  1. We need both, port transfers don't help you if the clan goes dead/inactive. Or a prime example was Turtle Cay this morning went Neutral. The clan leader is terminally ill right now and the clan is going through some hard times cause the clan warehouse was in St Mary's. While they have diplomats they hadn't been able to get to the port to add more money to the clan warehouse and it ran out. They could of traded this port to another clan until the leader gets back or they get the clan warehouse moved and situated. Luckly some one pointed it out and I was able to muster up some guys to flip it back to US this morning. We lost a lot of our ports the last few months cause of dropped ports from inactive clans or clans that moved.
  2. No one is working for anything right now cause once you have it you keep it and others send alts to take it goods out of it. Other games do wipes or resets every so often and it works fine. Don't want to loose your port than cap it back asap at the reset or don't put your stuff in ports that will reset. 6 months is a very very long time. I would actually go as far as we could test every three months, but I do think that is to short. We have folks that have ports no one has attacked since the wipe land grab so it's kinda pointless if no one attack I also think we should go back to regional ownerships instead of ports and we should drop a few of the nations as we have way to many nations and not enough players.
  3. A few guys seem to have gotten in but most of us can't get past the load screen.
  4. Some more pirate but Barbary flags If I ever returned pirate I would remake the "Salee Rovers" Which I think is the Flag of Commander above too. Barbarossa's Flag Problem with a lot of the Barbary flags is they are 1600 which was the age of Piracy time. I would say we should keep the flags to a certain time line too. Though a little out of it one way or the other wouldn't hurt to much I think.
  5. Old USS INDEPENDENCE (CV 62) I was on her when this pic was taken. We where the first combatant ship to get the honor in ages. It's normally some tender or something that has the oldest active duty ship in the Navy.
  6. 8880 hours here (and I still say about 1k of that was me passing out at the keyboard AFK). I always like to be self supported so I do my own personnel mini clans within a clan. That way I don't have to depend on others if folks stop logging in or the game goes dead waiting on things like patches or I have a falling out with a clan. I can easily step away and still play the game. When I test things for the game I test them as a small clan. I figure chars are equal to a small clan of 5-10 active players when I do things like crafting and other aspects of the game so I can give feed back on those things.
  7. Oh get over your cheating crap, it's not cheating unless your doing something that breaks the rules. I have 5 chars right. 4 of those are in the same nation (was 5 until recently) they do nothing that a small clan (all but the crafter is in the same clan) or group of players in the same nation can do themselves. I'm just a bit more organized cause I don't have to wait on some one else to log on and do something with one of the chars. Now my guy that is in another nation isn't spying or doing anything shady, we actually have a very strong alliance with that nation. I have him over there so I can attend fights with them and play more of the game (blame low pop for this and folks grinding nations to death). I'm not using him to do anything against game rules. Yes I make ships with my main crafter and he uses those, but that is nothing that two players of two nations can't do themselves. I sold tons of ships in the past to other nations to support them which again is not against the rules in game to do so. By your very definition of cheating your saying clans are cheating cause as they give an advantage over a single solo character/player?
  8. Are for repairs and which would be anther thing to make Battle sails more used....YOU CAN ONLY REPAIR WHILE AT BATTLE SAILS OR LOWER. It's stupid some one can be full sails and repair sails back to 100% while being chased.

Hay now every once in a while they have a spark of brilliance and help actually win a fight....we use to have an on going joke back on GLOBAL when I was Pirate, that the AI was just slightly better than the US nation players...with that there are honestly some players in game actually worse than AI...lol
  11. Yep I tend to set them up in the same nation and have them like this: Main (Sir Texas Sir), Shallow Water PvP, Crafter, Open world PvP (currently in another nation), Hauler/Mortar Brig. This way I don't have to constantly change my perks on my main, I have roles for each one that they do.

  13. What I"m not getting is when did this suddenly become a problem. Half the time I see AI in a battle it gets sunk cause it's a small ship in the middle of big ships. Or it's so much in the way it's a pain. Never seen folks chain some one to death with an AI, so this must be something new with some folks testing. Personally I hate the demast option cause half the time my AI is shooting nothing but ball and missing almost all it's shots and not hitting mast (slight damage to sails).
  14. The problem really isn't you getting tagged or making money, the problem is more the negative things you say in Nation chat about the Nation while making it very clear you are a French alt. Telling folks they should leave the nation to go to other nations and that the leaders aren't worth following. It's not good for the game and breaks the game rules. Moral is low all ready in a nation and ya'll just want to feed more and more toxic play. You do know if suddenly all of US stops playing you will have no one to hunt any more, than what? By being toxic and beating a nation into the ground doesn't bring more players, it runs them off. Believe me I know we did the exact same thing on GLOBAL as BLACK and the population just went down more and more. So with that I'll continue to report you ever time you speak poorly about the nation trying to get folks to quit or leave the nation.
  15. 5th rate reinforcements are kinda broken. I seen every thing from Reno's to....well Reno's....lol Maybe it should be top ship of that tier like an Indefatigable.
  16. Was hoping we get it before the end of last month or this week (tomorrow is a US holiday), but when it gets here I guess it will get here. I'm taking if this is taking longer than so will the in port UI and we prob won't be seeing that by end of the month?
  17. I"m glad we can cause other than me using my alts to test diffrent builds this lets me play like a tanked out to do PB/grind and a speed one and play it so to maybe find other issues with it. I honestly think moving it to 5th rate with the Herc until the other 6th rates are balanced with it is the best thing for this ship. It's a fun ship to play with and yes it can be sunk (Ask @Hethwill about me having tea with him last night).
  18. I can mov mine in and out of the fleet slot and docks. I have two chars with both ships on them twice.

  20. It was a port trade off I assume. So you just drop every one on the US side and than invite who you want on the Pirate side. @Christendom how many US did ya'll get out side Las Des last night? We told them we where giving the port to Spain so they have some where closer to stage and help us fight and folks still showed up out side in case the French showed up I take it. I mean how many times can you warn folks not to show up to the port? We where tipped off the French might come screen for the Spanish or something (prob didn't know it was a trade off port).
  21. They really need to drop the three extra nations and give those mechanics to pirates.
  22. Battle groups should be like old groups with info of the players ships and prob add BR. Group BR maybe listed next to the leader would be nice. I hate when we group up we can't see what ships every one is in. Maybe also list if they have fleet too, I had a few times didn't know some one brought a fleet until we got into a hostility mission or fight and the fleets locked out slots players could of used.
  23. The forge papers is pretty idiot proof as it errors any time you do something that can't be done, but yah now that we have them as DLC it would be nice if some one did a walk through to help new or old players not make any mistakes.
  24. And as some folks have recently found out the Herc makes a very piss poor boarder They are to high to shoot down or something like that is why you can't use them. Though with crew management Hercs are really bad to use as board ships (Requin is the king for this), so it's prob best to sale in groups as some Hercs have been finding out lately when we swarm them with Niagara's and H Rattlers and take them out. The H Rats support the Niagara's as they rage board the Hercs. Though now with Requin and every one and there mother having DLC ships it's easier to have these ships and support each other, just don't let the Hercs get boarded is all.
  25. Hope with the sale and DLC's they can maybe get a programmer/artist to work on more content while the main guys finish up the core game mechanics to get things more in line to go live. In the US we are more running into the problem with ports being under 5K so that you can only get like 5-6 (2500 BR) or 10+ (5K BR) players in it. We would like to see more 5K+ ports so we can get more players in and more folks can have fun. Biggest complaint i hear about RvR is, "Why should I come grind or screen if I"m never going to get into the PB cause it's the same 5-7 players that get in every time?" That and the grind on the bigger parts is so against the attackers. 10 ships only vs 10 AI ships and the defender can jump on so your either fighting 20 ships or your wounded and fighting 10+. Not to mention the gank you might get afterwards out side if you didn't bring enough screeners. Than if you loose any ships you loose a lot of your progress fast. We where at 97% agro a few times to loose it all when the main grind fleet got jumped and sunk by defenders....it gets where folks just give up and leave the fighting cause they don't want to start all over again or it's to close to the 3 hour window to try to finish it off again. RvR system still needs a lot of work to it. Another thing would be nice if they limit some ports to say 3rd rate or below or 4th rate and below. This way you can only have those ships and it's not the meta of stuffing in as many 1st rates as you can.
