AI was given an option to shoot chainshot for testing. As NPC ships cannot predict what the player will be doing they switch ammo when they are ready to fire deck by deck. Because they use standard reload times they always suffer a penalty to reload timers as reload timers take into account the ammo type that was loaded in the beginning of cycle. For example if they had loaded ball and switched to chain before firing their next reload cycle will take chain reload time (30% longer) even if they switch back to ball before next broadside. Experienced players will always find bots easy and creating more challenge becomes impossible without circumventing systems that they share with players.

На ПВЕ сервере боевые действия могут вестись только против НПС. Портовых битв не будет. Все остальное идентично. Равные бои только в евентах инстах. Делить мир на зоны не считаем целесообразным. ПВП мир есть пвп мир. Видишь противника = можешь атаковать. Вы и сейчас можете хоть ПВЕ и хоть ПВП.

Любой язык = время, время = деньги. У нас особо историй и рассказов в игре нет. Поэтому язык в принципе некритичен. Локализация когда то (возможно) появится на обещанные русский польский испанский французский и немецкий

1 вайп перед релизом Земля отсутствует в основном по технологическим причинам. Земля будет в Портовых битвах в той или иной форме. Но большинство сражений если они не были за порт были в открытом море. Даже трафальгарское сражение - земли не было видно. В тех сражениях в которых она была видна - она не играла никакой роли.

Sailing a ship of the line is dangerous. Players have to get an escort that will allow them to escape or win the fight. Everyone is currently at the PvP server and we suggest players post the proposals to the Rules of engagement section if they have something to say about why they were attacked. -
Ahoy Captains Many times developers make a mistake and add features that suck. Best developers are not afraid to cut things that don't work. Here is a great example from the game many of you (and us) liked TLDR Counter strike original content did not survive and CS devs were not afraid to throw away users hated. Please share your constructive opinion on what should be dropped from NA before the release to be reworked or forgotten completely?

1. Solo ship of the line with no escort is an easy target. 2. reinforcement should not change BR allowing additional people to join. its probably a new (old) bug. 3. due to lots of advanced thinking required and no cheats ships of the line AI actually is a lot weaker than low ships. That's why the bigger your ship is the more useful reinforcements are (more difficulty) 4. It's a PVP server and people will sink other people. Especially if you are a pirate. But i see a bright side.. Seems like you 4 are a nice tight group. Practice and soon others will run from you. I would also recommend connecting with other experienced pirate groups to sail with. Contact gamover or top bizzarrly they are nice people. Perhaps there are other good pirate captains. Post here if you are Reinforcement best practices. Call reinforcements if you intend to fight. Reinforcements are somewhat useful if you will stay near them. That's why you will maximize their DPS if you fight. If you plan to run - don't call reinforcement if your path is not through the green zone on the compass. If you path is through the green zone they will be somewhat helpful. (could get 1-2 chain shots in). If your running course is not through the reinforcement spot they will be useless and will only allow entry of others. But in general if you don't plan to fight reinforcements will not help at all. You are the pirate.. many pirates and officers roleplay. I once called pirates criminals . I have a pirate officer and sail with pirates sometimes. Re stream sniping. If you were streaming prepare for more cases like that. Find some pirate friends and make a show out of it. (lots of viewers as battles will be awesome). Or put 10 min delay to visuals or something. -

В начале только английский. в будущем будем смотреть. Преордеры продаются с 21 ноября 2014. те кто хотел все купили и покупают)) по поводу фака.. Как насчет например взять и написать красивый FAQ с иллюстрациями и скриншотами? Можете? Мы разместим на самое видно место. Выйдем когда придет время. В 2015.

I am almost back! wohoo. I think you are wrong Olav. They are not bad at all and we think they actually increase depth. They bring important life like differences to vessels. So when you see trincomalee ship its a leda class vessel and some are faster, some are stronger. etc. In real life captain could shorten masts, change ballast, install extra pumps, etc. In addition to that everyone can have them - they are not level based, they are not hard to get, you can craft almost ANY upgrade. Because of that - it actually takes skill and experience to pick the good fit-out to the situation. If you think some upgrades are too strong post it in the upgrades section:) Regardging crews. Officers are planned after Early access. Crew we are not sure. It works in silent hunter because you have 40 kriegsmarines. When you have 1000 crew they all turn into one face. Even though people say Nelson knew everyone by name. We doubt it.

Green on green damage is not allowed if the player is green to you in the tab interface and you sink him your progress will be reset to 0. Multiple green on green kills will cause account bans This is in the game and forum rules. Process is automatic -
It indeed could be good with a controller in battle. You have 4 side of the ship (buttons) You have slow aiming and slow movement (no twitch based movement) Reload could be done with the pop up wheel. Aiming and cam with a stick Yards with RT LT and triggers And it could be cross platform But the only problem is the lobby UI, We are not yet good with UI But as an instance based ST1 style game - could be. If it is cross platform it could fill the events with people. In fact we have been contacted by Sony some time in the past but we delayed the conversations for the future.

We could not switch the battle circle fast (it would have required to rebuild the client) so we just changed the battle timer to 55 mins. When circle of death starts you will be able to exit the battle.

No probabilities there You have to hit the rudder and actually break it. If the rudder is big and strong it might require multiple hits. We wanted to find the balance between complex or simpler sail management and i think we found it. NA is actually one of the first combat oriented sailing games where you can control yards and actually make your ship behave like a real age of sail combat vessel. Remember that you have to 1) Keep the station 2) watch the surroundings, waves, heel 3) aim 4) shoot 5) position your ship along side the enemy And as the max battle size is 50 ships complexity goes up a lot. You could say that individual sail setting is possible through speed pre-sets. They are all done according to Seamanship at the age of sail book if you are interested why they look this way. Sail setting is realistic and is controlled by your crew. You are the captain, you give orders and your crew does everything according to your desires. In addition to speed presets you have depower setting (taking off all staysails and jibs) and battle sails. BUT we would do individual sails if we could (e.g. can fire ALL guns individually for example) The main reason for having a preset (not individual free setting) is technology Controlling individual sails and trim would create a lot of technical, animation, destruction model and general gameplay issues. Because its multiplayer it needs to be synchronized and it increases amount of packets increasing server load in geometric progression. 25 v 25 first rate ship of the line is a lot of sails, cannonballs, polygons and positions (including positions on waves) - syncing the sails (especially if they are individually set) will get servers in trouble. In addition to that we have A LOT of varied vessels which all can be in the same battle. And it increases texture and polygon requirements. Having more types of sails and trims increases the load on video cards and CPU. And we are already not the most GPU friendly games. Having said that we would like to mention that we are thinking of making a spin-off: single player simulation game about a single frigate or a brig where you will have full control on sails and will not have multiplayer limitations with walking on deck and sleeping in captains quarters. But it will be expensive and might require crowdfunding. We will do it some day we promise .

As far as I remember you are the Star Citizen fan. I wonder how many people are in the Arena 2.0 and how many are waiting for the persistence universe? Arena games only work with the korean grind. Our friendly levelling system is not what is good for arena games. Arena events are happening every hour. But arena fans prefer to remember them on forums.
