That is up for the Devs to review. If it's just a bunch of new players making a mistake fine, but if they find they are alts than they need to be dealt with per rules of the game. I wish I had video but our video guy wasn't going to start recording until the PB started. When the tagged happens we where in a tight ball after seeing @siZZled1ck as we expected to be screen like crazy on the way there. The three INCP guys than moved to the middle of are ball and that was when they tagged him. Before that they where a good distances from our group and that is when we asked them to leave and join the screening guys. I would like to add they didn't leave with us from Mort. These guys came from La Tort area. Was just told they did leave from Mort and followed behind us. We where tagged in front of St Nicolas on the way there.
-
They have been seen before spotting for Brits over the week. Though I wasn't involved with those attacks to know who was the brits they where spotting for. They where asked to leave and no one knows who they are. Thanks commenting, not trying to point fingers at you, but these guys aren't noobs. The way they where acting and such, but hay lets leave it for the Devs to review. @Rick Astley @Christendom If either of you are not involved in this than please stay out of this post. If you know the person in question than you can let them come and speak for them selves. Lets not make this into another drama post war like most the other Tribunals. I stated my accusations and will leave it in the hands of the Devs.

INPC clan had three ships weaving in and out of our port battle fleet on the way to PnP and they tagged a British players in a privateer that was close to us. Captain Ranger moved to the middle of our fleet and than Tagged the British players. We had paged him and the others from INPC to not come near us as we had a screening fleet a head of ours and that they should go join them. They had no intention to attack the Brit players as soon as we where able to leave the battle all of them where out and along side of our fleet again. Until they left us. We suspect at least the one that did the tagging if not all of them are British alts. We have never seen this clan before or ever talked to any of it's members.
-
Yah I done a bunch of those to run up my ship knowledge before it got removed and never got more than one ship. Just make sure he didn't accidently do a fleet instead. We get guys doing that or take solo when we all plan to fleet all the time. When it's one though I found you tear of there sails and than stern them it slows them out. Was messing with one of those rookie snows with a basic cutter, but than mine has all 5 slots open and I'm not a new player.

The game is Clan vs Clan based now a days and I don't see anything wrong with one clan that has a beef with another clan hiring out some Privateers to take care of them. Get some friends in another nation to kill the Brits and pirates while the Brit clan just kills the pirates. I mean isn't that what half the fun of politics and such of the game is all about?

While we do lean towards the Aggies, but if you look at our Port Battles fleets there is a reason we mix them up with some ships. The SOL's you won't see all Oceans or Santies or Victs. For one we want our guys to be comfortable in the ship they are fighting in. The second thing is we don't line fight. We bring it to the dirty nasty brawl as soon as we can and proceed to sink folks that don't know how to brawl. Connies make great fast response ships and they have pretty good crew management depend on your builds. Aggy is a great tank ship for brawling, but it lacks on the speed and turn rate that the Connies have. They both are great ships, but I wouldn't put my money on one or the other if you do a straight out 25 vs 25 (ok money would prob be on the Aggy's). Now take a well organized clan in a mixed fleet that can work off each other strength and weakness they will beat those 25 Aggy's/Connies no matter what. If your a small nation that doesn't get many CM than you need to fight the fights you can handle. Go or the shallow water and 4th battles. Don't go pick a fight until you have the fleet that can fight it. Bring actual ships made for the fight (not store bought). I have two Aggy's. One for OW PvP and the other for Port battles. I have two Victs. One for attacks and the other for home defense port battles. I have a Connie I use for OW PvP and my alt uses Surprises/Renno's with a speed Bucc for OW fighting, even though he's my shallow water char for those port battles. If you catch what I'm meaning is that you have ships for the fights your going to do. If you don't than try to get something the best you can or well maybe take the week or two to get a better ship. The patch has only been out what 5-6 weeks now, so a little over a month and half. No one expects every one to be in 1st rates, but sure enough folks should have good shallow water and 4th rate ships by now. Oh and ya'll forgot two other groups of players: Forum Whores (I'm one of them) that has to post on every little thing and get involved. Than you have the Drama Queens. These folks don't even PvP/RvR or hell play the game for the most part but all they do is spend time in global and forums posting and commenting on every thing trying to stir the pot up between others.

I still think they been building up an Iron Fleet and they plan to roll us all when we don't expect it.

I do not understand why my cannons aren't reloading
Sir Texas Sir replied to Quineloe's topic in Support
Rare bug that pops up from time to time. Also try to hit F11 and cancel it as that some times causes some of the hang up bugs like this to stop working. Than you get the very bad times when nothing works and you just got to run. -
Hay now I don't make useless post thought, mine tend to deal with game mechanics when I make them. Now my post are some times on the side of flat out addiction, but hay when your retired and don't have anything else to do I forum whore....lol I did take yesterday off from the game to do other things. I'm sure every thing ran just fine in game and on here without me. It's very hard to ban some one just off an IP. Cause most of them are shared for the most part and can change mullti times when you log in over and over. The only thing mine would say is my provider is the same except my three pirates are all logged in from the same machine so they will matched up. Some one else might use other means. The proof in that post was about the deeds of that once char. It didn't prove who he was other than he used the system in a means not intended. Though I think what got him found guilty was who ever it was changed his char name and such. HE should of just keeped it the same and said he was clueless if he was realy a noob, than again only like 10% of the players actualy get on these furoms and post There is a reason we haven't posted a tribunal about the alt that we suspect as a BRIT/TF alt in pirates. We want to make sure we have all the proof gather on him and his alt when we make it. Not just tossing out blind accusations. Again doing so without proof is very much against the forum/game rules. I would advise folks to read the actual game rules. Accusing some one in game and on the forums without proof is against the rules. Let me add two more rules certain folks in here have been breaking over and over in the forums and Game. I'm really hoping @Ink and @admin stick to there standards when these players are being reported. The name calling, slander and accusations are getting a bit out of hands by parties that don't have proof to back them. Those are forms of both personal attacks and accusations of exploiting/cheating fall under these rules. Yes I report you ever time I see such actions in global chat and now on here. 3. Personal attacks, racism and discrimination are prohibited Personal attacks are posts that insult another forum user directly or discuss user’s personal life or situation. Posts that include race, religion or sexual preference based personal attacks and trolling can result in immediate suspension. Such behavior will not be tolerated. 8. Discussion of moderation, warnings and bans is not allowed. Such matters shall remain private between Game-Labs and users. The discussion of forum moderation actions usually leads to flaming and trolling. That is why this type of discussion is strictly prohibited under the forum rules. During the development of the game there is usually no way to appeal.

Ship permits are lame
Sir Texas Sir replied to Sea Fox's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
75 Combat Marks isn't that hard to get (Connie Permit) and it's less for other ships. Any solo player can get them just like any group. In fact you prob will get them better solo than fokls going out in groups that have to share there rewards with one anouther in a group. If you don't have the time to grind than to be honest you aren't going to get into certain ships fast. Even large groups shouldn't be in certain ships fast. If your not as active as others you can still get those ships, just takes you longer. So if no it's no near impossible, easy? Maybe not as much as folks would like but it shouldn't be. The meta now should be based around the 5th rates mainly. -
Remove Basic Cutters from PvP
Sir Texas Sir replied to Aventador's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
This is very well put and since I wasn't in that battle I don't know what the call was, I was with another clan mate fighting off a few of the US screeners that got us separated cause we didn't make sure every one was ready when they left the first battle we where in. These guys act like that was the only battle we where in before the port battle. I was in 3 myself and never made it into the Port Battle. I think there was about 4-5 battles before the main group got into the port battle. I don't know who Master Baiter was, for all I know he could of just been some noob, but INK made a call on what ever they found. As in that chars cause I don't think set back would work since it looks like he was a new spawn. Though I do agree that Socialism has been called out and he needs to be punished as there is a lot of evidence that some one can gather including the screen shot that he is very much an alt of a US player or more now British. We have suspect of who it belongs too and he has been in two of our Port Battles. Did no grinding and just showed up and enter. One of the port battles he took one or our slots and meant one of our guys got left out and than tagged by a small group of British screeneers (San Lago when we took it from spain). Some one that has all the data needs to compile it and post it. I don't have all that info so I won't make the claim. As for alts all mine are Pirates cause of the new system. Yah pre-patch I had 2 pirates and one Dane, but that Dane is now my crafter char so I can keep the two Pirates free to be in the fight. -
That is why a lot of folks say they should have taxes and a degradation system. If you don't upkeep a region it can fall into chaos/rebellion and can be easy to capture or go neutral. Though these regions are easy target they tend to be way out of the way too.
-
US this is not how you win things. We felt sorry for the guys that stayed and they put up a good fight. We caught there agro grinding fleet and as soon as we entered every one that could escaped did. The ones that stayed all got sunk excepted we captured the Bellona and one Reno.
-
I would love to know who we ran out for no reason. Every one that I know we ran off had very good reason cause they where very toxic players (attacking other pirates not just BLACK) or they where spy/alts of other nations and those guys where trying to cause a split in our nation. You should hear our nation chat now that they are all gone. It's very peaceful, folks ask for help and we are supporting each other. We tell the smaller clans to go do what they want for the most part, but if they want to run up agro and expect our help they need to let us know before had, other wise they are on there own (they found out about this when they put agro on PnP without our help). If we where so bad a clan than why is it when folks leave other nations they come to us to join, though many of those get butt hurt and become toxic when we refuse to let them join. Why would we want some one that jumped ship so easily? Not to point fingers but did any one notice that HELL clan broke up and certain players stayed pirates and formed with other clans, while the toxic players of that clan ran off to US (suspected US alts of that group and PvP1 alts before server merge). Those same folks have now ran off to Brits with there suspected alt clans? Cause maybe just maybe we where right about them being alts. We have screen shots and proof of certain things, but they didn't do anything worthy of a tribunal so we didn't make one for them. We handled it in house. Now for one of the problems I seen with something like the Pirate vs Pirates FFA is that big clans can abuse it and pick on little guys. Just like the old alliance voting system didn't solve anything cause it was all ways going to be the big clans with the numbers that won the vote even if most of the small clans wanted war. Some times having the biggest players/clans is not a good thing for a nation. Just cause they are older and stable and been around for a long time doesn't mean it's good, just mean they don't run off to other things.

“Being Prepared…” and Norfolk’s hard lesson
Sir Texas Sir replied to Norfolk nChance's topic in Guides - development forum
I have two speed builds I like for the Surprise and one set up is to run all long 6's on it and I do this with the reno. These are the light as a feather ships that are meant for tagging and keeping some one in a fight until the group catches up. Though on my more solo run I do the same. 9 longs on the bottem and Carros on the top deck. I just keep them off until I get beside some one and than use them to rip into armor and grape them. But the bigger ships suffer on getting rang on the the lower decks compared to some of the smaller ships that the roll works in there favor to get longer ranged shots. With the reno I tend to turn off the top deck any but if I run longs on it I leave those top deck 6th's off. It's all about crew management and making the ship as light as you can. I can run all my decks on the reno and not turn anything off and still have marines too. The Surprise has a little better crew management you have to play with to do the same. "Really you have Marines?" -
Well Brits too Santa Fe for one so that is out of hand. As for taking back the two Spanish can come and ask, but like the Brits/US say we know they can't hold it and the GB and US (for them its the pirates) will just snag it up. Again what does this have to do with the topic of the thread and coming from a player that can't even keep your own nation in line I don't think you should really be giving any one else political advice. The topic should between US and Pirates and there conflicts.. Last I checked you got your own little war and civil war to deal with.
-
When VCO and TF was thinking of going Spain we offered to give them Santa Fe (shallows below Cuba) and Remidios if they where to make the change. We took 3 Spanish ports and that was way before the US/GB even got into the Gulf so don't try to pull that card as the reason they took the WHOLE GULF. We took the last two after US and GB started to get into the gulf. For a total of 5 regions only. We didn't over extend our selves either. We took what we can protect from our home base. I never said your not a man? Where the hell you get that? I just said if your going to get involved with the big politics than you should be involved with and not running around in a small ship and not being part of it. You love to butt your business into play your don't even do. And for your info I sail around in a privateer all the time and hunt in the shallows. The problems is I use my other Pirate that is set up for speed ships and shallows. His largest ships is a Surprise until recently I made him a Speed Bucc to help with home defense. Texas I use for PB's and heavy ships. That is my play styles. Just like you have yours. But why are you in a post about US and Pirates RvR making statements about things that has nothing to do with that other than the fact you like to troll?
-
They weren't the only ones that took those ports. I know a good number of US players that are still around and was still getting CM marks, but that doesn't matter now since apparently VCO and TF are claiming the gulf. Maybe when US gets back on it's feet it will only have to deal with those two clans when they take those regions back. Since doesn't seem like to many of the other clans in GB want to mess with anything above KPR. Funny aren't you describing exactly what you do? So aren't you the one running around baby seal clubbing since you won't get out of the kiddie pool or get into big ships for the most part? I have taken an Indianman with a Basic cutter so killing a Tbirg with a lynx realy isn't much bragging rights man. As for Spain did US or GB really have to roll and take all of the GoM ports? I mean the US I could see taking up to NO/Texas, but they honestly don't need all the other ports. Same with British they have tons of regions all ready. There was no reason other than greed to take all those regions. If some clan decided to roll Spain it would of been nice to have some regions set aside for the new folks that logged in not knowing the state of that nation to actually own and use. Instead the big nations have this stance that they have to grab every dot on the map or someone else would. For some one that doesn't do RvR you sure butt your nose into it a lot.
-
Thanks Minnow we been waiting for some of the more level headed folks that actually deal with US and is in the nation to speak up. Any one notice the majority of the post in here aren't from US players about what has happen. I think some of them need to just butt out of affairs that doesn't matter to there nation. Very well put post and I'll be honest pirates are willing to talk and help US in these times if they are willing to come to us and talk. We aren't going to make demands or take regions from you. We want ya'll to clean house and grow once more. I think this was a good thing for the nation to get to a spot where they can better do such. Ya'll know I been preaching for months the only way things will change is if the nations them selves make the changes. One of them is stop ridding on each other shirt tails. US will only be strong once more when it can fight for it self. How many times has pirates been down to one port or just one or two regions and bounced right back? I wish best of luck for ya'll and if it's just DD clan being a rogue clan and acting up we can deal with them. That just means easy pickings for PvP. We won't give you easy mode and this isn't PvP2 any more. It's a new game. Want to add early one of our guys saw several war ships escorting a trader (MARS CLAN). We think they might of been going to Bermuda, but this is exactly the things that shows improvements. Ya'll need to work as a team and become stronger. We where loosing traders left and right the first weeks in our own capital region cause of French/British Privateers raiding us, we put a stop to that by telling every one to get an escort or not to do trade in game prime time. Folks still get tagged here or there, but it does't happen as often as it did that first week or two. Hell I lost 2 trader brigs and a surprise the first week of the patch.
-
Yep, we see it all the time guys jump over to pirates. Find out it's not easy as they think cause they are now in the nation every one hates and than they roll back to who ever is the other biggest nation (tend to be US or GB depending who they came from). Though the IGG thing is not a instant switch. They been thinking of coming over for a good long time even before the patch. That port battle and how other clans acted just pushed them to make the final change. Now we have seen a few low levels from NPG and other clan come over too, but we this time have some nice small mid level clans that will pick them up. Before the patch we didn't have the extra small clans to do that so while not big, pirates are growing. We just aren't being stupid and rushing off to pick fights we aren't ready to fight yet.
-
And you didn't bother to read mine apaprently where we aren't planing to one port them. YOUR NATION IS DOING A GOOD ENOUGH JOB OF THAT. Though I don't see yo bitching at them. 1 - Yes it was to prove a point. Don't poke the sleeping bear that is better prepared than you and we had warned them over and over. Not to mention they should know better from PvP2. They had at that time over 10 ports so it wasn't like they had other ports. Kinda the same threat we gave WO that was attacking our capital region. We told them though we will take Cap Frances, but if they keep attacking our traders we will take PnP from you. They stopped and we didn't take PnP (didn't have planes to at that time cause french needed the gold/silver there). 2 - We aren't killing noobs, we are killing carebears RA running around trying to do there PvE. Since there apparently is no PvP left in US. Which means they need to stop trying to own every port around. Every fight I been in around CT has been against Surprises, Frigates and Connies not basic cutters.....all of which are guys that are up there in the top ranks. Now we do give some of the noobs credit as some of them are coming out and starting fights with us. Kinda cool they want to fight us and not hide in port. It's the same way in KPR. We see a lot of little guys come out and try to fight. We have even let these guys go after demasting them and haveing a little fun and teaching them how to manual sail. We prob do more for these nations than there own Vets every try to do. Come to Mort and attack one of our nations players and watch the responce team of mulit clans come out and run you off. This is what US and GB should be doing around there capitals, but instead they run off to some other regions and hide and not protect there own. Again why aren't you getting onto your own nation that one ported Spain and than now is taking US down to a few regions they have on east coast. You seem to be kinda blind on your view of things. We TOOK ONE REGION and only one. We have not raised any agro in any other US ports and don't plan to at this time, but you look at the US gulf regions and they all have agro from the British. So who is the one one porting who again?

“Being Prepared…” and Norfolk’s hard lesson
Sir Texas Sir replied to Norfolk nChance's topic in Guides - development forum
Knowing that and the fear some have when they hear it saved me more times than I can count. There is no whistle when you turn it off. I would pop it on and off and watch some one pull away from me suddenly a lot of time giving me that belly to put leaks in or turn into a good stern shot or even more line the mast up for me. Many times folks will pop there board prep when they hear some one else do it and now they have crews that will take more damage when I empty my broad side into them, turn off depower and push right past them or any chance to pull me. There a lot of dirty little tricks we can do like this. Even had another clan mate set up with grape on the weak side of a ship when I pop board on and than off....he graped the guy while I used full double charge/ball on the guy instead of boarding him....when you get them to drop crew they can't man guns or other things either. I'll add my 2 cents about something. The guns you had picked I keep all longs for OW PvP ships that aren't brawler. Though with the 24 lb and 18 lb combo if your going to brawl make the 24's M and the 18's L instead. The longs on the top deck has better range and accuracy when makeing shots cause some times if your turning or got a lot of roll your bottom deck will be shooting the water. The M/L combo on some guns and this works with 24/18's gives them all the same reload too. YOu heavy hitting guns are reloading as fast as the 18 longs do so you can give them a full broadside of all your guns not just one deck or the other. When your shooting some one from a distance just turn off the bottom deck and snip with the top deck. Save's your reloads for when you get closer and a better shot. I'm all about crew managment when I fight. It's my one good thing, to make up for my suckage at proper manual sailing.
