  1. Yep we are a business. You claimed that ship broke when click on the accept trade happened. We spent 5 man hours searching for this bug because accidental breaking of the ship during trade is a freaking serious issue and must be fixed. We requested more info as we cannot reproduce the bug. You are literally the only one who had this case since the last 3 years in early access, we need the video proof or written steps to reproduce.
  2. yep we tested for biggest differences in crew loss and indicated them for players. current best agains is based on max possible difference in kills (without upgrades and marines) but many changes have been made since original designs so maybe best is to start a new topic for boarding improvements and propose changes.

  4. Hey.. Lots of patch work thus sparse replies. You mentioned the clear cases where we could identify the bug (the policy). In your case (because you said the game failed you) we could not find the bug you mentioned as it is impossible to click break up ship from the trade window when you click accept trade button + it is impossible to break up ship without clicking confirm on the confirmation window. As a result because you request compensation due to a game going SNAFU - we cannot confirm it and spent good hours on searching for this - and need additional info to proceed. If you or your party made a mistake just say so (without directing us to spend time to find the bug that does not exist as it is pure waste - especially before the big patch). We do indeed occasionally provide 1 time compensations when **** happens and your son closes outpost with tons of doubloons and rarest ship. And we indeed see in logs that the party just broke up the ship. No need to try to blame mis clicks on the game faults (as we investigate all bug reports)
  5. We would love to but we can't to provide manageable fps (tech issues) Next game ports will be opening and guns will recoil and crews might even reload them.
  6. stuck on this. Will try to improve but it is not likely the problem is in unity centering (1 is narrow) if it was 25 it will look centered but with 15 it offsets. Changing centering will make 7 look uncentered.

  8. there is a canvas size option now in the settings allowing you to increase the size of the icons and windows.
  9. There is a tooltip (if you enable a mouse and mouseover) explaining what each does. But in general we believe that those buttons will work just like the red, green, yellow lights on the intersections. You just need to find out ONCE what each means and after that you will remember.

  11. unlocked sector auto = convergence water. It means (will try to be precise this time) that if we ignore dispersion all cannonballs from the broadside will fall onto one point on water at the end of the trajectory. Convergence 100m means that if we ignore dispersion all cannonballs will converge at 100m (hit one point at 100m) on the trajectory (at 100m)

Thank you for support and feedback in advance! ps We plan to continue to improve it but we know that some community localizations will be better (because they are done by age of sail fans who just know the setting better unlike official localization partners). Thus we also plan to add custom community localizations that are considered best by the community to official language choices (given permission of course).
  15. we posted and actually added colored icons to battle ui and they were very distracting and focused too much attention to buttons. same with boarding. it was more colorful in prototype but only looked good in static- when action starts it turned into a bloomberg stock interface and was too distracting. hence - the simple plain boarding ui

  17. Battles is where everyone spends time in and its totally ok. In terms of harmony, we will get used to it. i cannot look at the old port UI now.. new is better. But for battle UI we tried to keep the legacy as much as we could and tried to remove as much text as we could.
  18. Cannons have max angle and of course you cannot converge them into one spot at very close distance. But elsewhere you can. Convergence - water: means - Whatever vertical angle you chose - gunners will choose horizontal angle to converge on water when they fall and hit water (called 1st graze in the navy). Convergence - XXX meters: means - whatever vertical angle you chose - gunners will chose horizontal angle to converge at XXX meters
  19. we tried it but it does not look like a gun at all and does not convey direction.
  20. we wanted the buttons to correspond to the cannon reload circle indicators (front(bow) on the right - back (stern) on the left). not sure - we can change if everyone got used to old one - but new players might appreciate the new positions more (easy to understand)
  21. We will see It might be that you will need more skill because you need to count preparation and know what command the enemy plan to pick. Main beauty though is: it also removes incentive for last click changes (reducing ping dependence of boarding).
  22. we could not find a better explanation for (old unlocked) Balls converge on water at first graze (when they first hit water). Maybe some linguist here can provide a better 1-2 word explanation for UI
