Remove Basic Cutters from PvP
Sir Texas Sir replied to Aventador's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
If the BR tag mechanics wasn't broken even if you brought a full 25 ships you shouldn't pull our fleet in any way. Right now the mechanics are broken and Devs are working on them. And this is only speaking of what the Brits brought. I have no clue what you numbers where but from what I saw was brigs to Connies so it wasn't exactly a big strong fleet in the first place. Not vs 24 1st rates and if ya'll had tagged us and brought all us into one battle than we where more than welcome to fight it out and sink all you, but be honest ya'll brought trash ships and ships to grief in and not fight? I mean there was a freaking Brig in my fight and that can't even get into the Port Battle. Now the fight me and Jean got into we aren't complaining about and he still made it into the Port Battle. I got the no click bug and was caught out side by three Brits. One was in a BRIG.....so your fleet came there with nothing other than to grief not fight. And you still didn't even do a good job of that. We still got into the port battle and won by US withdrawing even though they had the numbers and advantage of Forts and towers and time. The defender doesn't need 1000 points, they just have to prevent the other team from getting 1000 points. We either made sure any captured 1st rates was than sunk or recaptured. So other than the mortar brig and one first rate lost we did better than expected. We now have prime hunting grounds right on the back door of the US. We have no plans to conquest and push ports on them. We pick our ports for hunting and OW PvP. We have every thing we need to craft our SOL's and other ships right in Mort area. -
I put it more as boarder skirmishes to be honest. The best way to deal with Danes is to just ignore them and leave them to do there own thing.

Remove Basic Cutters from PvP
Sir Texas Sir replied to Aventador's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
Not that we could of just hit any random AI in the area and go the same results. All the while they could of joined the fight still. No one was stopping them from doing that. What I think is funny is the British are the ones bitching about this and it wasn't even there port battle. We did it simply cause we knew US could field 50 players with a PB fleet and screening fleet (think they had 25 PB and 16 screeners for sure so that is 40 players). We only had the 25 Port Battle fleet and a few low levels to pester them and scout. If the current broken BR tag mechanics we knew some idiots would just keep tagging us and keeping us in the battles instead of letting us get into the PB. Just look at the 16 vs 3 where they got three of us cause of our own ops. Half those ships where sunk with little damage to the two first rates. That is not something we are bitching about as it's part of the game. We brought 24 1st rates for a 1st rate port battle (with one mortar brig for the forts/towers) and we wanted just that not spend all night swatting nats. In another game I was part of the Mod staff we did an IP bane on a very toxic player. Turned out his College IP was matching about 50 other players we had ban at the same time too. So we had to just do an account ban of his char. So unless you have some only one IP that never changes it wouldn't work. Today this would mean if I ban ever one from Road Runner, Comcast, TimeWaner or any of the other big IP's in my area it would ban every one for the most part that uses those companies. That is why it's hard to ban alts unless you have actual proof to connect alts with the main accounts. It blows my mind how many of ya'll anti-alt folks don't even understand basic things like this. Than again they are some of the same folks that don't understand how a lag switch actually works and thinks folks are using Ping Hacks for there crappy connection on potato computers on sub par servers on a game still in development. Your going to crash and lag out once in a while. -
But the Dane's can't field a full PB during US/GB prime time. It's actually very helpful on the Danes side since they are currently going back and forth with French. Which isn't a bad mix up. Same with French vs Dutch they are very equally matched up. The problem comes that France is doing a 500000 front war right now and that never works out. That is why we left them alone in the center after we took Cap Frances. No reason to take there ports and they worked for a great buffer between us and the Brits. Was also a good PvP zone and well cause of two clans agreement got some pesky Privateers our of our back yard. That agreement was between clans not nations after all. We all along expected them to loose to the Brits in that region.
-
That is the same type of thing, but it's not unfair when you do it now is it?
-
Oh I have no problem with that one, ya'll did exactly what I expected you to do. Keep me tagged in and busy and I did what I had to. Run in a straight line and hope my sails keep my speed up and my stern to protect my crew. Oh and not ya'll fault but wanted to point out some reason I couldn't tag on the port battle cross swords or city to get the battle entry screen last night. Even tried the F11 off and on thing as it was apparently still open. That was why I got left out after the other fight. Even tried to home key out to click on them but got nothing when I clicked on them. Hell wasn't even getting ship info when I clicked on a ship. Was an odd bug, but the running fight gave me time to make that F11 report, go get a plate of dinner left overs and enjoy them while expected more to have popped in on that tag.

Dude your so hypocritical it's silly. So attacking France during there off times when they can only field 9 ships is any better? Attacking there deep water port on the other side of the map when they can't field a full SOL group isn't the same? We didn't go to screen to support the french we went to screen a much larger nation that was attacking a small nation that couldn't defend them selves. US is not a small nation it's the largest before patch nation which now has prob moved to the second largest nation. They had enough last night to fill the port battle and another 25 out side screening. It's not are fault they spend all there time bickering and fighting to make a decent fleet to protect there home water. When have you seen french field more than just a prime time 25 fleet in their home waters? This was US home waters, if they can't protect their own ports than they don't need them. Than again we all know the US is just a colony of the Brits now, hell it's all ways has been.

We came for a Port Battle, that is still PvP, ya'll had over 25 so why didn't ya'll take the fight to the port battle? Oh cause ya'll wouldn't won cause you gave up before it even started. The problem is the tag mechanics in this game is broken right now. A few frigates should not be able to pull a 25 1st rate fleet into a battle but they can right now. If ya'll had a full 25 screen fleet out there (not counting when brits showed) we would of very much had just fought you and had fun, but we didn't want to have our time wasted by a bunch of griefing crappy store bought ships. If you noticed my post above me and Jean fought our group. We porb would of sunk a few more but the guys stayed at long rang and just just tagged us in. I give props to the guys that did sink. They where the ones that got in close and fought us. While most of the big guys stayed at long range or on our sterns. You don't see me and Jean bitching about that. That was our own dang fault we got tagged into that fight cause of some communication issues with leaving a battle and such. If ya'll wanted to have equal grounds fight 25 vs 25 you would of meet us in battle in the port. I know ya'll have way more 1st rates than that and remember you have the forts and towers on your hands along with the time it takes to cap the circles. Defenders don't have to make 1000 points, they just need to prevent the other team from doing so. 18 vs 25 and ya'll left the battle without shots fired. What does that tell us about ya'll? As for the friendly US alt tag. Every one of ya'll could of joined that fight too, same with any pirate vs pirate fights. Ya'll could of joined those fights too after you got us separated and fought in OW. Me and Jean where 3 vs 16 and we still fought. We told the Mortar Brig to run. Didn't expect it to live, but it did blow up and hurt the Reno that chased it down. They are cheap I'll make sure that one is replaced, but cause of the US stayed at distances and didn't take advantage of there numbers they did little harm to me and Jean. Jean took most the blunt damage cause he had the slower of the two ships. Oh and since US is now a sub nation of the Brits have fun with your over lords. We expected a nice big screening fleet, but wasn't expecting ya'll to coward out and make deals with some one that declared war with you. Which to every one else was just a port flip deal and nothing more.
-
They had numbers as this isn't even counting the screening fleets out side. They have the means to make 1st rates and SOL, it's not our fault they have not made enough and they have the numbers to screen without the British help. Again many of them as they did back on PvP2 brought crappy ships. We don't bring crap to fights, this is why they loose fights cause they can't get that in there head. I had 8 1st rates and several other SOL's, with all the frigates and the towers/forts helps they should of easy been able to beat us as we where out number. They didn't even try, they just gave up the port and left. Anouther reason they don't win. Oh and as for the port battle timer at midnight EST. That is 11pm for me an 9pm for any one PST on a Saturday night on a US holiday weekend. It wasn't like we did the port battle at noon or some off prime time. That is still a very prime time. We could of been dicks an did it after server reset where we know that US never has had a very strong SEA/AU numbers. You know like British did with the French. Again the two largest nations had over 50 players show up to stop 25+ guys and still failed.
-
So what was the count last night? I know got back the 1st rates that got captured and lost a few ships in the screening fights, but how many did US and GB loose? I know in mine and Jean's fight we lost our Morter Brig, which that player expected to loose. Did go out in a boom which I thought was funny. Need to get that guy a fireship fitting now. Though between me and Jean we killed 7 US ships and both got out with a few scratches and than the three brits that tagged me didn't get me down below 70% repair. Oh and just to let yo know I messed up and only had one set of rum and sail repair so in that last fight i had no repairs and they still couldn't take me down and I'm just an average player at this game. Suck at 1 vs 1's for the most part.
-
We where actually shooting for a bit early, but you know 1st rates are slow as hell on the OW getting up there and than well the lack of fleets is getting annoying. Though that is still 9pm PST for our West Coast guys that normally don't get on in time for the early port battles and well it's a Holiday weekend for most of the US players.
-
Devs said as long as the person be fired upon doesn't mind or reports it than it's ok. We had some one try this on us when we caught there group of trincs with an aggy. We got the aggy, but they where trying to catch it on fire and sink it before we swarmed it.
-
Do you ever get out of port or something man? DD has been around for a good while now, they aren't a Newbie clan. Agro was raised several times on the Keywest but Pirates from several clans have been hunting that area and grind it down every time. Even some British have brought the agro up, but we think that was just them doing PvP and not trying to flip it. You seem to be living in some dream world man. Do you even PvP or RvR? I can't remember the last time I seen you in a screen shot of either. I'm going to take it your either some ones alt or your one of those PvE guys that sit in the back and make excuse's for every thing. US is the second largest nation in game even after the two clans left. There is no excuse for them to not have a SOL fleet to defend there ports. We only number 15-20 guys average in our clan and every one has one or more 1st rates all ready. Maybe if they would of stopped pestering folks and actually built up there economy and not worried about a bunch of empty ports they would have a bunch of SOL's too. It's been over a month since patch came out....now you guys know what we been doing while every thing has been silent on the pirate home front. As for the time of the port battle most of them tend to favor Easter US time zone. So we though we set it later for the western guys and since this is 4th of July weekend and it's a Saturday there shouldn't be a reason folks can't stay up a little bit to get on. We also did it later for the SEA/AUS guys to have an early port battle too.

While it's not the same as my pre-patch IRON WOOD Victory, but I brought one pretty close to being that tuff. I'll save the Iron Wood Aggy for a 4th rate. There was way more than DD clan attacking those ports and at those port battles so don't try to put it on one clan. We saw and caught many other clans too. If was a US Congress approved attacks than y'all should of asked to parlay with us and make peace. We warned you and you keep attacking. We understand if it's a rogue clan here or there, but our battle logs and reports prove other wise.

This will be playing tomorrow for ya'll at the port battle.

LOL that kinda cracked me up when I saw that. Well if you leave them alone they do kinda just go take a nap and leave you alone back. -
Just to left you know I get the same rewards from solo 1st rates vs 3rd rate or 4th. It's cheaper to run the 3rd rate cause of bounced shots and repairs Comp aired to the others. I than take 4th rare Agfa in the 4rd 2nd and 1st rate battles and got more co but same gold amount of 40k. If I do a 3rd rate and get two 5th rates I get about 60k. So it's. It profitable to grin big ships. Worse is if you do fleets with friends you get even less so a lot of guys are solo fleets. Sharing rewards right now hurts team play. No one wants to grind in groups other than for Argo cause it plitw the rewards to much. Than you have pvp. Where the taggers or borders get little to no reward cause they didn't get enough damage for assist/kills. I'm making little to nothing in pop now other than the thrill of the hunt/fight and that is an issue. High risk little to no reward isn't going to get more folks out PVPing

Demasting
Sir Texas Sir replied to Jean Pual Vilvenue's topic in Patch Feedback and General discussions
The reason that every one was going after mast after patch was cause it's the fastest way to slow down all these fail fit speed boats. Ships like that should have fragil mast, but with the constant repairs they can keep there mast above any thing that slows them down much. I'm with every one else that the pre-patch thickness was about right just need to add more HP for the mast. Maybe make the base more HP's over the top sections. The other thing cannons need to loose accuracy at a distance and we need to revert back the super sniper laser stern guns to the same accuracy as all the other guns. -

Make it so only the tradres can be pulled in. That keeps from from using Fleets when they attack some one. Since these are suppose to be 1 vs 1 FFA's for the most part.

whispers.....paint chest redeemables for all..... I was getting some lag glitching last night on Global too while in OW. Though I just played that off cause of a local storm, but what up with the servers and it's not the locations cause they are in two different places. -
To all Captains are you tiered of a empty Server join EU
Sir Texas Sir replied to Lonar's topic in Caribbean News
A fee weeks ago it was pretty much even numbers during Global prime time, but GLOBAL been pretty solid on it's numbers during all the prime times. I'm going to bet we are going to start to see more and more players come over. Really what is holding the US players and other none EU to play over there? It's not like they can't just make a new clan on the other server and hell they might even find some new friends. I have chars on all servers just in case I want to pop over to the other one and have some fun on my off hours. Do it man, it's not going to hurt anything to have chars on all the servers. You might even find some fun on it when it's slower on the other servers. Hell might even find out that not being over crowded in some regions is actually a good thing.
