Absurdides, at the moment the problem is potential for abuse and a lot of manual work to do so - which slows the development during early access. During alpha we are planning to give ships for early testing to users with certain conditions. Captains who do not want to miss such events should subscribe to developer news section.

Please, provide more info, are you able to launch the game and create the character or it does crash on launching the game? What is your GPU, CPU and OS (32/64)?

Captain, the main reason for Client.exe crash is GPU - unfortunately, you need to buy a new GPU to be able to run Naval Action, since Nvidia Geforce 9800 GTX does not support DirectX 11 and Shader Model 5, but even with the new GPU you might experience low perfomance due to a bit outdated CPU.

Captain, sorry to hear about the loss, but unfortunately, reimbursement due to misclick is not likely to happen, User Interface will be improved at the later stages to prevent such cases. Please, also check this thread. I hope some players in your nation chat will be willing to help you to recover

1. Go to \SteamApps\common\Naval Action 2. Right click on Client.exe file and select Properties 3. Select the Compatibility tab, then check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" 4. Select Windows 7 and hit apply

The problem is not in reimbursements itself - we will gladly recover the items if it was our fault. The problem is potential for abuse and a lot of manual work to do so - which slows the development during early access. We are in the process to figure out the official position and efficient process to do so. Please hold on.

Captains, we are working hard to change the work schedules for our team and change the port battle code to make it happen. Most likely this will happen in the big content patch. but could be delayed. In both cases it WILL happen - Australian prime time will be taken into account in the maintenance patching

Captain, If you asked it because you didn't close the client since maintenance time and now see "Update" in the server list, just close the game and run it again in Steam, update will be done automatically and you will be able to play again.

Captain, there might be some changes in settings on the server side in the future but they require careful execution since they might ruin other people's connection and it is impossible to apply it locally to your account only. By the way, you did not mention it, but have you tried to turn off windows firewall?
