Slow Down Battle

Unrelated ( of sorts ) but going through the Tall Ships privateer Lynx video they were catching a 36 knots wind and the lady was running at about 9 knots at their best point of sail. -

Damn... some of the patterns weren't meant for the big girls for sure. That Rouge surely will look wicked great on a Cherubim and Surprise -
Slow Down Battle

IMO Morale, especially consecutive morale shocks should affect the crews abilities to the ( historical ) point where one of the ships is in clear superiority and her adversary sees the hopelessness and strikes colours. As it is it is a great combat, without wind strengths etc - all ships see wind as it would be the best wind strength - but having crew "will to fight" funneled only to the Boarding option might be reducing some of the age of sail combat options . -

I approve on the removal of quirks and perks proposed by Kanay. -
First and foremost I wish to humbly apologize for the most vile and knave-like mistake in naming S.L.RN They are indeed SEA LORDS and not sea lions...

Remove Quirk-Perks

I don't mind players escorting and forcing the BR. I truly mind the bots. Am I wrong in trying to force be-Social sail-together down the playstyle line ? And trading was way less hassle than trade raid. Half a dozen clicks, Sail, pray for good weather and protection from raiders. I am happy that players will be able to have their trader bots but bear with me... no tp of ships. Balance is achieved at a human player level and not by resorting to adding artificial intelligence to fill the gaps. A Lynx trader with 2 trinc bot in tow, can't be nailed by a similar rate. It has a invulnerability. I would think no players in trincs would even escort a trader lynx BUT I am sure they will escort a Indiaman ( seen it a few times already ). Big difference. Players will help someone according to the importance and chances of not making the journey. And by the way, raiding is a big hassle, it is just way more fun, to many players, than acting age of sail trucker. -

Equalize the 10br traders to the war versions for that purpose. -
That's what the regions and hostility levels will show, i am very sure of that.

There is a massive imbalance between nation populations. It is not a wrong perception. I go to all nations regularly, raiding them at different times, different days and I see way more dutch and brit players average than swedes and US for example. I see more Spanish than US. The two top are the Brits and the Dutch. And i'm not only talking about territorial waters but also counting the far away raiding parties, like the brits operation from Plymouth regularly.

Not saying I agree or not, was just pointing out the attrition mechanics behind population balance. A large population nation can zerg and work of hostility levels in multiple regions while a smaller one has to focus more. A larger nation has large player reserves while a smaller one has more crew reserves. There's a lot of similar mechanics in asymmetrical wargames, especially regarding guerrilla warfare.

Control needs to be a mechanic and changed to separation speed difference if possible to code in. Fleets can stay...ok...ffs.... but 2 things to level the gameplay between the #nofleets and the #yesfleets crews: 1. Fleet BR is not counted ( remove invulnerability bubble ) 2. Fleet combined cannot exceed player ship BR ( no absurd setups ) -
Doesn't work like that. The allowance is calculate per player basis. So any player can't take more than its due and every single captain in a nation would have the same amount.
