    Based on the first few minutes I expected an MRF victory or at least a very close match.

    As I understand it, boarding was far from the only use for galleys. The Baltic saw large set-piece battles involving scores of galleys in gun-line formations. Concentrated galleys can throw a lot of iron around.

    I'm only 7 minutes in, and the teams in this fight are already showing more class and vigor than any of matches so far. What a splendid brawl.

    Trincomalee had a very small hold. French ships in general should have markedly lower capacities.

    Yeah, normal roundshot might as well be unlimited. If they want work for crafters, it can become another shipbuilding item.

    Now imagine if the gunboats mounted 24-pdrs and 32/36-pdrs like they should.

    In the past I've joked that we're firing sawdust-filled watermelons at each other.

    They're scared that the first trader they tag will have the Social perk, and they'll lose their new paint. ^.^

    It's an MMO. I've spent 20 minutes waiting for a match even in War Thunder.

    Exceptional ships should really cost more labor hours and materials. For example, an exceptional frigate should require lots of Knees, while a Basic one does not. Basic ships should require far fewer iron fittings, etc.

    And then gank squads would actually be a valid form of gameplay, because you would need multiple ships to catch every trader in the mini convoy.

    Maybe there were rules, but the rules were not followed. In Britain it was a serious crime to even adjust your backstays, but of course captains did this constantly out of necessity.

    At least in the British Navy, captains were free to paint their ships however they saw fit, if they paid for it. And I would assume that paints and BPs as rewards are just an initial way of introducing the new features. Or possibly some of them could be premium, who knows.

    Certainly there will be a graphical interface with some sort of artwork while in port. But it will still be 2D menus.

    Basically what we need is this: Replace Trader's Snow/Brig/Cutter/Lynx with a built-in mod that does the following: -10% speed, +30% cargo space Allow partial arming of gundecks, with a bonus to cargo space for each gun removed. Cargo space bonus for undercrewed vessels. And then keep LGV and Indiaman the way they are.

    3-6 months worth of supplies, yes. If you were making a supply run from Puerto Rico to Florida, you would only need a few weeks of supplies, and could replace the rest with cargo.

    Hold capacities were wildly inflated to make up for the lack of large merchantmen. Now that we have the indiaman and LGV, they need to be adjusted. Or did you think it was reasonable for a trader's snow to stuff half a Santissima in its hold?

    I see a gangway (two 'bridges' along the side) on the French deck layout plan. If the British widened the gangways, it's not a significant change.

    Random is already faster. It can't get any faster or it causes issues for the sound effects.

    I don't know what you're talking about with 'continuous weather deck.' The British just built up the forecastle barricades, AFAIK. I would be surprised if L'Unite lacked gangways entirely.

    The enemy sure didn't paint ships either. It would be great if Constitution came with an option for a different color scheme, but making all ships painted 'bright' (varnished and oiled wood) with subsequent MMO loot paintdrops is a no-go.
