  1. In the great words of Beyoncé “'Cause if you liked it, then you should have put a ring on it” Don’t want to lose the ports? Put a timer. The solution to your night flip problem is at your fingertips.
  2. Group with the most DLC ships wins. This was a deep water PB mind you. After last night however, it feels like justice. @admin are these the type of dynamic deep water PBs you wanted?
  3. Laugh after last night.....watching spain get out DLC'd seems like justice.
  4. Wasas while OP, still had to fight to win PBs. You didn't bring wasas for their ease in kiting. The current DLC meta in deep battles is to avoid fighting and contest (aka kite around) circles. The only counter to the current meta is to bring more DLC ships. Wasas were countered by bringing heavier ships. We showed up for a deep water PB. We weren't aware it was actually a shallow one.
  5. My initial thoughts at seeing that fleet when we joined was that we should just fucking leave and not bother. My opinion didn't change throughout the battle. zzzzzzzzzzzzzz What a dynamic port battle system we have here.
  6. Don't ask questions if you don't want answers..... ? Lol. Are you huffing the same bath salts as Graf? Starting to lose it bro.
  7. If you want to get real technical Spain first attacked the evening pirate port of Portillo. We weren’t too fussed about that one honestly. Then Spain decided to try and screen us out of Manataca. Manataca was a response to the Russians attacking Parrot Cay. We are clearly the victims here Your screening + Ketunpoinka attempting to sink our traders (and failing) + Portillo = War. About as simple as I can make it. JAGs and 7up also tried to screen the French out of Ruuatan causing a similar reaction. The common denominator here is JAGs.
  8. I dunno. I’m having fun. We could lose Key West tomorrow and I’d still say we’ve been having a blast. Frankly if we trimmed back the number of nations and increased the size of the battles on half the ports the game would feel a bit more active. Take little cayman tonight. That’s what a 7-8-9 person battle? Hard to motivate a nation if only a handful of people get into the battle.
  9. More people fighting each other is a good thing I think. Is JAGs unwittingly saving Naval Action? Could be.
  10. Your failure to believe it as truth doesn’t make it bullshit. #thanksjags
  11. So fight it while you had the advantage? The decision makes zero sense. Surely you could if caught 1 or 2 more in there.
  12. Still looks better than this screenshot. It doesn’t take much skill to win a defensive hostility mission fight. It does take a lot of skill to just surrender at 4am after you got a port to 90% and failed to flip. What a choke job. At least we flipped the port. And we didn’t have to get up 4am to just surrender ships. Sad
  13. We have no alliance. Just a common enemy. Spain. We were out for a quiet cruise last night and came across a lone Russian 1st rate and a couple US hostility missions. Feeling vengeful after the US decided to gank us while they were helping out at a Swedish PB...even though we helped them at Harbor Island a mere day before ... we decided to exact vengeance. It was absolute. Tomorrow maybe we’ll go help the US up at Cabo. Or maybe we won’t. That’s the beauty of being a pirate. We do as we please. No alliances or attachments to bind us...or in the case of yourself, attachments that lead to our collapse. Lose ships, lose ports...who cares. See you tonight. Hope you are rested. Maybe we’ll get in the port.
  14. Same thing that happened to your fleet at Bensalem. We didn’t surrender though. And we flipped the port. No balls huh? So we should of been the 4th nation tonight attacking the French? I dunno, sinking/capping 7 oceans, 2 bucs, 1 bellona and a connie with a group of 6 bellonas sure sounds like a giant pair of balls to me. Surrendering all your ships does not. At least Russia and US fought back. Spain has had the best of both worlds for a long time now. Allies with over half the server yet never helped them. Let the US loose every port on the coast without lifting a finger. Same with Russian ports. You watched 2 of your allies loose ports to another ally yet did nothing. Don’t lecture anyone about which side they join. JAGs and 7up decided to fuck with the wrong hombres and now they pay the price. #thanksjags
  15. Seems like not all treaties were cancelled. Russia / Spain / US multi-flip was attempted tonight. Funny how some things change....yet they really don't. "Meet the new boss same as the old boss". France managed to stop the Russians / Spanish, while a lucky pirate fleet just happened across some US missions and we were out for revenge scalps. Props to the ironmen @Graf Bernadotte and @Christoph for getting up and trying.
  16. @Admiral Horatio Homblower Word on the street is a couple Spanish were begging France for peace today. confirm/deny?
  17. Perhaps "guide" is a better way to phrase it. Good MMOs organically push their players outside of capital zones / starting regions and prod them to explore the world. NA has nothing like that.
  18. The issue is not the safe zones. I'd even suggest the zones are not safe enough and new players constantly getting their AI battles jumped is an even bigger reason why so few stick around in the game. The real issue is twofold 1 - We don't have a sustainable population. We have a large map with a lot of areas on the map where you won't see a single player for days. This is a PVP game. You need players to kill. Where are the players? Capitals. If the game had 1000-1500 players on at a time the water would be much more crowded and safe zone ganking would be a suicide mission. Also with more players clans would be competing over more player owned ports and it would naturally spread more players on the map. 2 - Lack of content that forces players out of the zone. Players can pretty much do everything inside the safe zones EXCEPT craft gold and purp ships. Which was a recent change. There are no mechanics or missions that really take them anywhere outside the zones. If you're not an RVR player or a PVPer with outposts on the map you really have no reason to leave. Casuals don't leave the zones - PVPers want to hunt - Lots of players in zones. So TLDR - We need more people and more content.
  19. What happened up at Penz?
  20. And I’m all for allies helping each other but I mean Spain showed up to help Russia at Manataca. A trash port. Same with the French and Ruataan. They didn’t lift a finger to help at other ports or help the US with the entire east coast. US had a PB at Biscanyo this week. 10 mins from Islamorada. No Spanish help. And Russia supposedly cancelled all treaties just recently. Good thing Spain is losing ports for them.
  21. We’ve been at war with KoC for the past year. Nothing new. He just sunk a fleet of ours 3 weeks ago. Shit happens. We’re both just focused on Spain at the moment. We’ll go back to hating each other again soon. You guys managed to piss of both of us at the same, which is impressive.
  22. Lol Spain didn’t help. They were all still Russian then. Graf is still huffing those bath salts
