  1. Something for you to sing while having that barbecue. Everytime you pass the port you'll be whistling this catchy tune.

  2. Right. Everyone gives away regions for free I guess.
  3. I will disagree. There is a risk. If there's a probability of enemy ships being in the middle of nowhere ( I will vouch for this one twice this week and several others vouched by other players in other nations ), there is a possibility of combat. It might be a 1 in a 100 but as long as the possibility is there it shouldn't be taken off. Not everyone likes to be predictable and players are still, slowly and steady, spreading across the map.
  4. Yes, that is my quirk with a dynamic system as well.
  5. So a mix of both systems would work better Having to be at the port battle -AND- having to do Assists and Kills to be elligible for a "pension for distinguished services" I like it.
  6. The best way to do this is not by specific nation handicaps, like hard caps but dynamically. How ? The only thing that can be dynamic - Resources. Too much population felling trees can deplete a forest very fast. Veins of ore can dry out due to over mining, etc, all with delayed regeneration. Maintaining a empire drains a lot of and needs intelligent application of, resources. It is more than a simple matter of... more outposts when there are no limits.
  7. He wouldn't have escaped a 6th rate or a 7th rate even by entering a mission ( which he kept at hand and was right there in that exact spot... what are the chances huh ). That is my point. Works both ways.
  8. I do wholeheartedly agree with the limitation. Invading the missions - especially with the intent of scavenging for repairs - is indeed a feature. It is already a rakish move but would be completely offhand to do it in cruise frigates. Need to do it ? 7th and 6th rates. Not that the mission maker can do anything about it. On the other hand I think you might be able to invade fleet missions, and those might have ships frigate size. !? ( haven't tested those )
  9. Starting with no XP the progression is natural. Reaching 150 crew rank now and have all necessary ships at 5 slots, meaning the basic, the privateer and the pickle. Onwards to Brig and Mercury given they are the follow ups respectively. Given there's no need for full 5 slots ( most is 3 or 4 ) it would be even faster for anyone that doesn't like the schooners.
  10. If you sent all the stuff you did sent all the stuff. That's it. I am telling everyone this is not National News. It is related to individual players. So no point in bringing game nation rivalries into posts.
  11. Seeing too much of it transpire. Although it may be a specific issue involving two game nations it is NOT specific nation related hence rivalries do not belong here, do not turn a discussion like this one into a National News debate, please Procedure was so far correct and the proof must be conclusive which we will never know except those affected.
  12. Character transfers are in plans post release, not during testing phases, maybe. No mechanic to do that in the near future.
  13. Captured ships are really valuable now and well worth the effort. Finally they are not simply break away toys. As AI poses no real or imaginary threat, it would simply be too easy. . Regarding the PvE server, no idea. Unless AI is agressive on the OW there's little risk involved even on the trade lanes for crafting ships.

  14. @William the Drake Forts do not shoot NPCs @JollyRoger1516 Is there a video of the PB ?
  15. Pretty sure players just sold the "useless" things to the store ( if on pvp server that is ) Interesting to see the 7x profit contracts.
  16. On Global you will need to sail. Don't get this the less positive way, I mean it. Depending on what you want to fight there's always traders criss crossing. On top of that there's mission runners around the "naval bases" that are not even capitals, just focus points of clans. As usual you see hostility being risen and you know there's something going on there. But at the same time that you need to spend some time sailing, patroling, roving and hoping a sail shows up on the horizon, the hordes of captains sallying out of port to invade a battle is way way less common, by a lot. In a daily basis of raiding we had one occasion of the battle being invaded by captains sallying out of nearby port. One. And was right at Port Morant. I starting to appreciate the sweet spot of 300 - 400 steady numbers more than the peak 1000.
  17. Need to open a historical revisionism movement to answer that one
  18. Aye, I like them all, just think the element of - you can sail them all - becomes diluted with the hierarchy paths.
  19. Good work guys, but can it be done in a less tree-hierarchic model, if possible ? It confuses a bit as it seems that I can't sail a ship before I sail the previous one and that is not correct, I can sail any ship given rank and that it is available in my docks.
  20. How do we change from discussing a specific new mechanic and trying to understand how it works to... business retention rate ? C'mon, grab a drink and enjoy the brainstorm the Lordship seems interesting for many RvR aficionados. Keep the arguments in check and focused a lot of good ones going.
  21. I want everything. Now. Right away.
  22. They have a chance. Sail out, fight as fierce as you can. Win. Then sail the biggest meanest thing you can, fight over a Port. Have some things. What's there to stop your chances ?! Exactly, the enemy is there. They want the same chances.
  23. Why would you even be awarded ( or anyone ) the pension of another Lord if that Lord decides to retire to his house in the country and stay away from the sea ?
  24. A solid choice. Might even come across a Lordship yacht
