  1. Sugeestion as follows: Where X is the Hostility points needed for a Port Battle, versus Y being the amount of Tax generated by a town. The more "economy" the higher the bar of hostility has to be raised [ each mission giving less, pvp giving equal ] Meaning that ports that generate nothing would be 50% easier to enable the PB, the normal being 100k tax = what we have now, and above that escalates as per relation between X and Y as devs see fit. ( graph is illustrative only )
  2. Is there a overlay map of the Zones somewhere ?
  3. Thank you for your own personal and individual opinion. Let's keep on hearing others IF mechanics are change to allow a unified server, all good. Don't resist. Embrace change.
  4. When in doubt, use the following ( top right corner of every post ) Thank you.
  5. The tool we have is a round planet and stubborn RL affiliations that flood five specific nations with single timezones - US, Sweden, Spain and now Prussia and Commonwealth. Interesting enough that the other nations are worldwide populated
  6. For a unified serve to work the Conquest must work different. Cannot be as is, all the gamble being decided in one dice throw called "the one PB". And that is the truth, and you know it.
  7. This is actually half a lie , Prussia being a new nation and expected to be PvP-Impossible attracted some attention. Same as Commonwealth, same as Russian Empire. We know exactly whom is where. Some "green peas" are not vocal but they are there, in your nation, don't even doubt it. Global, keep reporting. There are mods there.
  8. It is nice to go straight to the point without the added negativity. Makes message more clear. Thanks General.
  9. Got it General. I comment precisely on the phrase I read. Sorry for not guessing unwritten thoughts. _ However, Events did change and they are aimed for - team epic naval action. How would a single player event spawning in the OW would be different from a Mission ?
  10. They are now very challenging, AI is really nasty, and best done with buddies for added fun, chances of victory and rewards for all. Epic events have some unique rewards.
  11. In reality crews in such a ship handled by traders would surrender even before you'd fire a shot. But let's suppose for an instant it was a pirate armed trader, after your broadside the crew morale would have evaporated. They would abandon ship and escape in the rowboats to the closest shoreline. Do we have crew morale during the non-boarding mechanics ?!
  12. I know exactly what you mean and isn't related; my question was direct and required a direct answer, which you gave . Thank you for that.
  13. Do a BR suggestion then, not by rate but by BR. So it is 15.5, not 17. Thank you. I was getting oddly confused.
  14. BR rules are in effect already. By the way can you show me the 17 knots please ? Appreciated.
  15. Abram, There's always something happening. Merge is only about RvR port battles set timers.. OW and conquest missions are 24/7
  16. Sorry Redii, but lunch was awesome, in a good mood. Sorry for being a sarcastic Muttley dastard By the way captains, looking at the problem to find the solution is long overdue. Maybe the solution lies not in what causes the problem - aka. round Earth and timezones - but how Conquest works.
  17. The schooner/brig captains cannot learn how to handle a bigger ship being commanded by another player if they never try. I do not support grief, but I support the opportunity of a death squad made of unrated preying on whatever they think they can take
  18. Correct. Also in real life ships of the line of battle were not thrown carelessly and actually kept in station of the fleet for war ! nation wide. Not local missioning. They had 74s and frigates and unrated for that . Plus, and taking by RN standards, captains were expected to actively seek and engage enemy ships, bigger and with fairly higher cannon count, a 32 was expected to active engage a 46/48. Do all captains follow that Rule of Engagement ? No, of course not. The wheel turns and burns and never stops.
  19. I am over with timers and linear hostility I made my peace. So no, I do not agree with you. Those factors do not exist anymore in the way I look to a future merged conquest. Carry on Captain. One of these days a solution will be found.
  20. Interesting approach... hmmm... ( looks back to Leonard Nimoy station in ED... )
  21. Several posts removed from the discussion. They were not related, offtopic.
  22. Global 64%, as stated, can be misleading though as it a measure of all three sail groups and masts hp. The upwind force exerted might still be sufficiently strong on the stays while blackblow on the mains is weaker due to damage ?
