  1. You are not, is just a choice, or rather, a option on how to work together. Hence a symbiosis, you provide models, pvp'ers provide marks. It is a rather social thing.
  2. Plenty of PvP dedicated captains, which have their own favourite models, say like a Privateer, a Rattlesnake or a Surprise, will be more than happy to let go of marks to helpful crafters. It is quite symbiotic. You provide ships, fighters will provide results and the "rewards" with you. Free market being free market, careful with the prices race. Greed always loses. Better to keep a fair margin and establish good comebacks than suffocating the stores with gold that becomes... meaningful. Now, setting up a Conquest fleet, that's a Nation wide thing. And numbers will not matter if small numbers do achieve more victories ( and marks ) lending them way into the 1st rates to lead a fleet of lesser rates.

  3. Can't get more to the point than that Rhethorically speaking that is. Which is totally dependent on us players and how we manage our time and expectations.
  4. Yes. Also we can attack the NPC fleets on the OW. Which will be kind of what can be done but you will be in the open searching for your targets, maybe in enemy waters trying to destabilize the area...

  6. Some players like games of luck. Majority of players of non-luck-games like "puzzle" games, where dominant strategies win ( human feeling of...I know something the other don't ). Once the game changes and completely removes any type of puzzle from the equation there is a lot of resistance. Their fun graphics are populated with high peaks, as they find new puzzles to break. Many other players dislike the "puzzle" games. They search for other types of games.

  13. IIRC the present Captain of the Lynx says 9 including the Captain but definitely 5 sun scorched hardy marines might. Waiting to see some posts with tests of tonnage of cargo / OW speeds / Instance speeds in the light of the changes

  15. Not related to the Hotfix 5 discussion. I am sure optimization was already pointed that will be down the roadmap. We players all expect it to happen. Some have already a FPS increase in testbed when compared to live servers in equal circumstances. Any further posts that do not comply, can be and surely will be removed. 13.   19. layout of planks is a fine art. there's a lot of different arrangements for different purposes. Do not dismiss the idea especially on the Bermuda Sloop types
  20. Sabicu ( tzalam ) is pretty resistant and elastic and holds pretty good against rotting. Native of west indies, gulf btw.
  21. Basically you are proposing: once Region has the contested status - PB is scheduled and not fought - Region is not eligible for teleport use.

  23. Has to be both sides showing interest in the region, owners providing stability and enemies working on hostility, with trade providing demand goods or cash for produce, combat against intruders. Overall showing interest in the region and not conquest just to paint a map.
