  1. Please bring me up on tribunal in a separate post if you so desire as I directed you to a couple of months ago. In the aforementioned screening fight I was merely fighting French players, successfully might I add, on 2 characters in the same battle that did not involve Spanish players as we were screened out from attacking a Russian port. One cannot expect pirate players to know the intricacies of Spanish politics and who their allies are or are not. Spain showed up to a port battle that did not involve them. We saw a French fleet ahead of us and attacked. The 3 Spanish players outside were not our concern nor was their involvement necessary. You also were still able to join the battle, just on the pirate side. So either tribunal me or don’t. It does not forgive your transgressions above. ------------ This tribunal is about you guys denying slots to a defending nation in a hostility mission by joining your allies side and restricting our ability to get more guns to bear on the enemy. Portillo was directly flipped due to your unfair preventative actions and we would like clarification as to if what you did was legal or not. Per @admin in a previous tribunal thread, below is against Steam EULA. "Restrict or inhibit any other user from using and enjoying Steam services, software or other content. https://store.steampowered.com/online_conduct/" These Spanish players directly restricted pirates from joining their defending side of a hostility mission by blocking available slots in the battle.
  2. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the order in which they joined listed on the tab screen in descending order. This would backup Cheeky's claim that Christoph, Graf and then Tiedemann joined and contradict Graf's claim that Teide messed up? Pirates were unable to counter Russian hostility as a result of this move. Spain directly blocking pirates players from defending their port and restricting their gameplay experience from taking up slots with no intention of fighting the opposing side is no bueno I would think huh @admin? I guess without JAGs around 7up's standards seem to have dropped a bit.
  3. If only clans could control who sets contracts up in the ports that they pay for.....
  4. Yes? This was kinda tried with NA Legends. It failed. There is a myth in this game that folks want fair fights and challenges. It's only a myth. Wolves don't want to fight other wolves, sheep are more fun. Which is why I'm always astonished when they actively lobby against protections that would keep more sheep in the game and make them happier. It's kinda like cutting off your own food supply really. Happy sheep....happy wolves. People are stupid.
  5. Uh ... what? No battle can stay open, I just want the stupid glitch where the port won’t allow the winners inside until everyone is out of battle fixed. Seems rather stupid.
  6. I'm merely trying to get clarification and hopefully get some issues that are long overdue changed. I don't care about a couple niagra deaths outside the battle. Hopefully @admin can provide some insight here. Thanks boys!
  7. So this subject is a bit of a grey area in the game I think. After we won the PB player stayed in the battle for the full duration with the intention of of giefing the players inside and either forcing them to wait or be tagged by the 10-15 players of his nation and other nations outside since we are unable to enter the port while players are still in the battle. I had referenced this in another post below, but there was never a definitive ruling on the issue. I believe intentional griefing....and Elite was intentionally doing it could classify as a tribunal offense. This wouldn't of been a huge issue if we had not been so beat up and he wasn't in a boarding requin with close to 400 crew....we would of just sunk him. I don't particularly care if the player is punished or not here, but I do think we need to remove the broken mechanic of contested ports being closed to the winners if players till remain in battle. Clearly he was aware of what was going on. https://gyazo.com/edfac570016cc5acef9a60fe88c03ee5 The mass of battles/players waiting for us outside Stream of the fight - battle ends at 1:30 Shitty way to end a rather fun battle. Clearly Elite was bitter here or something. Regardless of whether or not this is a tribunal offense, the port lock out while contested bit is long overdue for a change.
  8. We're kinda lazy at the moment. I feel like RVR comes in waves a bit. Sometimes you feel like doing it for a couple weeks straight....other times it's just REALLY hard to go motivate yourself and others to go sink bots for 2 hours. I've also been enjoying not going to bed late and actually not feeling like total crap when I gotta get up at 6am. So there's that...
  9. While I'd probably be annoyed as hell about it, having a port battle be cancelled because the storms inside are too strong to fight in sounds really f'n cool. The battles with weather effects in them pre-steam Clicking swords in general for missions / pbs / battles is annoying and needs to be changed.
  10. I am also having connection issues. SWFL. Connected myself and @William Death up to my VPN and the issues are resolved. Most be a hosting issue for the server.
  11. Change #1 to "A Hunter looking for content". If you're on the water, you're content.
  12. Your nickname was KoC’s greatest contribution to NA
  13. The thing about the clan based system is it needs to be one or the other. Right now we still have nations and national ports, but PBs are locked out unless you are with or on that particular clan's ally list....making PBs and the like a clique system. As you've seen in the US nation it's a bit chaotic with various clans disliking others. Now multiply that and you've got GB nation. We currently have a mix of clan based and nation based system and it just isn't running well enough. To keep in the theme of tittybaby's post here, I would recommend either switching entirely to a clan based system and having only a handful of nations be a race backdrop OR drop the clan owned / BR PB system and focus back on the nation port system. Less nations would also be ideal.
  14. Actually if you read my post I merely mentioned you are not perpetuating the same farce you've been peddling for months on the forums about how the merge killed the game. So kudos. Back in the old system there were consistently more full battles daily. This was also in the alliance system AND other nations could pool players. We are currently in a situation where we are half in/half out of clan based system. We either need to ditch the nation idea or ditch the BR/clan based idea. The combination of both is not working. You mention Prussia, but it seems by all accounts they shouldn't even exist in this game. You could repeat your successes elsewhere inside one of the other nations and have similar results in this system, since you could operate all your battles within your own little group.
  15. Mythical super clan guys don't exist on the east coast, where you were caught farming marks. 14knt ships downwind are usually enough to get you out of most situations. A half assed discussion where you say you admit farming your alts but then blame it on super gank fleets and a poor system is not a good thread to help improve the game. I previously wrote up my lengths to solo PVP. It's possible and in most cases preferable to appropriately safe zone gank. If you read the actual tribunal post I detailed why I ended up not following your pirate alt. Also a pirate frigate and a wasa look nothing alike. lol --------------- All I see here are excuses why you can't generate your marks legitimately. To use a line from the great @King of Crowns, Sucks to suck. You are unwilling to listen to advice, which makes you a waste of time. God bless ROVERs if they keep you around. toodles
  16. Surprised you didn’t pull out your bit about how the merge killed the game. Perhaps you’ve seen the light and realized that this game will never retain numbers until it protects its new players and provides dynamic content for its veteran players that isn’t stale. Games such as this rise and fall based on how entertained it’s casual players are and NA has sorely neglected them for 2 years. One opinion I’ve changed on lately is that BR based battles are no longer good for the health of the game. PBS are no longer national efforts in most cases with the average battle only needing 10 people. Prior to the wipe and BR system it would be common to have battles involving 100 people in a area daily. Now...not so much. the shift to more clan based fights would be fine if we ditched nations for a clan based game, but we have yet to do that. Now we have 10-15 people going into ports designed for 25 and a whole lot of screeners and ancillary people that used to be involved aren’t anymore. Seems like a shame.
  17. Laugh The sailing profile of the Reno vs the LGV refit will make you slower on the OW. Just an FYI. Like if you were to put a lynx in fleet. You obviously aren’t getting any kills with your LGV and fleet ships, so enjoy running I guess. Meanwhile I’ll continue to achieve better results with my methods without farming. I quite frankly don’t care what you do. Continue to exhibit the aforementioned US player mindset I just described. Don’t improve. You’ve been given good suggestions by several players here. Don’t learn from them, keep doing what you do. I / We are not the ones that got caught alt farming and then made a post trying to justify why we do it because of gank fleets and ship costs. Fact of the matter is you are unable to get your marks one way and had to resort to a different method. Adapt or don’t, I don’t care. If ROVER hasn’t already kicked you maybe they can beat sense into you. We’re done here. Best of luck
  18. If you are sailing fleet Reno’s with a LGV refit as your main ship you fundamentally do not understand wind profiles. Which explains why you rely on them. And probably farming marks. Ditch the fleet, get better perks and learn the ropes. PVP marks are incredibly easy to get. ROVER does not strike me as a clan with a ship line that pumps out stuff for its members nor do they need to be. Join a different one if you want that luxury. Also the DLC ships are perfect for solo players in your predicament. This mindset that you don’t have the resources to expend on ships to lose them without worry clashes with your clan choices and when you were in the US, your desire to do your own thing. That mindset is the primary reason why the US is such easy prey and will never get their act together. The refusal to join larger clans and organize ship lines just flat out astonished me while in the US. Even yesterday as we were sinking US players on the way to a shallow battle a couple were in oak/oak rattlers. Here in VCO we can maybe field 15 on a good day calling in the banners and forcing our dutchies to stay up late. Maybe 3/4 out of those 15 handle the Econ side of things and we give out refits/mods/ships to everyone in the clan. The amount of effort it took to farm that alt is about as much energy we expend outside of hauling to make crafting work. It’s just laziness.
  19. As long as there is a marks system that has exclusive items folks will abuse it. I am not a fan of any marks tbh. AI fleet will not teach you how to escape or how to solo players. They are a crutch that will slow you down on the OW. Ditch them if you want to get better. Or don’t. Im not the one who got caught farming 8 pvp marks. Majority of my kills comes from solo pvp action. As a solo guy you will never top the leaderboards unless you’ve been extremely fortunate, but I do alright with close to 700 marks, lodesman and combat carps books. I gave up caring about how many I get pet kill a long time ago and just enjoy the hunt/chase. You need to be smart, pick your battles and your escapes. Sometimes you get caught. 2 weeks ago I lose my pre DLC herc with copper and naval clock and a pretty good pirate frigate. I lose requins all the time from getting just a little too bold. Majority of the pleasure I get from solo pvp these days is just how much can I get away with in a battle. Sometimes you get caught. The beauty of the DLC ships is you can just stamp out another and get back on the water. I absolutely love being able to just say hello kitty it and go after targets id be a little too wary to hit in a non DLC ship. Anorher good area is key west to Havana. Stop at our gift shop while you’re over that way. If you want to get better I would suggest listening to some of the tips on here. Or get better at alt farming.
  20. In the very same area where I saw you farming is one of the easiest places to accrue PvP marks. It just takes a little bit of effort and the willingness to lose ships. As a former US player you should know the gaps we’ll enough. If I solo PvP I take a herc or requin so I can jump players in the safe zone or gank in their missions and most importantly get out fast. Go out and solo a bit in something that can go 14knts. Most importantly, ditch the fleet ships. They are a crutch and will not make you a better pvper. Every time I see you on the water you have 2 ships in fleet. Going out in a larger group will also not make you a better pvper either.
  21. I’d be happy to be wrong. I don’t think I am.
  22. No one sails renos. Almost everyone I’ve sunk or capped has been store bought. Same with a frigate.
  23. Saw a curious sight outside Saint Mary's this evening. An unknown pirate in an unknown clan sailing out towards a Prussian LGV refit just barely visible. Pirate was what looked like a store bought reno and was sailing north towards Brunswick. I attempted to follow but a clan mate was tagged outside port and I doubled back, so I only have speculation and no definitive proof. name on the reno sailing out A couple minutes later...... and he's Prussian too..... https://gyazo.com/1e975845caa07577488c2a860350d6ff I feel like the names and the circumstances are just a little too convenient. I most certainly could be wrong, though I doubt it. Worth a look I think. @Hethwill the Harmless hopefully the ROVER minds sort this out 🙂 @Ink
  24. No one showed at isla except the pirates. zero in on each side. was weird.
  25. It amuses me that people think this is a bad idea, though I'm not surprised. If you want to grow the game and keep newer players around so they become vets, this is how you do it. Most MMO games that actually have player bases implement some sort of new player protections so they can grind up in peace and figure out the ropes. Naval Action does not and that kind of explains how you sell 120k copies and not 2 years later your 2 servers barely crack a combined 600 population online at once. People want to grind, PVE and do carebear stuff in peace without having to constantly get ganked by a bored population of PVP vets. A PVP server merely implies that PVP is an option and players can be killed. It does not mean they need to be subjected to constant slaughter 30seconds outside of capital and new player zones. Change nothing and NA will continue to sputter along until the goodwill of returning players is exhausted and it finally dies. The current status quo is not good.
