  1. Did acquire the product to enjoy in this festive season and must say i'm very very pleased. I will not touch the campaign at all as i want it to be fresh upon launch so doing the singular engagements at a slow pace and replaying them trying different approaches hoping for different results. I really like the pace of naval combat, hope it stays that way. Land operations seem somewhat "too fast" regarding outcomes if one would translate into scale comparison to the naval side of things ( maybe it is the casualties rate ? no idea ). Anyway, have a lot of feedback lined up and eventually will share it. Last but not least the sound and music are really nice. Thank you team.

  4. As you all can't behave with proper civility as per tribunal rules, thread will remain locked to avoid further posts and will be reviewed by the admin board in due time.
  5. 1:1 scale even if with a more restricted area map, say Bahamas, or Eastern Mediterranean, or even just the Lakes during 1812 war. Simulation of actually taking advantage of the wind by controlling the rig as much as possible considering tech possibilities, not abstract accelerated speed. Same with gunnery. Would love less of mmo MP and more of simulator MP even if it means losing the great open world. Even if at the expense of being a big MMO but becoming a "big online war server" like other simulators running for 250 players and resetting at the end of the "war". Technically it is totally possible. Some projects being developed already do it at a grand scale of 1:1 scale and tens of thousands of unique connections at one spot, or anywhere in the world without time dilation ( eve ) or true instancing ( most mmos ) but actually being seamless.

  9. Less MMO and more Simulator... at all careers levels, and more Simulation at those same levels - true dedication to your chosen activity - crafter, frigate commander, fleet admiral, etc ( is sandbox so a career is simply the choice of what activities you dedicate more time on ). Thank you.
  10. It was like that during a certain time in EA ( patch 10 ). I loved it. Majority disliked it Trade goods and more important, crafting resources and materials were the main cargo being transported. Same with warships - capturing them was challenging but truly rewarding. And would deny your enemies a ship ( and time and materials involved in building them ) while providing your own nation with a new vessel. Alas the drive towards less than realism approach and more gameplay mmo type won the heart of the designers. Still the game can be very fun, albeit flawed in a "simulation of the grand age of sail in the caribbean".
  11. Sorry then. Thought fighting was the purpose of the game. Build ships, fight, build more ships, fight even more. You are right, i don't even play the game properly. I just blow up pixels anyway Carry on with whining in the forum and doing nothing in the map.
  12. Yes, I understand it would get somewhat wrinkled if i'd mindlessly farm AI in the War Server all the i'd spent in NA. Thanks for the warning. Hope you improve.
  13. Why don't you do it right now in shallow ports ? Everyone can attack from Shroud into the any of the Bahamas ports and don't have to use BIG ships. ( i'm not dismissing any of your opinion, btw. Just presenting a fast quick and dirty alternative to SHOW commitment to a cause - We want to fight! )
  14. Exactly. Red team vs Blue team. Just an observation - players that do want to fight will join the nations that do show promise of action - ow pvp and rvr - not necessarily Empire of Russia and United Provinces, but is also true that at this moment in NA War Server they are the most active.
  15. Me too. You have to sail and fight the PB. You will be screened and have to fight the screens. You have to sail and fight. You have to WANT to fight. Stop reading my words with your brain.
  16. Alliances only work if captains, of supposed alliance, sail and fight. Else is just an "idea". Sail to find and engage the enemy and fight the enemy. Everything else is just folly.
  17. Conditional ( like many roll games ); either get one of the less than 1.0 and if roll fails, get guaranteed 1.0 results. Roll.... no dice on the chance items. Roll again to see how many catfish and jacks and salt you get. That's a possibility. And it is used in many games, whatever media used ( board, pc, etc )
  18. Taken shortly after I suddenly exploded ( fires can be really nasty love it ), affecting 2 Empire of Russia ships to my bow quarter and 2 unfortunate Dutch across my stern. Managed to get the kill on Ram Dinark when he boarded Aussie then switched to his ship.
