  1. I’m surprised Hardy sailed out in anything but a requin.
  2. Was it difficult clearing away the ruins of the once great Spanish nation?
  3. some one's gotta do it. I can't be the ONLY #contentcreator around here!
  4. It pains me...but I agree with Jorge!
  5. I mean if you can get beat by a few basic cutters you’re kinda proving their point no? I’m astonished not even 1 was sunk. Troll post was cute and all.
  6. the real question is.....how did you lose a herc to basic cutters?
  7. Frankly if le rekts are allowed in, hercs should be.
  8. Good work! I still see 1 requin on your side. Clearly that was it. #norequinfleets
  9. ^^ Why are alts a problem? Because this game has yet to figure out how to manage resource distribution, crafting and a general economy. Alts are necessary or were necessary because of things like labor hours, fine woods and only certain woods being ideal for PBs and being poorly distributed on the map.
  10. There needs to be some sort of organic traffic in and out of the zones. Coast lines need to be busy and escorting or raiding should be a thing. Low level goods generated inside to be sold outside and high level goods outside to be sold inside is a good start.
  11. That feeling when Spanish and Prussian clans pay you to keep ports you took from them open.
  12. Zzzzzz. Clever at memes you are not young Padawan
  13. Interesting suggestion. Have all capital ports consume (I assume they already do) to create a nice steady flow of traders into and out of the zones (make sure tow to capitals is removed though) and have all player owned ports generate some sort of trade good relative to their BR importance. Introduce a low level good that spawns in safe zone NPC ports that can be consumed in various player owned ports to create an opportunity for new traders to branch out in to the real world.
  14. I’m on board
  15. In theory our current method of boarding is period accurate in a sense. You need to get your opponent slow enough to grapple and then secure them to your ship. You can disengage (cut the grapples) after X amount of turns. The ramming bit is a little sketchy, I'll give you that. Realistically if you were to fight as close to each other as ships in this game do, majority of the actions would of turned into boarding fests. There's only so much realism you can interject into a game and have it still be playable.
  16. Saturday night x2. We cried after we won technically.
  17. When was the last time 7up won a Pb?
  18. Outlaw battles + Unique perks
  19. Sure, but let them enter port should they want to leave.
  20. Go re-read one of the previous tribunals. Admin mentioned being tagged multiple times over and over MIGHT be considered griefing. As for the other stuff I merely am mentioning griefing in the broad sense of the word.
  21. Griefing is in the eye of the beholder. Some might think ganking noobs qualifies, but that would just be life in the NFL (NA PVP server). I'll give you some examples of what I would classify griefing as. Generally it would be abusing allowable game mechanics. - joining an allies hostility mission and taking up slots that would normally go to the defenders (you can only have a max of 10) and removing their ability to defend. - joining a patrol mission with no intent to fight and just shooting sails and kiting away (this was kinda fixed however) - allies tagging each other on the OW and physically blocking enemy ships from joining or ramming friendly ships in battle to help your friends on the inside - using alts to tag in other players or lure players out of zones (partially been fixed). - tagging an opponent over and over again despite having no chance to catch them inside the battle. more than say 3x is a bit much. This list could be endless, but it's subjective. Which is why we have a tribunal forum where we sometimes (but not often) sort things out (only ex-SORRY members get punished though). The incident in which you are talking about basically involved Spain joining a hostility mission of an ally and taking up most of their slots so the defenders would not have been able to stop them inside the mission. Why is this different than joining up on the OW and screening out the defenders together? Well because it removes the defenders ability to choose how to respond. If my fleet goes out and gets ganked by Russians and Spain, that sucks but shit happens. Spain joining that mission and abusing game mechanics that are otherwise allowed restricted the pirates in this case, from being able to determine how they want to play. This is griefing. It's also could be against steam EULA if you want to get technical. While it seems that everyone BUT @admin is aware of the bullshit "mistake" that happened in them joining, it was deemed an unfortunate mishap and nothing will be done.....until next time.
  22. I’m ok with the battle being open for 15 mins. I’m not ok with not being able to enter the port until all players leave the battle instance. I should be able to leave battle and sail directly into the port I just fought and won, I shouldn’t be forced to sit in battle and wait 15 mins because 1 player is holding port entry hostage so his buddies can gank ships outside. This is poor mechanics. It keeps happening and needs to be fixed. Make the battle end after 5 mins and force players to a battle screen or something (maybe a detailed after action report?).
  23. ya know now that I'm thinking about this a bit more. I hope nothing happens. ' Pirates will then start selling their services to go sit in hostility missions with fast frigates or maybe bellonas and take up the opposing side's slots. We'll be sure to F11 it every time though of course. @Batman having problems grinding up little cayman? Let us know, we'll come help out. Maybe WO would like to grind up Batabano without having to fight all of Spain. This could be very profitable.
  24. I've jumped other nation's hostility missions with you personally......
