WAR!!! Great Britain Declares War on the US Nation!
Sir Texas Sir replied to Christendom's topic in Caribbean News
Yah we are doing our thing around the Keys taking some ships off the hands of those we can (got an Aggy last night). Though it's mainly been the US side, but I'm sure the Brits won't be safe either. We kinda want to see how this war goes before we put pressure on either side. As you can guess we are more just staying out of the Dane/French thing. Sooner or later we will switch out of OW PvP mode and make that entry your waiting on. Just want to see how all the cards drop first before we decide on our first big move. We been doing our part in taking of the prizes. Though we don't discriminate on who we been sinking around the Keys. Though honestly it's mostly been the US. Though I did get a Brit trader around the event area. We are just doing what pirates do best....lol -
Clan mate reported the same thing right @Willis PVP2 about them shooting double charge out of Carros. Admin pretty much told him to learn the game....what the hell is that responce? Well I only seen it do this one time and it was on a smaller light ship and I had no problems. Well I wanted to grind some fleets and I brought my aggy and a new one I just built to make it a bit easier since I have done 4th rate fleets solo. See the mix of 4 ships (kinda low) and think well the Ingermanland will be the hard one, but hell I taken out Connies, Indefatibales and Endymions no problem solo with my aggy, I should be able to do this like a cake walk. I do my pass send the other Aggy after the Endymions as it was going away from the pack. I'm draw off the Connie cause I tend to bounce it shots and take little damage before I sink them....I get a full broad side and notice a lot of my armor and structure is gone and connie starts that one shot thing instead of waiting for the full reload. I look at the battle log as I'm no a tick armor left and 1/3 of the structure gone. I hit repair tell my AI to retreat that has taken very little damage and get the hell out of that mission. I"m sorry that felt like he was doing insane damage to me and seeing his 12 pb where doing 56-78 damage and even more with the 24's no wonder he was melting my armor (max thickiness on the Aggy). Yah I think something is glitchy with the AI some times.

[RAT] Drowning Rats Recruiting!
Sir Texas Sir replied to Capt. Lucky Luke's topic in Caribbean server guild recruitment
We didn't the influce from PvP1 as we where hopping, that was more US and GB that got that. Got a few new players and some that stopped playing a good long time ago. Oh and the alts that where kicked/ran out of the nation. Though I'm sure if we lost players it still would be to many pirates for ya'lls own taste. We give [RATS] best of luck and plan to work along side with ya'll and the other new clans or returning ones. Lets make our little Pirate Republic a strong one. -
PVP-EU and PVE server connection issues
Sir Texas Sir replied to Ink's topic in News Announcements & Important discussions
With the down time of the three servers off and on over the last week maybe a paint chest redeemable for every one on all the servers? Sorry the ships are getting a bit bland looking alike.....shameless plug, but hope the other servers issues get taken care of.- 6 replies

Bring back teleport to Free ports
Sir Texas Sir replied to Jones el Tuerto's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
Nope, if you want instant fight they have an arena game coming out. Other wise move an out post to you front lines and fight that nation. Free towns should be trade hubs between nations not gank points for any one that use it. And if you have only a few hours than set up a base in one and work out of it until you have to return to get supplies.- 44 replies

Treacherous Danes - the French Cold War Goes Hot
Sir Texas Sir replied to Slamz's topic in Caribbean News
Long standing agreement and having common enemy's. That and look who have regions back to back with each other. Some of us are smart enough to not have multi front wars. That and they have been the only nation that has keep there word with us. Over 9 months alliances between the two clans. And the agreement is simple. We just don't attack each other is all. What exactly is NIGHT CAP? This is GLOBAL SERVER. It's my morning. If you don't have enough SEA players than maybe you should recruit. Remember when you attack them it's there off time too so being a global server there is no such thing as night flips. -
Britain and Danish agree to non-aggression
Sir Texas Sir replied to Fastidius's topic in Caribbean News
I'm sure they will fight, but right now with Danes vs France why would they want a two front war? They aren't very big in numbers so they prob couldn't handle that. So I can understand the agreement for now. That and remember who sits on the Danes other side that has been kinda silent and has had a long running agreement with them.....we still just sitting back and seeing what every one is doing, but sure enough we will get into the fun. Soon....soon I tell you. Well maybe after some OW fun and such. Being little nats/thorns is more fun for use right now than any RvR. -
unless he didn't sync up his account before the merger/patch dropped.
-
They actually sink faster in PvP cause they don't have every freaking mods like the AI ships do, so yes you can have less a chance to loot. If you are fighting 10 other ships you shouldn't have time to loot just one ship. Should of plan your fight better.
-
It's been brought up and prob won't come along until closer to release.

Built in Boarding Bonus
Sir Texas Sir replied to Captain Lust's question in Feature proposals and Gameplay Help Q&A
Thought it was 30, but hay either way it's 20-30 points to moral. I have confirmed it is still in the Privateer, but I have yet to craft the Pirate Frigate to test it out as it was going to take a lot of grinding on the Frigate to get the slots open. Now that we don't have to grind up other ships I'll prob make one and test out a board fit or something set up. -
The Lineship 'Problem'
Sir Texas Sir replied to JollyRoger1516's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
We lost a L'ocean last week cause of a bunch of Surprises jumped into a fleet mission he was doing with a santi. We warned them not to out solo doing those fleets like that. The AI actually sunk the ship but still the point is it's not safe. This is how we use to capture so many 1st rates from the US back on PvP2 cause they would be out solo grinding fleets or there escorts will run to rush into the port battle and leave the slow expensive ships behind. As for BR limits that wil only work for a loby system as to who do you pick gets to go in the fight? We don't want a lobby system. You can save that for the Arena game. Though I can see something being used on raids. You make a party of 12 and you have a BR limit. You can't activate the raid flag unless you have under that raid type BR in group. Than you can go make the raid. This would be the only way on the NPC style raids Devs talk about seeing a raid system work, but we don't want that limit. Instead you limit the highest BR each player can bring for a total BR maybe. Just like we have the shallow, 4th rates and lineship restrictions for them now. -
Single World PvP/PvE idea
Sir Texas Sir replied to CaptVonGunn's topic in Patch Feedback and General discussions
And than the GoM was actual not a bad spot for such but more on a smaller pop Server like PvP GLOBAL and PvE merged I think it would work. On a high pop server like PvP EU I think it would be to crowded. To be honest if folks want to PvE only they need to go to the PvE only server. Stop trying to bring PvE only to the PvP servers. Which in all honestly should be called PvP/PvE servers since you can do both at risk though. I would love to see more numbers on any server but I'll be honest to say until the game goes live I think the PvE only server is a waste of resources for the Devs, but if they want to make those guys happy more power to them. Not many Devs will go out of the way in a game in development just for a very small group of there current player base like that. More power to them. Right now the map is all ready way big, we don't need to be adding more to it. I could see later instead of doing NA2 maybe doing some expansions of the Map as more content, but that would be way down the road after release. -
How are fires calculated?
Sir Texas Sir replied to mueganra's topic in Patch Feedback and General discussions
Want to add to this that each ships Magazine is not located at the same spot. So your ships before might have a better located Magazine compared to your current ship. If you learn where a ships mag is and start to target that area of a ship you have a better chance to set them on fire. I been working on figuring some of these locations out and testing this. I do believe even some of the bigger ships have more than one. They are located on the ships according to historic location of the powder magazine so prob some of this data can be looked up. Though the location I think is more related to the ship exploding. The fires are started from sparks. When a cannon ball hits a cannon or something else that could cause a spark and it gives it a chance of starting a fire in certain areas of a ship. -
WAR!!! Great Britain Declares War on the US Nation!

Just want to give ya'll props for what ya'll have been doing the last week around the Turks and Crook area. We where very surprised to see CKA out hunting. Well the better members at least. But lets be honest ya'll wouldn't had keeped those regions even if a full 25 showed up. While you complain about them getting there fleet ready, we have 4th rates ready to fight Port Battles. Many don't and I'm sure it's not a secret about or SOL fleets by now. They where going to be lost any way at this time. Just like we didn't even try to defend Santa Fe when the Brits took it, it's to far away at this time to defend. Most folks only have 5 ships slots, a few Out Post and maybe a hand full of ships to fight with right now. They loose those far away from home port they are out of the fight. Bring it on if you want to take them back. We will rightfully defend our regions as we are almost done with our buffer. I'm pretty sure there is one more British shallows you and you clan can come defend. There was one Brit at George Town and he had a blast. Did a 2 vs 1 against some HOOD guys as we watched (BLACKS money was on the Brit). He almost beat them too, good player but can't remember his name for the life of me, but he showed up by himself and came out to have some fun. We respected that and let him have the Skirmish with the small clan members that made it into the Port Battle. So with that get your clan to Nassua and defend Brits last northern province (well not counting Bermuda as who in there right mind other than a trader wants to sail out there) in the Bahamas. Make it a great port battle and hay ya'll might actually win it...... -

WAR!!! Great Britain Declares War on the US Nation!
Sir Texas Sir replied to Christendom's topic in Caribbean News
Back on PvP2 we stated that all nations will have three regions even the poor dead Spanish Nation just in case some one does want to play that nation. This keeped regions from being one ported by others. I'll be honest every one keep that except the US. They went and one ported Spain. They are the only nation that has not truly every helped another nation. I'm kinda ready for them to be knocked off there high horse and actually have to fight for once. They have the numbers to fight, the problem is they have to get out of port and actually defend them. I know many of good captains I have fought along the US coast line that wanted to fight other nations, but the stupid alliance system keep them from doing so. Now without it it's more clan base and we can have wars with who ever we want not matter what our nation majority wants. As a server we should really try to keep all nations at 3 regions so they have there home capital and two other regions to work with and regrow. So that way we never truelly one port any one nation no matter what. The problem is to many folks are greedy and will think, "We might as well take it before the other guys do." Pirates where more than happy to have Spain take Santa Fe from us, but that got snagged up by the brit with our ok since we had no plans to defend it, but than they are letting us take the ports around us for now without a fight. TO BE VERY CLEAR THAT WAS NOT ANY ALLIANCE BETWEEN PIRATES AND BRITS. Any one could of showed up to defended those ports on either side if they had wished. We only took Remidios cause we knew US was going to jump for that like they always do. Lets be honest we don't want them knocking on our back door. If they want a nice safe place to hide the GoM it should be. They can defend those ports if they wish or they can let them go. At that time Spain had a good number of ports still. We would love to give that back to Spain if they ever got a population, but the problem is they wouldn't be able to keep it with current population in game. From what I'm hearing it's the carebears that are going to loose there Conquest marks they got from empty port battles that are complaining cause now they have to fight to keep them or loose them. Well get off your arse and get a fleet over there and fight for them. These are all parts of the game, so lets play it. The game is called NAVAL ACTION after all. -
WAR!!! Great Britain Declares War on the US Nation!
Sir Texas Sir replied to Christendom's topic in Caribbean News
That is what makes our clan so effective for being small. I'm never joking when I say it's only 15-20 guys. Yes we can get more on but that is the average most the time. T hough lately we been getting more like 20-25. You have one clan that effective working with each other and almost filling a port battle them selves it can be very effective, but we are still lacking on the totlat numbers or being able to have more than one port battle team or screeners. Pirates aren't as big as a lot of folks believe. That is something a lot of the guys find out when they switch over from there nation. We are the third largest nation, but we have a lot of what we call Mort Rats (our own version of carebears that stick around the capital) but we since the merger are getting a few smaller clans (FC getting pretty big on there own, but they are all new players mainly). We aren't pushing any war with any ones cause we know we can't handle a two front war and well open world PvP is way more fun. Right now we want other nations to grow and get strong to have better fights. The main thing that make us so effective is we can adapt in battles. We also normally don't have one battle caller. We have 1-3 guys that control the battle, but in the fight we work as a unit. We call out targets to each other and focus fire or use each ships and players strengths (like Jean and his demasting skills, Nyrtle for his boarding and etc etc...). I'll say it over and over I'm not some elite player, I'm very average and normally suck in 1 vs 1 if the other captain is a skilled. If your talking about HELL clan? Those weren't pirate alts. Those where US alts and sympathizers to the US. Many of the ones that was ran out of Pirates had been suspected of being US alts and spy's even before the patch. We just didn't have the proof or means to run them out of the nation. Once we got the proof (and yes we have logs to prove one was either a NPG alt or dealing with one as you don't need screen shots if you know the battle loggers data). It's really funny how the clan members that didn't go over to US weren't the problem and they left clan mid fights and didn't want anything to do with them. Though even more funny how they ran straight to US and was taken in by some clans without batting an eye. They where in pirates to cause rift and try to get us to fight with each other. It didn't work. I'm starting to wonder if there are some other stooges in other nations trying this too? Oh and why are they all ways pirates alts? You want to know something I bet BRITS, US and other nations prob have more alts than we have. Including within the Pirate Nation. It's not a pirate only thing. As for my name your a freaking moron thinking it's from the movie FULL METAL jacket. You are wrong. Look up the HOUSTON metal band DEADHORSE. The shirt I'm wearing in the pic in my profile has the Texas farm road on front. An actual Texas farm road that runs north and south. It's what I normally would use for my avator but folks like you keep thinking the name is from a movie. The shirt is from a concert NYE '95 when I was home on leave from the Navy for the first time in 14 months and went to their concert. Cause folks started to call me that all the time when I had the shirt on and I'm from Texas I started to use it as one of my gaming handles. The band has been around since the early 80's (Fullmetal Jacket came out in 87). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_Horse_(band) Care Bear 1. Lightly derogatory term for an MMO player who avoids PVP combat, heavily preferring cooperative or solo PVE combat, chatting, or developing tradeskills/running quests. Depending on the game and the individual, this PVP avoidance can show up in several ways: by playing on strict non-PVP servers; by avoiding PVP areas or declining duels; or, by avoiding or condemning PVP players. Philosophically, they often cite unbalanced combat systems, overpowered guilds, ebayed characters, and ganking as reasons to prefer less aggressive play. The mindset can be self-sustaining in several ways: high-level "care bears" may have avatars that are tailored for PVE, not PVP; they may not network with skilled PVPplayers; or, they may morally refuse to learn aggressive PVP tactics. As an insult, the term applies less to players who merely prefer PVE to PVP and more to individuals who question the basic legitimacy of PVP or who greatly overreact to their avatars' deaths You are against a war with another large nations. So tell me how exactly you are not a carebear? If you weren't you would be like, "hello kitty you BRITS BRING IT ON. WE ARE GOING TO SLAUGHTER YOU." So yes your a carebear in my book. Prove me wrong and I'll stop calling you and others that. Cause unless some one can prove me wrong I have not seen you in any fights, non-empty port battles or open world PvP. Can any one contest that he is not just another carebear? Sorry for the lessons off topic guys. HELL hello kitty NO WE DON'T WANT THEM ANY WHERE CLOSE TO THIS SERVER.....they can stay over there for all we care. We don't even want them in small nations or Spain. -
What is normal folks work time? Where they on the same times for both servers? Wasn't on. If they where during only EU prime time than it wasn't fair for the global server. They need to have these events on random rotation of times not set any one time. Would like to know more other than the fact I heard you got chest with mods/refits and maybe a ship not or BP in it.

The Conquest. Part 1. PORT BATTLE Mechanics
Sir Texas Sir replied to Koltes's topic in Patch Feedback and General discussions
That is exactly the point of a troop ship, you give up fire power for the troops. Just like folks that make full board builds. They are weak in the brawl until they can board. It's a trade off. @koltes I like the concept, but I would keep the two out side circles as cap circles, but call them Blockaid circles. You have to control them before you can do the landing party. The landing party has to be the "A" circle. That way there is multi ways to win, but the blockaid circles only gives you a slight gain in control points for the battle. The two ways to win for sure is kill them all and landing party at the port. This will give small nations more of a chance and as we all know attacks should be hard and defense should be easier to hold than they are. Right now attackers can control the two outer circles and win. Ports could be blocked aided for months if not a year or more before they ran out of supplies back than. -
WAR!!! Great Britain Declares War on the US Nation!
Sir Texas Sir replied to Christendom's topic in Caribbean News
SHhhhhhhh I'm a pirate you should never trust me, but hay I'm just trying to get the easy prey in one area for the pickings...lol Having been US over a year ago before I turned Pirate I can say this is one of the biggest issues with both the PvP2 GB and US players. More the US though that think the same thing will work they been doing the last 9 months. If it hasn't work to this date it's time for a change. A lot of the US we have fought aren't bad players so it's not really lack of experience and we have seen some newer players lead good hard fights. The problem is they keep letting the same older players that don't come out and PvP and get into the dirty gridy things of battle lead for them when these are the same guys that show up in failfit boats and run at the first sight of any resistance. Back in WoT we had a rule....if me or one of the other leaders aren't the first to die than we did something wrong. That is cause we lead the fights from the front not the rear. We fight like this in our clan on here. You won't see any of the leaders or officers in the back (Ok maybe when I'm in a mortar brig, but that is it). You see us in the middle of the fight with the rest of our clan members. The only way your going to get better at the PvP/RvR is to fight. You do not get better by sitting in your port, rolling empty ports and picking on smaller nations that can't even fill a Port Battle with 25. -
WAR!!! Great Britain Declares War on the US Nation!
Sir Texas Sir replied to Christendom's topic in Caribbean News
I'm calling BS on 3rd largest. Before the Merge PvP2 US had the largest population with GB second and Pirates third. Just GB/US is 2/3's of the serer population. Now I'll say GB has moved into number one spot, but US has way more population than PIrates have, who are prob number three as largest nations. The problem is the majority of your name aren't PvPer and ya'll spend most of your time doing trade and crafting. Though seems not very well if ya'll are showing up to Port Battles in store bought ships and such lately. Again defend and keep what ya'll can. US doesn't n need over half the map (well not that much). Do like pirates are and pick a zone to protect and keep that area protected. US expands there selves way to thin. If you can't defend those ports than you don't need to own them. This isn't PvP2 any more it's a whole new game. So take your clan and get with a few others and set up what area ya'll want to keep and protect in the Gulf and do so. By what I'm understanding is they don't plan to attack you along the east coast so your safe there. -

Sir Texas Sir replied to Christendom's topic in Caribbean News
Maybe it's time ever one stop listening to NPG or any other trouble clans and working together. Again if you help flipped them in the first place than why shouldn't you help defend them? What if that was actually Spanish players taking them back. Hell what if us pirates decided to take them? Wouldn't you have to defend them too? It doesn't matter the clan/nations that are attacking them. They are US ports and if ya'll want to keep them you will need to move your front line to that area and do just that, defend them. As for GB that attack any clan that doesn't want to help doesn't have to help. They can stay back in KPR or where ever they set up at and stay out of the fight. That is the lovely thing about not having an alliance system right now it's more player/clan base if you want to fight one nation or another. I know MARS is more of a trader/econ clan, but if you want to protect your ports/econ you need to take up the fight and protect them. Other wise VCO/TF and any that join them will just prove ya'll are a bunch of carebears and couldn't hold those ports any way. Remember we have not attacked any nations yet, cause we are taking our time to build up, but by all means when ya'll attacked the Key West Region we had right to start a war and push back, but we didn't, we just went into defense mode. If ya'll want to keep those regions than do the same. Maybe from this some good clans will rise to the top and US will find some new leaders to lead them. -

No one is making ya'll fight anything. They said the Gulf of Mexico. If ya'll want to keep those regions you fight. If not than you just don't show up and loose all those regions. I mean by what others are saying they flipped them any way so why shouldn't they get them for there new nations? -

Wow stooping to name calling now. Than you go to the alts accusations. I'm going to take a wild guess he's prob got production in those ports and don't want to loose them. If your still at the capital than hay what does it matter if you loose all the ports in the gulf since you didn't earn them your self, VCO and TF did. Remember this game is called Naval Action.
