  1. I'm happy that release happens in the way the Devs want it. Wipe or no wipe, we all voiced our opinions. They are the designers. Not us. It is coming. Finally.
  2. Rampant feelings and "must write something" urge... Despite whatever, and with the release 2 weeks aways, it is no longer a matter of "concern" anymore, but, as with many other games ( if you play plenty of EA and do a lot of testing with other games developers ), acceptance that everything will be wiped in the PvP "arena". Is that simple really.
  3. Grind is a moot discussion, as it relates to how a individual approaches the game world, some folk enjoy the game without grinding, so let's not project our own expectations to everyone else experience, but we all have amounts of knowledge on how the game works. That is undeniable. That being said, 2 weeks to release. That's a breeze.
  4. Admin, while i might understand why the team decided this I must word myself against it. Years of testing and early access created numerous inactive clans.
  5. ... as much as IT IS ALSO ENCOURAGED calling your friends to come into the area and enter the battle. multiplayer fun !!!!!!!! ... which is something many have no interest in doing.
  6. 3 Ultimate Admiral Dreadnoughts Ultimate Admiral Age of Sail This Land My Land
  7. Has been a pleasure GameLabs. *snappy salute* Congratulations.
  8. The idea is indeed to reduce enemy capability, so you either sink it or capture it. Sinking it gives you the Kill. You gain "reward" towards the PvP mission and reduce enemy by 1 ship. Capturing it gives you the ship. And reduce enemy by 1 ship. Choices.
  9. Doesn't remove the ship from the world. That's what sinking is about.
  10. A surrender will count as a kill when you sink the enemy ship. Simple. Want the kill or want the ship ? Choices...
  11. You gain all of those with all activities. Missions give all three. OW hunting AI give all three. PvP hunting give all three. OW hunting is, by design, opportunities for you to intercept enemies as much as enemies to intercept you. That's twice the opportunities for everyone.
  12. Missions close automatically. Open world AI hunting nope
  13. Attack more challenging AI ( higher BR than you ) and it will close to enemies after the 2 minutes mark.
  14. Exceptional good natured battle. Closer than the screen allows to think. A privilege to be there and enjoy a proper battle with good atmosphere and commitment from both parts. A good example of how a competitive pvp game can be enjoyed without any hard feelings. ( would rather sail and hunt for Spanish Gold! but we got intercepted by the Brits while sailing Spanish Empire coast )
  15. de Nisa was vice admiral for Jervis. Served both in the Channel fleet and Mediterranean. So yeah.
  16. I don't understand why you quoted me with that question.
  17. Just a couple ideas. Announce the flag when it is created and make duration of flag short. 30 minutes. Creation of flag requisites: - craft-able only at Regional Capital OR unconquerable ports ( non impossible nations ) - whatever resources you thinking of - Flag is automatic created with the Resources + creation of Raid group of 5 players ( mandatory ); flag will be destroyed if group falls lower than 5 ( consider reconnection timer for technical failures ) - Successful raid = raiders occupy the port temporarily ( only for the Raid Group ) and can enter the port ONCE after the raid. After they exit they cannot enter again.
  18. ... or 5 players if they join before battle starts ?
  19. Sail out and attack enemies with big fleets, take their ports, block their waters, etc. They surely will respond with big fleets. Hence larger PvP battles become more frequent.
  20. 1st segment is still at office hours in GMT -or- BST time, second is pretty much dead on late office and dinner/family real estate. damn this round earth
  21. Not only Port Bonus but ALL books and modules bonus, imo. But sure, Port bonus are as well.
  22. Points limits, even the high grade ports with 55 points, do not allow the building of everything - forests, fortresses, shipbuilding improvements, etc. A measure of planning is needed in one region, but yeah, you have a good point in that "war for control of resources" and "war for trade" which was prevalent in the age of sail is now behind us since the last hotfix. With Alliances the objective of parity between teams is clear, but i thought we had moved away from Nations and into Clanwars. I am really confused at this point and wondering if any nation based alliance system comes into play again doesn't make clan based obsolete. Personally I think an Alliance mechanic is not a simple RvR numbers subject but will touch all aspects, including the reason for the existence of clans ( e.g. royal indias companies )
  23. More on "time spent" per individual in said nations than amount of individuals really, I agree.
