  1. You understand that no one is a slave when they love the pve/crafting part but they still collaborate with their clan, right ? Not hard, not hard at all to play a multiplayer game along with other people.
  2. I either have to buy the upgrades that the "grinding" crowd puts up for sale or I can't get them for I have no peace of mind crushing mindless bots. Rather be caught pants down and sunk by another player ( or players ). That's how far it goes towards the solo/pve crowd controlling the market. "WTS Cartagena Caulking Refit... 2 Victory marks" - like I saw yesterday. Of course everyone started laughing ... some solo/pve upgrade/book farmers are wise enough, others are just insane greedy. The "hidden" part of it all is the collaborative communities that have both types of players having their fun. No one sees their plight and their guys that like pvp are always out there fitted for a fight.
  3. First step towards this is that structure ( that middle bar thingy which represents the beams, main frames, the keel, the bottom, etc ) may not be repaired at sea - for gameplay purposes, may not be repaired in battle instance. OW timescale repairs ok.
  4. Fantastic that the wind also changes in the battles. Will the PBs be affected in the same manner; or keep the fixed wind for a time and then slow rotation ?
  5. No. It blows where it blows. Both onshore and offshore winds can be had and depends on the instance tag. Fellows may have the leeward and shoot rigging but at a point the come back upwind becomes complicated if separation is too much.
  6. 1 repair cycle. Each cycle uses X amount of repair materials.
  7. Stacking of modules and knowledge and perks makes up for the need to transport big amounts of repairs. A ship becomes a ship and a half just with 1 cycle being ready.
  8. Leeshore being the farm xD Having my bird thrown off by side winds affecting my yaw and roll is real ( let alone that it can be of varied intensities at altitudes), the final position will be off if no ahead planning is done. Pretty much the same although ships is rather more complicated. It is air and water together affecting the subject.
  9. I almost can say that it does but could only test it as much. Will continue today.
  10. Lee is very intense at the brigs level, it doesn't correlate somehow and the effect is very visible when at beam, like the ship wouldn't have a keel somehow. Was having fun in the Navy Brig testing it and definitely needs a review.
  11. With variables aye. Something I like with 1C il2 is that atmospheric conditions can vary, taking on the ship trimming to fly proper and being slightly different everytime. In NA we have it constant.
  12. what EU times ? what US times ? cheese ? win buttons ? fleets in battles had players from both places with fairly similar ships, so no idea what you are trying to explain
  13. ... and propaganda added as spice as well ? But, numbers are numbers. All good
  14. I bet the Wappen with a "white" paint will look gorgeous.
  15. She has a tremendous broadside weight. Given she uses the best recorded guns setup why aren't others also ? Surprise i'm looking at you ? Where have your 12s gone to.... !? ... maybe something could be reviewed... just saying... No need to go through all the sources again, Wasa is more than a capable 4th rate but was never built to act as a "super frigate" when compared to the Constitution for example. She was a ship of the line of battle. Same as the Ingermaland, same as a Wappen. I trust the savvy fellows of the records and archives but something tells me that she woudln't compare to a similar rate ship build for chase in the high seas ( like the Connie )
  16. Exactly. That's how that leeshore kills, as presented somewhere above. The more struggle it in the end the more intense it becomes as we tack back and forth. In small squadron engagements becomes less visible than with big fleets. Not my drawing but rather part of a sailing manual. Here we see a captain, possibly a NA player even, plotting his way to safe of the leeshore as he approaches land.
  17. That's the price of choosing the lee side Keep to windward and nothing like that will happen to you. o7
  18. Wasn't hard for several clans of a small nation like Prussian Kingdom to sail to Florida to attempt a Conquest. In the end it was thwarted by the US navy, as expected, given it is their backyard with a main naval base close by, but shows a lot the willingness of groups of players to engage. Good collaboration of clans, ad hoc logistics for an evening and pixels to be sunk. Just a question of wanting to pvp or not to pvp. Mindset of "oh no point in doing that, too far, too many, too few, we will get sunk, we will this and that..." is all excuses. Log in, gather buddies, go out there.
  19. A full yesterday evening of combat gave the best testing of the upgraded sailing control and forces. Very pleased. In dragged out line combat taking the lee has a cost when going for the demast option of having the high heel aim high meta. The wearing feels very nice and the 'necessity' to pay attention to yard angles not to bleed so much wind is very much appreciated. The feeling overall is great, leeway is subtle, not dramatic and is there. The necessity of planning ahead is very real, both in a squadron developing moves through the battle ( albeit fixed wind ) and in the local tactical situation. The rigging damage + auto skipper "instructor" is also a nice upgrade with the forces being applied correctly with manual tweaking giving a slight edge ( before it was already possible but not so visible). Have yet to test the brigs and sloops/schooners.
  20. You can acquire VMs with PvP marks, which can be acquired not only in port battles. VMs are given to top 3 nations by Conquest points.
  21. its prophet was back and storytime was overflowing global.
  22. Bigger and bigger. Still have to have trade wars back though
