  2. Jus a off shot about games and how graphics / stats / perceptions can be really deceiving. This baby still played by several communities, solo players, and there's events happening on a calendar around the clock. Granted it is from a different age of game development where in game editors were a must. Nowadays not so much with some notable exceptions.
  3. Offtopic: absolutely no irony intended, I don't suffer the same "stolen toys" agonies of others - NA Sailaway mode seems like a hell of a proposal to me and many other simmers for sure
  4. That is correct. And NPC in Elite at least can be really really nasty. Also looting NPC vessels is not as straightforward. Need to do a lot of "complicated" things, destroying a NPC can lead to a net loss of 90% of cargo cannisters. The time spent doing hauls of trade to get rich fast is pretty similar to NA, with the added danger of AI attacking.

  6. How does Escape of ships works now if you are sunk ? Not using fleet in testbed so I do not know.

  11. I think the fleets ships now only escape if the player escapes ? Not sure but that's the idea I have from the testbed. Reckon some testers bumped into some situations like that.

  15. @Sir Texas Sir I think the fastest way other than waiting the full battle screen is exit to OW, Tow ship, and then exit. Just remove the GPS for no pin point "accuracy" of battle locations. Entry timer is already extended.

Despite being a space rover in a certain space game and haunting some nice trade lanes and getting myself pulled into wars where systems try to free themselves away from Fed yoke spending time just exploring places, rings, fields, etc is good experience delivery now and then. Imagine how cool it could be also in a age of sail game PvP is awesome. Created worlds to be explored and experienced promoted epicness.
  17. Given spread across a month was like 18k unique ID from the nations population breakdown posted a while ago i'd say they are around now and then. Once or twice a week, others maybe 2 or 3 times a month. I'd bet the average age of NA player is on the late 20's, early 30's, ( a fair margin of old farts as well ! ) so a schedule for hobbies alongside family, work, bills, social and all the rest away from the computer becomes full pretty fast

  19. One day production of level 1 Oak forest gives you pretty much that amount, 987 or something like that ?. Guess Stone quarry is less than a day. Tell me were does that WEEK comes from, unless you are referring to a player that plays ONCE a week

  21. Exploration could/would let the captains discover predominant tides and currents and enable their future use.
  22. Player Escorts ? Where are all the PvP addicts ? Escorting someone on the scenario you describe will be a PvP dream. Same as trying to play a 8th USAAF scenario with the german wings - target rich environment.
