  1. To me it looks like (regarding first post) both parties were charging each other. Both just had bad wind to reach each other and distance was huge. But in order to minimize such incidents we could Ofc ask that access to basic cutters is not possible when tp is possible and player has other ships.
  2. During the last portbattle my ship got damaged by enemies. After I boarded one of them I switched ships and gave sink command to my old ship. Then I could loot doubloons. Around 38:00
  3. When you were downwind to him both parties had bad wind to reach each other. Any schooner would have had the same battle result even a requin. By the way basic cutter can't join when the battle started as pvp battle.
  4. In my opinion endless repairs are fine as long dmg, dmg adsorption (thickness, hp, penetration) and repair amount match each other. Aka mirror match. Problems start to occur when one gets favored to much. Fighting at range. -> thickness increase resulting in less dmg favoring repairs. Fighting ships outside your ship rate -> dmg absorption + repair amount overweight dmg Sometimes woods+mods+ books create a mismatch against stock ships. When someone needs 15mins to demast should the game throw him a bone a la you did well now pick up your reward? Or should the game push him to maybe improve his stills and do it in 5mins to enjoy his accomplishment for 10mins? As I said I'm totally fine with the repair system. It promotes action. While limited repair just favours the most cowardly player.

  8. You cant gank in NAL. Short join timers only hurt players that hunt active battles + port/loginscreen camper/trapper There is no difference for people that stay/sail together - tag together. The only valid claim I see would be " Make tagging better" Distance to outposts+ spotting range and closing in speed (in order to tag) are a missmatch. At some areas its impossible to get players into fights because the distance to the next outpost is so short that by the time from spotting to get in range they alreeady vanished into the next port.

  12. If player would want that they could do it already. But player don't want it in OW. OW means freedom of choice. Player choice is to avoid. Even in RvR they avoid due to diplo and alliances.
  13. Pls read. Only "welcome to Caribbean" is mandatory and required to unlock missions. It has nothing to do with pvp. The pvp achievement is an advanced task.
  14. During the welcome task you have to capture a trader sell stuff repair. Many of them can be done on the way to LT. Maybe change location of selling goods to any town instead capital. So it's more of a flow.
  15. I guess that will be the most controversial requirement. In the one hand a clan makes everything much easier (access to ships, missions etc) but in the other hand there are a lot of people that see a clan as punishment. But clans are essential for teaching and and allow a much better time distribution towards all kind of activities. The welcome task look all very good and show all kind of basic skills that are needed. Capture/ repair etc can all be done on the way to establish an outpost at LT. (So I don't know why some call sailing to LT boring. It's only boring because you want it to be boring) A few additional activities on that route could be fishing maybe a one time 100% chance to catch a bottle and a task to sell the fish at LT and capture a trader and loot the wreck.
  16. Personally I don't have much time to play NA (currently). But I have to say the game is much more enjoyable than during the last build even my time in NA is very limited. - Player spottings per h are much higher than ever before. - taken actions feel like they have a meaning. - it's the closest real age of sail experience NA ever delivered. For all with limited time Bahamas is the best place to be. So many different nations/players/ais. Perfect place for a fast enjoyable experience.
  17. Bringing and escorting a prize back home can be fun tho. But Ofc not if a route far away of everything is taken in order to avoid all fights 😉
  18. Don't sail in a basic cutter maybe? @admin make basic cutters only available to sail when the char owns no other ship.
  19. Like aster said. As soon you redeem them the next char (after deleting the first one) won't be able to redeem the doubloons again. It's Steam acc tied.
  20. Teleport fee depends on rank. Low lvl player don't pay 10 doubloons....
  21. what about to make it like surrender if in tag circle its not possible if outside it is. So make it a decision.
  22. People dont seem to be aware that this is not a SP game right? Guess Nelson would have been raped at toulon as well when alone.
