Hubs will act as capitals. Shroud will have some national goods too. Basically cities like San Juan will be providing resources on par with the national capitals. Which means impossible nations can just take a city and make it their own capital. -
Hello Captains Here is the information on the trading update patch. Every region will provide trading opportunities in unique resources specific to the region. For example resources unique for the Hispaniola region will only be available in Hispaniola. Trading prices will depend on distance from the source. The further from the destination you take the resource the bigger profit will be (even on the basic goods) Local goods become important part of the economy. Trading hubs will provide more trading or crafting resources if supplied by local goods. For example - bringing livestock from the nearby ports to the trading hub will help the port to produce more white oak. Common European goods will be introduced and will provide modestly profitable trading opportunities based on distance (horses, porcelain etc.) Rare more expensive European goods will spawn as usual and will provide good profits at medium distances and great profits if you sell them at distance hubs. The main difference with the old system are: More immersion and realism in creation of the trade routes and triangular trades. You will be able to find a working trade route and exploit it for your advantage. Resources will not feel random anymore - if you want a particular crafting good you can increase its output by supplying the port. Want pearls? - they are always in San Juan. Distance based pricing. No more extremely profitable 5 min routes. More influence on conquest. Hubs will matter more for taxes and control over resources.

The game we enjoy a lot (RUST) was fighting this for years and still gave up and added a map and an icon. -

Captains. Please discuss the usage and technical issues with the custom file, that allows you to replace the language in the game. You can also ask questions if you do not understand something in the custom file and got stuck. To use the custom file for your version of the translation: Open folder Languages (currently Langs) Copy the file named _English.csv Paste and rename it to another name (make sure new file name doesn't start with underscore symbol "_") Translate or edit that file to the language you want Save it in the standard CSV format if you open it in the Excel (file uses UTF-8) Name of that file will be available in the general section of options in the drop down menu File will be working properly after game has been restarted.

Hello captains. Please report issues on the FPS and performance of the user interface in port. Do you have better or worse FPS? Do you have better or worse GPU loads. Does it work better or worse in general compared to previous versions of the game? if you have problems with overloaded GPU or CPU - please enable VSYNC.

yes. depth should be dynamic and depend on tide as well. but this is only going to happen in future games. We tested dynamic shallows in legends and they did not work and used too much performance for 50 ships which means they will crash servers for 500+ players. Currently we need to breath new life into light corvettes and letting them into shallows (as lineships of the bahamas) will make them popular and used again. So simple 4 -4.5 meters cut off will be used for the bahamas

Sextant perk 2 points (price might change) perk will allow to determine your position at sea Shallow water based on draught of ships (experimental change) All ships below 4m draught will be allowed into shallow waters and shallow water battles This includes Cerberus Renommee Pandora Surprise (L Unite) Hercules and LRQ will be allowed into shallow port battles. Please make necessary preparations if needed. The game code has been almost completely prepared for localization. Localization/Tranlsation has started into main promised languages. Some people consider 1v1 a gank and complain . I was once shot by a friendly ship for just passing by a derelict (he thought i am going to cap it). In the future you might form some sort of friendship with some enemies; you will grow to respect him and he will respect you; and will give you a fair fight or will not fight against you if you are in a unfair situation (to his opinion) But once the xmas truce is over he will kill you in the next battle

45=55k reals cost of materials for an oak oak first rate. Doubloons are free to get from traders, patrols, NPC ships etc. Permits are irrelevant as if you captured ports you have permits from the government. -
We reviewed the video (and suggest every commenter to review it) Video you linked does not support your points. BF sees a 1v3 battle and send 2 ships in for a equal 3v3 fight. The rest stay outside. Once more players join the prussians more BF join They actively shoot ALOHA in the beginning of the battle and its not a couple of broadsides. Then more brits join they decide this battle to be unfair and stop shooting the initial participants and exit We do not see any exploit and abuse in the video (especially if you listen to what is being talked about). Also do not see un-sportsmanship behavior. If all vets exited unfair battles there would be less ganking. This topic is over but we will let you guys talk and vent a bit more. @Hethwill the Red Duke please watch this a bit. and then lock.

We are not going to force the player to shoot or not shoot We are also prefer system design solving the problem - not the tribunals. As a result. If this behavior described by you prevails two things will happen. Patrol exit option will be removed (one side must always die) but in this case people will be griefed for 1.5 hours until the end. (it happened before thus we allowed exit from patrols) or Entry to battles that do not belong to enemy nations will be removed across whole caribbean. Drastically reducing pvp options (especially for solo players)

This is exactly the point. The avoided combat argument cannot be applied here - because both sides fought (bravely) and almost everyone got kills or assists. Some clans have informal no combat agreements. Some clans have port battle agreements (they kill each other on the OW) but do not attack each other's ports. This cannot be enforced. How do you and @Caramon Mayer propose to enforce it? We had no entry before but it lead to less pvp in general. Because many would prefer the battle described in this post, because otherwise they will get no battle at all.

60k is like the price of first rate. please remember that trading prices are not finalized (generating too much money) and overall 60k reals means you just got the cost (in resources) of the aircraft carrier funded. But we plan to add back something rare to bottles (books and upgrade materials) soon. So they indeed feel like treasure finds from time to time. -
Just like we said above. Port battles had people joining to block entry to battle and be passive to help enemy win the port battle. This was removed by creating limited entry to PB. If a person in the port battle or a clan is passive you kick them from the clan or clan friend list and they will never interfere in the port battle. Solved 100% of problems. In this case such passivity is impossible There is only one case that is somewhat similar to this one: In that case a player announced his mistake in joining battle on another side and declared his intention to fight. He was warned and it never happened again. But he wanted to fight green on green (picked the wrong side). ... Overall. You do not know who is inside the battle. Some clans form friendships and help each other on the open world battles. Did they interfere with your combat, blocked you, shoot your sails on accident? There are rules on this If they decide to let go one of the enemies or not shoot them - there is no rule on this (yet) and we are not going to tell people who to shoot and who to avoid. Perhaps next time you see a patrol battle against prussians and will join on the enemy side because you do not agree with how they play. What do you propose ? How you will enforce it without manual intervention.

Research finds the blueprints Artist picks the best blueprint to get the job done without any confusion This blueprint is defined as CANONICAL because if there are multiple blueprints used there could be confusing causing remodeling (increasing time) Sometimes artists uses other ships for detailing because the real reference does not exist (Mary rose - surprise - l Unite/ or Wasa- Gustav Adolf) The made ship is now CANON and in game parameters determine in game performance. So if wiki says the draught was 4.5 meters but the blueprint said it was 3.9 meters the game uses in game draught. -
