Interesting enough the Prince is cheaper than many airplane and tanks of similar scales. Guess the absence of engine and combined servos makes up for it. Great share.

The testing provided us with unlimited and devalued assets. Gold is so abundant it completely inflates the economy. I would vouch for a rank keeping, sure why not, but without a asset wipte there is little point in re-addressing all that is yet to come. Regarding the merge, as I said before, not considering technical issues on the devs side and datacenter considerations, I wouldn't mind being fused into PvP2 from PvP1. I think it would be okay with all, EU, US and Asia/Oceania folks.

Player established contracts opens way to rig the system somehow, don't really like it. But I would enjoy a similar system to E:D in which the bounty is established by the action, the ship value and the cargo value and is actually used by pirates and opposing captains as bragging rights and, when they are destroyed, bragging rights for the hunt.

suggestion for Port attack
Hethwill, the Red Duke replied to Celtiberofrog's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
Flag will be obsolete in the upcoming month(s). Let's forget about them. The timers idea is okay'ish if it is thought of in triple, so each port has 3 windows of 2 hours. Why ? To accommodate as best as we can all ports to all timezones. Lord of the Port choses timer and automatically a +12 / -6 timer is also added ( as best as maintenance allows ) Do not force EU into a worldwide community please. -
True, them upgrades/perks should be interesting enough to use but not battle changing. I think there is a misconception about trade raiding but then if a pirate does what a pirate should be doing you say it takes no skill. Sure granted, finding prey, pursuit, work him out to surrender or boarding, and then get back with the prize to the free port, all behind enemy lines, that's where I find my fun. Most of the time solo and engaging much bigger vessels. I stick with schooners. Less crew to worry about, more loot per man.

Wall of Polls?
Hethwill, the Red Duke replied to CaptVonGunn's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
It registers a vote as a new reply. -
I would like to say "awesome!" but I find all these novelties of magic-without-effort, ...sailing your ship, planning your route, socializing and hiring buddies for escort..., a interference with the original spirit of NA as a skill game with demanding simulator level combat. ( mind you for traders and war captains alike )

I am not only looking to PBs sorry but the whole spectrum of playstyles. Conquest seems very much one sides for some reason. Question: Do clans have accurate numbers of members. Should be nice to have a breakdown of players per nation as provided by the clans

I disagree with split servers as much as I loathe national focus communities. It is the "global village", we play with folks from all over and there are people everywhere that work in shifts. I personally like One place, One community, One world.

First Impressions

Ah ! Great that you made a change. Wind strength is constant. Yes, having wind direction information in town could be very useful -
XP penalty
Hethwill, the Red Duke replied to Jerome's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
PvP is 2x, that's the flat indicator. It is a good indicator of how pvp relates to pve, which we going to ignore for the moment being. In a battle with same BR, rewards are the flat value; work from there in a linear fashion regarding BR to a minimum of 0.1x the flat indicator and maximum of 1.9x the pvp flat indicator. Given the 8x BR gives a immediate escape IIRC we might not see the extremes presented unless players so wish it. -
Too many people with too much free time in their fingertips, or is it the other way around... huh...hur hur hur...

XP penalty
Hethwill, the Red Duke replied to Jerome's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
XP / PRize penalties should ACTUALLY be introduced for BR differences in PvP. From -90% to 190%, respectively 9:1 to 1:9 odds. -
Flexible crafting notes
Hethwill, the Red Duke replied to Hugh Latham's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
Yes, I agree with you there but unless they are "created" with specifics for a model we can use them in any ship / equipment. If they get fixed to a single model "plans plus detailed notes" it could become worse and over complicate things ? The system is not that bad, it is simple and not easy going. -
Flag Ships
Hethwill, the Red Duke replied to Fletch's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
That's exactly why it is wrong and why it is wrong to keep in that path. No. No. No. More involvement of the captains needed in using the ships correctly not this mumbo jumbo. -
The Ports we have are beefed up compared to historical counterparts. 70% of the settlements didn't go above 600 souls, hardly any labour for plantations and farms and commerce let alone for your shipyards. If anything I'd work from the opposite. Regional Capitals established and the rest had to be developed by player actions, but I bet no one wants to play "menial tasks" just to evolve a town.
