  1. good you posted this - we wanted write on Mac topic as well. mac build is ready and is already on steam but closed.. we are fixing retina UI issues.. (too small) those without retina would be able to play once we open it up.
  2. а где вы там лица то разглядели))
  3. Hey Dreww Los and elevations are being worked on.. some changes will be provided to the current system within 2 weeks (after we roll out groups control this week)
  4. a bit too early.. we plan to separate forum software from ultimate general forums - so we can have our own unique functionality. There we will be able to better server clans and guilds by providing the ability to show off player clan, guild or company in the name tag.
  5. right now 1 save only. we know it is a critical issue and it will be resolved asap. there will be unlimited campaign saves initially (1 save per campaign)
  6. we monitor both with same dedication. We are and will be more active during feedback collection stage and right after patches. Currently we are testing group functionality that will be pushed on steam beginning next week - so spend more time working and less talking.
  7. Hey mate. sorry Well officially no support. But we tested on XP on a virtual machine and it was working fine.
  8. thanks.. will change
  9. Will do more of course. We are rolling out a optimization patch this week - there were basically no news because of that
  10. we had boats on deck (even asked players about them) but everyone said that boats were never on deck in combat
  11. currently there is only one speed. we have received a lot of requests from players that speed should be slower.. we will experiment next week internally.
  12. working on it
  13. thanks for suggestions.. we will discuss this internally and try to test
  14. yes this functionality will be added for tablets
  15. Thank you Jefraider!
  16. Well. We know for sure that majority of players will want to go Britain or become Pirates. This is a given. Pirates issue is solved easily by the mechanics we already discussed in several Piracy topics. Controlling country numbers is not as easy. There are basically 3 options 1) Focus on player guilds and companies, ignoring countries, that will only provide limited content (research, blueprints, buildings in ports and trading etc). 2) Provide welfare 3) Hard lock. You can be a British National - but Royal Navy is not accepting any more applications.
  18. To your opinion what would be the alternative to that?
  19. it will start from 1 server in germany (most likely) if the demand is high it will be expanded. But too early to tell.
  20. Still wandering.. Getting really lost - and asking.. "Shit where am i?" is it a good feeling? or bad? ps you dont need to create a hardcore navigation system for that. It can be achieved by Not having a map at all. Or not showing your accurate position and/or bearing, will make fast accurate travel harder. Not naming towns on the open map, that will make you go actually go into port and ask - what town is that in local - if you don't know that language you will hear gibberish. Directions would sound different also - instead of go to Port of Spain on Trinidad from Gibraltar - will be go follow africa coast find Dakar first, then track west to cape verde - fill as much water and food as you can there and then follow the winds to the coast of brazil and then use the coast untill you see the big rock and then turn north. The second town on the coast should be port of spain. Not sure how usefull it is though
  21. On maps We are very conflicted about this. It sounds awesome in theory. But we know people want to have fun - imagine getting lost without enough food and water for crew, with a cargo of spanish gold that you bought using your last savings. I envision a lot of angry item return bug reports. Maybe having hardcore server and casual server could be a solution.
  22. That is a mistake that many developers make. Great movie writers are ALSO great historians. while great historians are often not good entertaining writers.
  23. конкретизируйте плиз)) что значит полезный скирмиш..
  24. Interactive scriptwriting is very hard. Such people are rare and already are making their own games or work in movies. Recreating an interesting depiction of Nelson's life would be possible if we can dish out 300/500k for 2-3 writers from HBO. That could be possible in the future if the game is successful.
