Yah I would of only bought it on my crafter but I was like cool all the new paints and than I found out it's limited to old paints which wasn't to bad until they changed the permit system and now it's limits half the ships to RNG loot drop. I would of only bought it once not 3-4 times like I did. Just on the crafter since I would never go through one paint a day at this rate.
  2. Yep and I was expecting the paints in the API would be on the pack and that extra was new paints we didn't know about. I mean I have put over 500 into this game with half that being DLC's where is my money going to when they keep saying DLC is to pay for new ship and paint models? Now look at that list and see how many you can actually craft without some RNG permit to drop from random chest loots? The list is really small. 1st rate Santi and vict, but you need loot drops for Santisima 2nd Rate Luckly Buck and Pavel you can get the permits for. 3rd Rate Bellona and USS US, both need random permit drops. 4th rates NONE (we need more ships in this section to they need to finish the 3rds and bring back the Connie and USS US to 4th rate). 5th Rates La Bellep-Poule, Cerberus, La Renommee (need RNG permit), Trincomalee 6th Rates: Naiagara (need RNG permit) 7th Rate; NONE. So out of 11 ships we have paints for we can't even just ready craft 6, that is over half of them. We have the Endy paint from NYE the year and half in game and we know there are a bunch of other paints too. So why aren't they part of the package?
  3. 7 hours over 2 days isn't a causal who only plays an hour or two. Oh and that Hemp 3 is a waist until you get more labor hours. None of that stuff is going to add to your crafting hours, the only thing that does is a shipyard and crafting ships.
  4. I still haven't gone back to the crafter and finished it, but one of my other Dutch chars had no issues. I'm going to try it again tomorrow. Meant to do it today, got to get him out of 40 crew ships so he can make runs for me lol
  5. We where suppose to get more paints 30 days after the DLC was launched it'sbeen over 3 months now and no new paints. What I don't like about the paints is that most of them are locked behinds ships you have to get permits from RNG loot drop. Most of the ships should be crafted instead of some RNG loot drops for the permits. TO many ships are still locked behind this. It's great loot, but let us buy the permits too.
  6. You do know the servers are War (PvE/PvP) and Peace (PvE only). Either server you spend over 90% of your time killing AI if you want to level up, open slots and find loot. So stop with the this isn't, "PvE server if that is allyou want leave BS." What are you doing in game right now? I bet it's not PvP cause haven't seen your name pop up in combat news all day, bet your doing trade runs (what I'm actually doing for money/doubloons) or killing AI to level up (what I'm going to be once done with econ). The only people PvP right now seems to be the typical pirates farming the US scrubs for easy kills. You want AI to kill take missions from your capital, it's design that way with lower level missions for new players, other wise you want better AI you have to move away from the capital.
  7. They aren't meant for noobs, they are meant to allow expierence players to skip through the ranks faster. It's poorly stated that though. Oh and those timers are a pain they should be at least 20-30 seconds. I found issues with them and I"m a vet. They bugged up AI and there states, something like the pen better and such. My issue is that they should be balanced towards a Oak/Oak ship and not some elite maxed out ship. It's poor design when you have to bring in a tank out ship to fight them in OW and not use Oak/Oak what the devs constantly say is the middle ground. If so than the AI should be balanced against that. We have to many Vets bitching about how easy Ai is and they buff them, but they forget about the new players and casuals. Elite ships/fleets should be the buffed up version for vets to fight.
  8. I see this said a lot. You do know most of the best nations are not one clan,, it's mulit clans that work together to get a goal done. If you have 3 10 member clans they can get the same done as a 30 man clan. They might even be able to get more done if they are organized and the 30 man clan isn't. Nations like GB that have a very large player base issue is this, you have to many clans trying to do there own thing instead of working together which makes there numbers effectively useless in the long run of things. This is a Multiplayer game so it's not based around the solo players. They can still do the same things just take them longer or they might have to buy things off the bigger clans instead of doing it them selves.
  9. That is when they make a back up of the server,, while most games do do this and it's only a 5-15 min down time I sure as hell don't want to loose a week worths of work having it once a week. Though admin has said once things become more stable it will shorten and they will move the timer to a better time so it's not in the middle of SEA play time. Really one hour you can't go eat dinner or spend time with the family? For me that is my que I need to get to bed I been up to late.
  10. How about a NOOOOOOO I would like to see a trade ship DLC though maybe a LRQ refit that is a trader (slower, less crew, less guns, more cargo). Are even make it a craftable ship.
  11. and it's why most vets leave the island and go somewhere else. The problem is when they go every where else and get spread so much they can't help each other. It's an organization problem. They could be one of the most powerfull nations but they don't want to. Unlike Russinas that do spread out and have about the same amount of numbers but they work together for the most part. So stop calling them week, it's not our fault to many folks don't want to work together. This use to be US problem too, but they honestly are loosing a lot of numbers and not as big as folks think they are.
  12. Yah it would be nice if it was listed with your rank and such on the top left when in port and you can check your rank/crew for that rank. It just tells you the level and nothing else. You have to find the badge and check that under the crafting building tab.
  13. If they didn't have maintance every day than if something breaks we would have to roll back a few days or a week. PvE had recently had a few one day roll backs cause of server issues. Now should it take an hour? No prob about 15 mins max, but Devs have said when the patches get more stable and they need to do them less they will move it into another spot, but right now it's during there early work hours so if something messes up they are at work and can maybe fix it or hotfix/roll it back fast. GB still has one of the largest population it is not a weak nation. It's not others fault every one is disorganized and not want to work as a team as they spread all over the map. Any nation sitting around the 15% mark should be a strong nation, any sitting around 10% medium, 5% low....than we have the poor polish, we might as well just remove them from the game. Honestly I would love to see the Faction system with 5 nations instead of 11. Those numbers go up to more like 25% of the population for each faction which would give us better numbers for bigger fights.
  14. If you spendall day running delivery's you can earn enough for one level one bulding (shipyard, workshop, forge). Most folks don't got all day doing that. The rewords for AI kills is so low right now it's a struggle to get any money for econ stuff. I honestly think they went way in the direction for these DLC. Even when you do get to craft a ship you limited on permits that drop from RNG box's.

  16. come on Willis get good, learn the game you noob....lol I think I'm one of the few you know that uses it and doesn't mind, but I admit I left myself in the wrong selection before and it still can happen with the bow or stern option if you tap it to much or forget what you where in before.
  17. Why do we only get xp for crafting ships? We should get xp for making cannons, repairs and mods too. I'm not saying it should give you a lot, but what if a crafter isn't a ship builder? Than shouldn't he get xp through other means? The other thing is travel xp should go towards Ship knowledge of the ship your in. It's very little but when your using trade ships you don't really fight in them so they should gain a little xp. Why can't we get xp for crafted ships like we did a long time ago. This would allow dedicated crafters to gain a little level from people using ships they crafted.
  18. Guys did ya'll have your fleet retreat? I did it on an alt and didn't retreat the Fleet ship (your old one) passed with no problem. Just now did it with the char that would stop at 3% and not register in the circle and this time I didn't retreat my fleet. Passed. Maybe that is what is causing it to stick. Next alt I get to this point I'll retreat the fleet again and see if that does it again. See above, I'll try this in a few days again with another alt when I can and see if it's what causing it. Worked fine if I didn't retreat the fleet ship.
  19. This would been true if the old reinforcement zones where actually just a big capital zone to let players do that, but people bitched instead of fighting other PvP/Vets they just want to farm casuals and new players or easy targets. The whole zone should of been made a PvE only zone.

Proposed coalitions Northern Coalition 25.3% (based on historical agreements during napoleonic wars) 17% Dutch 4.88% Sweden 8.76% Denmark 2.87% Poland 0.97% British Empire 17.4% 27% Western Coalition 18.3% (based on historical agreements during napoleonic wars) 28% USA 9.15% Spain 8.83% France 10.21% Holy Alliance 26.3% (based on the historical holy alliance against france) 13% Prussia 3.61% Russia 9.33% Pirates 12.6% 14% Original numbers from May 3 post in red. So pretty much we have two nations that historically should not be in the game with the most population in the game. Even with the Coalitions alliance system they end up with the most players. I'm sorry DEVS you should never allowed fake nations that had nothing to do with this time period and these parts of of the world in. Ya'll keep saying DUTCH zerg all I see is bias zerg for nations that either should never be in game are extremely hard core mode. Thought this game was based in the Caribbean not the Baltic Sea?
  21. Be happy we have a perk for folks to use, we had to fight to get that for the casuals and new players. They removed all grid/map references at one time to make it hard core. You can always close your eyes click on the map and pretend there was a delay?
  22. We honestly went into that fight expecting to get slaughtered with only 13 guys (16 total) against there full team. It was a blast though as always when we had fights like that. They just never could get it in there head they weren't fighting 50 pirates it was only 15-20 guys. Some times 10-15 with many of us dual boxing. We also found out in that fight if you put crew on a ship and it get sunk it counts against you so from that fight on we never put crew on captured ships unless it can instantly escaped. We fought and argued a lot out of battles, but once that whistles was blown and it was game time. We all knew what we had to do and fought as a well organized team.
  23. That was a bad dev design cause the game should never be made for low pop, every thing should be made for high pop game. They did it cause the clubbers cried to much and got there ways. The same guys that refuse to fight each other in OW when they are right next to each other and wonder why they aren't getting any PvP.
  24. where you undercrewing that Le Herm? Undergunning it? Like other said get the freak away from capitals if you can't defend them. MOst of us all leave the capital and even drop that port. Though I do agree they should of keep a large safe zone around capitals for new players and casuals. capitals should never be free gank zones. They didn't properly protect them cause they where still pretty much gank zones even admin admitted it by calling them gank free zones. They didn't work cause every time they got changed it was in favor of the gankers not the new players safety.
  25. They might not have turned that feature off yet, maybe by end of week or month, but it's good that you let them know since this was suppose to be a gift for EA accounts only.
