You may need to try different drivers. When something like this happens, it's most often a conflict between the drivers and hardware.

[PvP1] Spain Defence against USA agression
Henry d'Esterre Darby replied to Celtiberofrog's topic in National news
I've warned in the past for this kind of talk, don't make me start warning again. All servers are available for all players, regardless of time zone. Insisting that players play on a particular server is out of line. Move on please. Server locations are provided as a service, they in no way indicate who is allowed on what server. Thank you. -

The Wikia site is the old Wiki which was also run by Olav. The other one, who knows! -
Sailing model goofs
Henry d'Esterre Darby replied to Impalor's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
Quite a few of us have real world sailing experience. A few even have real world square rig experience in historical vessels. Bungee has addressed quite a few of your concerns correctly. I'll add that fore/aft rig performance is definitely not great, however, adjustments to that sailing model haven't come to the top of the list yet. Thank you for your feedback. -
Sir, please don't post your UserID here. I'm not sure if it is important or not, but it's best not to show these things. Just in case something can be done, please post the exact name of your character - is it Sotileza? Thanks.

Forum Suggestion
Henry d'Esterre Darby replied to Blkmgc's topic in Forum and website problems and improvements
You would assume wrong. -
The general consensus when this was discussed is that "lighting" a fireship as you've described here is ok, so long as the fireship Captain is ok with it. Once again, be careful that the automated damage systems don't get you though. Repeat instances of non-consensual green on green damage should be reported with screenshots in Tribunal. Those making a habit of shooting greens without permission will be demoted.

Logging from post battle screen
Henry d'Esterre Darby replied to Bulwyf's topic in Tribunal - Трибунал
None of this is tribunal material. Please discuss your issues in existing threads. Thank you. -
This behavior is no longer allowed. If it happens in the future, please open a new Tribunal. ---------- Такое поведение больше не допускается. Если это произойдет в будущем, пожалуйста, откройте новый трибунал. Извините за плохой перевод.

This activity is no longer permitted. From now on, players who purchase flags with the sole intent of blocking others from attempting to capture a port risk losing their XP and Assets. If you are not buying a flag to decoy as part of another attack, or to make an attempt to capture a port yourself, you are in the wrong. Please continue to report these activities going forward in Tribunal.

Your connection "speed" is useless for this conversation. It doesn't tell us what we need to know. Please download PingPlotter - run a plot against 89.163.234.93 for a minute or two, and then post a screenshot of the results.

I will add that "Tester" is simply a forum title. It indicates someone who has played the game for a while, and has contributed quite a bit of good feedback and/or bug reports. Testers use the same version of the game client as everyone else and have the same ships and equipment/mods as everyone else. Encountering someone with the Tester title can be a very bad day at times - many of them know the game inside and out from their plentiful experience playing it. They do not, however, have any special powers or ships.

Could you please be more specific about the particular problems you're having?

This just started happening to me, HELP
Henry d'Esterre Darby replied to SheepDip's topic in Support
This sounds to me more like a potential problem with your local network or computer than with the game. What happens when you try to play on a connection that is not at your house? -
Treasure Fleet Events
Henry d'Esterre Darby replied to pugtm's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
I'm going to leave this, despite it being a direct violation of the rules regarding discussion of moderation. We remove posts that have no merit whatsoever. "This game sucks, I'm leaving" is basically worthless feedback, adds nothing to the discussion, and doesn't really help to advance development of the game. People don't need to announce that they're leaving - increase/decrease of hours played is tracked in Steam and is something the developers see as part of their evaluation. We don't ban people for dissenting. You can't throw a rock on this forum without finding someone being critical of this feature or that feature, and that same rock will often bounce off and hit a response by Admin. Often, the dissent is directly addressing a request for feedback by Admin himself. Those people are all still here, still posting. Admin has responded repeatedly to posts of this nature, making another one isn't really constructive. The ebb and flow of users is normal while the game is in development. If you're bored right now, take a break and come back. You're not paying monthly, and if you played hundreds of hours for $30, I'd say you got your money's worth. Name me anything else in life where you can keep busy for such a low cost per hour. And, you can always come right back when new features are released or changes are made that restore your interest in the game. That said, you're right, nonconstructive ranting and feedback will indeed be removed. It serves absolutely no purpose. I'll leave Admin's response to a very similar topic here: If you'd like to make a suggestion for an improvement to the game, you can do so without the histrionics - simply state that you think it would be fun if XXX was implemented in the game. Tying it to a "people are leaving" message is pointless. Going forward, this topic is about the idea the OP is requesting. Discussion of why people are leaving, etc. is off topic. Thank you. -

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels - PvP1 EU Scammer
Henry d'Esterre Darby replied to Spam Hands's topic in National news
After a bit of thought, I've decided to move this to National News. The Economy forum is for development feedback, not for talking about individuals on a particular server (similarly, other than one particular stickied thread, we tend to close and hide posts asking to buy/sell items in that forum for the same reason). If you want to decry a villain, do so in National News! A great place to advertise scoundrels and their poor behavior. -

Using Battle Timer To Grieve Capturing Force
Henry d'Esterre Darby replied to LTCjRet's topic in Tribunal - Трибунал
Currently, this is not considered a violation of the rules. There are some ideas that are currently being considered for a future release that will prevent this from happening, but for now, this behavior is not considered a violation. If you still want to leave without waiting out the timer, and don't want to allow the enemy to retake their ship, sinking a friendly captured vessel to deny it to the enemy is ok. Case dismissed.
