  8. Thanks for bring the issue up. Maybe Battle Groups can be used to provide clan priority on hostility missions ? Not sure how the mechanic works. But i wonder that the statement - "In this way it will be impossible for small squads to take any port" - is not entirely correct. Your squad can aim to ports of adequate size, anything in the bahamas may be contested by coalition of smaller clans if needed. There's also a lot of other ports spread out that fall into the same conditions.
  9. There wasn't any in the Caribbean due to the early Tordesilhas split. So the focus was diverted elsewhere.

  13. Extraordinary ! Managing to make leeway in and dependable on the entire ship attitude and all other appropriate age of sail physics is a victory for the GL team. Decidedly the best experience for sure. Now, if we could have this intricate complexity at the gunnery level as well, with morale spreading through the engagement, with fatigue etc... wow.... *dreams*
  14. Again. Leisure time. You have no idea about anyone's leisure time unless they are in NA, in the case of our common game. Please, just please, stop making assumptions about anyone's leisure time activities to justify your vision It is way easier to keep focused on what the game is, globally, rather than what it should be to fit own personal needs or lifestyle choices. It is very interesting that many players of a multiplayer wargame engage in combat. Fascinating even. But this is interesting... "Introduce a proper Karma System and Penalties for Randomly Killing People and for Ganking People which dont even got half your Fighting Power." - define randomly - rulebook states that any shipping not from your game nation is enemy. - ganking - a result of one ship sailing alone as a enemy squadron sails by. - please explain what penalties should be. We talking a Career system here ? Or simply "please gods, punish that knave, make a sea monster appear out of nowhere" ? Snappy salute.
  15. I don't turn the game on when such occasion arise. Hope sharing this little parenting tip answers your personal dilemma. Plus we were talking about hobby leisure time, not parenting attention time. Carry on.

  20. Fleet pennants, personal admiral ensigns, navy jacks.
  21. Standard Mercury just added to collection, faced group of 2 players in Mercuries. They were dealt in less than 20 minutes. Legends...Vastly weaker ships... Glad the things learnt in NA pvp applies to Legends.
  22. It is a game, a leisure time activity. Comparatives about real life choices is moot as each one is free to make own choices about what to do with leisure time. None of us players has the slightest idea of what other players do in leisure time unless they are playing NA. If you are playing NA, grab your ships and engage the enemy or do whatever you like to do.
  23. You keep the dead speech. Cannot help you with that. Second we did already mapped the zones via our sailing raids. You will find the plotted areas in another thread. Further, some gaps are less than the tag timer when sailing with favourable wind. So what is the point here ? A PvP Global Village where PvPers defend the PvErs, in a symbiotic collaborative environment or having the groups that engage in multiplayer ( the gods of the sea forbid we play with other people let alone with other players... ) tend and look after the solo player ? For every solo pver you will have a solo pvper in a "hardcore" environment. Do not fall into the pit of assuming too much about your own particular playstyle. Solo player doesn't mean pver. That's why we have two nice servers.
