Captains. Patch has been deployed today. The list of changes is very simple. Flags DLC was added to the game. https://store.steampowered.com/app/904370/Naval_Action__Flags/ USS Constitution note bug fixed. But the old corrupted notes will not work. Those who have old corrupted notes please ask for replacement in the support section. But the patrol and challenges give plenty of doubloons + they drop in loot and especially drop well in PvP (with bonus loot in patrols and port battles) We monitor the supply and do not see the problems with doubloons yet. The supply grows maybe even too fast. -

Captains. Here is the update on the development plans for the next months. Port UI optimization will be deployed in 1-2 weeks the annoying redraw for all icons will significantly improve. Battle UI will be refreshed and updated within next couple of months. Some information on enemy actions will be removed from boarding to discourage last click action. Flags DLC Flags DLC will be introduced within next couple of days (from today 29th November) based on when Valve approves the page Localization Game code was fully prepared for the localization Localization (translation) will start next week. Once it finishes it will feature the following languages German Chinese French Spanish Russian Korean Japanese Localization file will also feature custom language for the community translations into other languages. Players can change the custom file themselves or download community files New player operations Welcome to the Caribbean operation for the new players Replaced with player tips PVP/PVE missions We have decided against lobby based content as a result all PVP tournaments and challenges will happen in the open world New challenges will be introduced Solo patrols Group events PVP hunt missions will be added Conquest missions Ports will give out capture missions for nearby ports or counties Economic sabotage and financing local resistance might get added too. Trading and economic PVP Trading will be improved and pricing will be affected by distance from source. Goods local for Trinidad island will be extremely valuable in the Bermudas or Charleston. and vice versa. Cities will produce more goods if supplied by basic resources from local county cities e.g. Brining grain or maize to a certain county capital will help it to spawn more white oak or copper e.g. Bringing combat reports to capitals will eventually bring more graduates from europe to serve as gunnery officers Every area (county, island) will feature unique goods only present in this region. Players will be able to maximize profit by hauling goods away from these regions. Trading and crafting missions Delivery missions Crafting missions (for guns, repairs, ships) Postal services Passenger transport Port development (new feature) Resource investments Shipbuilding bonuses Fortifications Additional PVE combat improvements AI improvements for NPCs Elite NPCs Bot routes in the open world will improve NPC chasing abilities improvements + NPC aggression in the open world (when AI is confident it can catch and the target and give it some action). Captains will have to plan the movement around clusters of enemy ships (players or non players). National NPCs will also try to support weaker side in uneven battles if they are around.

I do not think you understand our words properly. Because when we said bad news - we deliver the bad news. This topic is in the news and developer announcements. Thus its news. Its bad news we know it. Removing the trader tool is bad news for some. Great news for others. Our comment was on your statement on our communications - but we will communicate with the community the way we see fit.. And if something is going to happen (if its bad news) we will disclose it as soon is we know it - we are not going to sugar coat anything or do any other AAA bullshit. AND are not going to change it just because you dont like it. Trader tool will be removed. Trading will get better as a result. Thats what we wanted to say. Its complete information at this stage but you cant know everything what's going to happen with trading, so i would suggest you should reserve judgement. -

People peculiar about the geodetic true north vs magnetic north will probably have no problem printing the map, and using the sandglass to calculate their position based on average speed. Some of them (I know one guy) play Silent hunter on real time (without speeding up and with a red light in lamp) - true story. -

You cannot get lost in this game - but if you are lost - this means you have not planned the route properly. Many people navigate by feel. I dont even use the protractor and hitting a wrong coast is exciting. Travel will be more exciting and trading too. F11 coords will be removed too after bot navigational routes are fixed. -

If the question is how do you navigate - the answer is - by planning the route. If you plan the route for example using landmarks or compass + protractor you cannot get lost. -

LOL ))) - if saying "no" and please "let us decide ourselves" is not nice to you - you should definitely move to steam forums. Steam has very polite neutral mods talking to users using carefully crafted news announcements. Which are never meant to offend. This is a development forum. Here people talk to people and can demand things from each other AND say no to each other. -

removing the trader tool and adding new resources is not incomplete information; but facts. Its an advanced warning and is part of our communication - we give news (good and bad) as soon as we know that some facts will happen. If you dont like it - well go read naval action reddit or steam patch announcement. And please stop telling us how to talk on OUR forums. -
