Teleportation - a few thoughts
Hethwill, the Red Duke replied to Liq's topic in Patch Feedback and General discussions
Given in tesbed there's already a lot of "estern" regionals established at La Tortue, La Navasse and Tiburon, I would say you totally underestimate the OW fan. -
New System Of Marines
Hethwill, the Red Duke replied to William Death's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
Attention that in some instances additional complements of marines / naval infantry would be on-board as per request of the Flag Squadrons or Fleet Admirals.. Less of a standard thing but more tied to the objectives set for the cruise, especially with the Station fleets.- 23 replies

It is important to know yourself and your social groups. Simply put, #naglobalserver all the way in the case of many players and groups. EU server though will simply and only limit the Port Battle timers, that's all. A fair deal of european groups will stick to EU. The most worldwide communities surely go #naglobalserver

Thanks for informing of that. Haven't fallen into that limitation but good to know. Will keep a slot handy.

Good fights Battle(pvp,pb) video reports
Hethwill, the Red Duke replied to Alex Яс's topic in National news
Not really. High penetration shots might do less damage but will punch through and may even damage all in between. In a rake it can damage, depending on the receiving end, two of the masts. Mediums and carronades with less penetration but higher damage do shatter the broadside planking more decisively albeit less decisive on those rakes, but they do splinter more. At least from my observations on the testbed. In any case, demasting is a puzzle thing, once you get the hang of it it becomes rinse and repeat, it needs practice and skill to use, for sure, per ship as all have gun separation , speeds etc. And the opponent ship will not just stand there ( or maybe it does ).- 682 replies

If a small nation ( small in what ? territory ? amount of players ? amount of pvp'ers ) is made up of PvP squadrons / dedicated corsairs I am pretty sure they will collect all the marks needed. Just pointing out a way out of "being small". But the limitation on Labour Hours will still be real no matter how many marks I gather to give to the crafters.

It is steep yes but manageable. A fair deal of players did do the "fresh new account" experiment and whatever sand was found on the gears was not related to managing investment versus risk. As a rule of thumb, you invest 90k on a equipped ship when you have 90k on the side to cover it. At Rank 3, doing missions and a half a dozen cargo captures a player has enough to equip a Brig or a Snow and the money on the side to cover its loss. That being said, I wonder how the cannon crafters will do things. If they start selling the cannons at lower price than the store than i'd say we are on to a smooth business line with the cannons.

Yeah, half correct. Arma, IL-2, etc can be modded. Can't recall any persistent world MP that is moddable.

A gallant captain will surrender for sure if he's out of options ( and masts... ). It becomes a "you had bested me sir" thing.

Warehouse space was real estate owned by individuals/groups or by the state. And a share of the proceedings of any auction would go to the owners of that real estate.

New System Of Marines
Hethwill, the Red Duke replied to William Death's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
Sure, if devs manage to make musketry in the future would be a good addition. Crew should occupy space but not necessarily affect speed. Marines in excess - meaning over the Rate allowance - should be paid by the coffers of the captain at a high rate tbh.- 23 replies

As I said I am not familiar with the "feeling". Let's get back on track

I am testing. I have no idea what grind is, not in NA nor in any other game. It is just a trait of mine.
-
Er... no ? I remember 7v7 PBs, 7v12, etc. and hey, it is a testbed. More interested in knowing if the deep water ports will still be ranked 4th and lineships.

Contested Regions should have all teleports impossible. I agree with this.

Dominica was at 85.1% yesterday. Pretty close to open ( if it happens ).

Pretty much on spot. Was something like 45(?) Marines including the Officers for frigates like the Surprise. ( can check the exact number when I get back home ).- 23 replies

Crew does occupy hold space by the way. Hope you take this into account in calculations- 23 replies

Fleets
Hethwill, the Red Duke replied to PG Monkey's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
Guess so. It surely fill a void that consumes many a captain. They drink but they are always thirsty, they eat but always hungry... cursed crews cursed captains. Offtopic: I never installed CQB/Arena for Elite so... *shrugs*... guess options for all is good aye. To sail out of port yes, 70%. At sea no.
