making these ships. They are basically what all the fine materials needed now. Are you can go the extreme and make them only craft-able by level 50 crafters so it makes it something special to be maxed out crafting. Captured AI ships will have a chance to be one of the three levels. With most of them being between basic and Common level, but you have a chance to actualy get a rare Master Craft ship in some fights. Prob be reserved to epic missions or fleet missions. Maybe make a hunt the famous captain mission and you have a chance to get a Master Craft version of his ship if you capture it. All these will be rare or very hard missions to do and never SOL ships. Good way to do some new special events too.
  23. I keep telling folks to stop with the Pirates are acting like National bits cause until you actually come out with Pirate mechanics we are Nationals that are at war with every one. I'm hoping we get most of the bugs worked out of the National stuff so you can work on the pirate stuff soon. Until than I'll play as if I'm part of the Pirate Republic as Devs have stated many times. Though one issue I have with this statement is the community request since 2013. A lot of things you have in the game plan that was voted by the community was done years ago when the game and project was a different thing. Would be nice if some of these things that are still in teh drawing board might get a more firm revote or update as to what we might want or not. For not the pirate part is a mystery to every one and I think that is why it keeps bringing up so many topics cause we really don't have a clue what you want with them and it keeps feeling like your going to just make them Nationals that have no alliances. It's the same thing as folks that though the Pirate speed perk was OP. Well you know if you took the pirate hunter perk, improved mag, Powder Monkeys and Rum Rations you can get your reload down 25%. That a big chunk when your dealing with the larger SOL's We are talking about getting off an extra broad side so you can get 4 in the time some one else might get only 3. That can be the difference of an extra ship or two sunk. Or even more stripping away more than just that little extra armor/structure. The game has many means to counter other things that some one might bring to the fight. If they bring tanks you bring something to counter it. Get agil ships that can get in there and stern camp or even board there much slower ships. Even yet make it like the double charge and double shot perks that has a limited amount you can use in a combat. Basic shot still being unlimited no matter what but other shots like chain will run out after time. I never understood why these are perks any way as it's something every one should know. I also think the officer should be tied to the ship so it shows the skill and experience of the shp and it's officers. That way you don't have to change it for every ship you switch too. One ship might be specked out for combat. Another for boarding. When the ship sinks you loose all crew and officer and have to retrain them. A ship that has been around for every will have better skills and perks.
  24. Nope we couldn't cause the tower was the only one that did the damage. I think they changed it where it's locked to who ever did the most damage to keep from ship stealling in battles that others captured. Will have to test more. I was a good way from him but a clan mate was close by and it wouldn't let him claim it. I kinda rushed out of there and forgot to F11 it so the Devs can check it out. I'll try to do so next time I run across this. Since it was a port battle zone we weren't to worried about agro points from him surrendering.
