  1. I now at least one clan mate with a 740 (none laptop) it's not a great card, but you can still play. Might have to keep the setting turned down a bit though. Going off the store page he should be fine. It's his CPU that is the thing that might give him problems, but I don't think he will see much problems other than maybe in big fights and such. Let us know what server and nation and if you need any help.   2. I get folks have to move on and other things come up, but I do think we need some new active moderators on the servers. Not sure if EU has active ones as I tend to pop on there at odd slow times (Sunday mornings for me) and I pretty much never go onto PvE server. It would be nice to bring in some new mods so folks know there is a presence and it might help keep some of the toxic nature of chat that pops up once in a while down just knowing that there might be some one watching.
  3. In this phase they always should of had one server until they where ready to release. Never been on a game still in alpha that run mulit servers other than a pre-test and than the live server. They can always split things after release and add more servers as they go or needed. There is something that isn't working if the server with the most pop right now has folks complaining about PvP when the lower pop server is getting a lot of pvp. We tend to keep a constant number of players through out the day too other than around server down time. A constant number of players around the clock is better than a big spike during only a small few hour window in my book. Maybe they are doing the new nations only to test mechanics so folks won't freak out when they are implemented into other nations. Like it would be a great mechanics with other things for PIrates to have. No real home capital other than the one we make for the nation. As a pirate player I thought we where suppose to be hard core mode? More like we are just a bastard red headed step child of a nation. Lets see how things go on next week.
  4. Have you checked the sloted port battles for tomorrow? LOL And US was bitching we only attack them.
  5. On global I think those new nations will get a few players and alts and that is it. IT's the EU server with players from those nations that going to fill them up. I'm pretty sure the Devs did it to make those players happy. Since they tend to do a lot to make EU players happy while forgetting about the rest of there player base and number one sales of the games.....
  6. I'll also add it prob didn't help the US rolling up to Cayo when we flipped it with 30+ ships most of them SOL's. Proven they have a fighting force. So guess where our attention went? St aright to the US. Brits haven't done this yet, but they are creeping up a bit to close to our waters for there own good.
  7. Sadly I'll be bluntly honest about this one. CAUSE THEY ARE SO SPREAD OUT. It's hard to get things set up and most the time it ends up in taking empty port after empty port and folks get bored. While the US stays mostly in one area it's easier to get folks to show up and fight them. The other problem is every time we turn to fight the BRITS the US goes after our week side. We can't fight two front wars like that with our numbers so if some one keeps attacking us we are going to keep attacking them back too. Though it seems US might have been getting a bit wiser to things now (thing it helps having other clans now in charge than NPG) that constantly attacking some one that beats you ever time pretty much isn't the best thing. We are honestly trying to leave your ports alone in Norther Bahama and trying to encourage other nations to come play in that area too. We offer up Nassau as a port to fight over, but if ya'll keep attacking our lower Bahamas ports I'll promise you we will go after your upper Bahama ports. One nation owning all the Shallows is bad as than no one has anything to hunt. And to get things straight we have attacked Major Brit ports in the past and held them. This doesn't mean we won't in the future. It just takes longer to get the logistics to do such and not be spread out to thin. British biggest weakness is how spread out they are. We all found that out last patch when we did go after the Brits. I'll remind you we only took two US ports. How many Brit ports did we take? We took over half there ports and than some....so don't say we never attack the Brtis. US got off very easy RvR wise last map.
  8. But if we get Barbary Pirates I want that xebec in game for them.....I would so reroll one of my pirates just for that.
  9. 3 was honestly to much cause your going to see the big clans/nations jumping all over the place with no more travel other than using a basic cutter to set up a port. Some small clan tries to hit the out of the way port of a big clan...>BANG INSTANT ARRIVAL OF THE DEATH FLEET< Which would normally not been staged in that area. I honestly think those three nations should not be new player start nations. Nor should Pirates. Pirates should only be gained by doing something in game (like how we use to turn pirate from a Nation). Than give a means for folks to maybe return to or join a new nation (hint the forge papers) that can be earned in game. You can get into Shroud Cay with a deep water ship, but I believe you get stuck if you exit port. Maybe open that up. Right now you can get into Arthur's Town and George's Town with deep water ship. You use to be able to get into Crown Haven with one too. Maybe add one or more ports that are shallow but can get deep water ships in. I think the concept is though is to start small and work up to something bigger by capturing ports.
  10. I would love to see Battle of Pea Ridge. Got family on dads side that live in that area and well we had members that fought in the that battle too. Would be interesting to see it in game.
  11. The split was actually not a bad thing, but they mis judged the wind when they joined and popped right next to use so many of them where sitting ducks right next to fully loaded ships. I prob would of had three caps if I had slowed down in time and the first one would of been one of those guys stuck cause of the wind. Starting to think I need to bring a board fit l'ocean next time lol
  12. Yah a coms for all friendly clans would be nice but did think of a problem since some clans don't have the same friendly list it would be hard to pick who to chat to and not. Maybe make a custom so you can click on friendly clans you want in that convo and they can join?
  13. Cayo Biscayno SOL Port Battle: 25 US vs 25 Pirates with Pirates wining the Attack. Only half the US fleet joined the fight at the start and than they waited until we where between A and C circle. We got a heads up that they where coming in from our spotters out side. So I called battle sails. The second part of the fleet popped in right next to our fleet. Order was than to begin PIRATE BRAWL. The fighting was mainly between A and B until end of battle. 3 Pirates lost 10 US lost (one was after battle timer was over). 2 ships where captured (I scuttled the second one I captured) out of the 10. I do believe one more was lost out side after the battle. Nassau Port battle was a no show for the US side. We have about 10 guys in that one. I didn't get a screen shot so can't post. I'll add it if some one has a copy.
  14. After the wipe we where also locked out of port battles from almost 3 months in US prime time on GLOBAL server so that prob had a big deal to do with it too. Why did it take them 4 months to fix the prot battle timers lock out on a server that shouldn't have had them any way expect around maintenance time? Though if it was on the EU server you bet they would jump right to it.
  15. That doesn't answer who is the biggest player, yes they bought the most games, but they aren't the top players keeped. Than you got to ask why do they stop playing and leave?
  16. And who is the biggest? I'm going to take a bet it's prob not the US? So why are you having such retention lost on the largest buyer group of the game. I can prob come up with a few good guess as to why.
  17. Ok I was going to say you killed 50% of the OW PvP with this cause we have most of it when folks are trying to get or leave a port for a port battle. Now you say it's instant. Screw that crap. Now your going to see big nations just gank the crap out of any small fleets cause they can instantly send there fleet to the hot spots.
  18. You know something got to be wrong when I have to agree with you once more in maybe even the same month. I'm with Willis remove the 15 cap and make it a percentage. Start maybe at 10-15% or even 20% and see what you get. That lets the speed ships be actual speed ships and the ships that shouldn't be flying will be limited by there base speed not some cap. What is the current speed cap max? I think devs said something like 22% currently, but if you take the cap off and lower that 22% than you can better balance it.

From 1689-1693, the island was controlled by Brandenburg-Prussia as the "Isle of Crabs" So should we add Scottish nation too? Hell the Pirates held Nassau for 12 years, Prussia only controlled that island for years. Though wasn't that more as a trade hub not really anything else? Though I do think Pirates should been the ones to test this new country with no capital thing that leads into maybe more pirate mechanics and have them work as Privateers for other nations if they want to get into RvR stuff or they just remain OUTLAWS/Pirates. Than gain just think of all the butt hurt pirates that would not have a capital (we would just pull back to Kidd's and keep that one is all.)
  20. @admin @Ink I got to thinking about this and is willing to change one of my chars over to test this. It would be my none pirate char since he's not doing much. Though I would only want to do this if I can change his name. Is there any way that ya'll can look at giving a one time name change without loosing xp and all that along with the forge papers. Cause you know I would like to pick a name more related to his new nation instead of what he has. Ya'll really should look into name changed papers as in the future folks will prob be more than willing to pay for name changes along with the nation change papers when the game goes live. And what are the three countries. I seen memtion of Prussia and Polish Commonwealth or something but what is the other country? I would actually had expected Portugal to have been one of the three nations instead of a bunch of EU nations that never even had a naval influence in the area other than maybe some trade ships.

I get the problem with the certain other nations over in the Dane/Swede waters, but I was coming out of Cayo De Sol the other day a port us pirates own on GLOBAL and notice it's in the reiforcement zone for spain. Glad those guys are on our good side for now or that would suck. They just have to tag one of us and than call in. Some thing we found out about St Mary on Day one of the patch. We had plan to flip that port utnil some one found out it was in the protected zone. No ports that can't be captured should be in these zones. So they need to drop a few nations (not add more or make those the new nations) or make the circles smaller to only cover zones that are none captureable. Lets see how the next patch goes.
  22. Just wanted to add HYRDA had some guys that left too. Poor AIB, we have to remember they are a Brazilian clan and most of them don't speak very good English (hell neither do I and I"m american). So we weren't able to talk to them until after the port was flipped about the agreement about off hour flips between BLACK/VCO and ARMED. That was also there very first port battle. They have a nice large force and we hope they don't give up at the lost. They can prob be a good clan to fight with once they get more experience PvP under there belt. They been good about always sending a few guys that are on to help us out when they can and we would of helped but for the agreement. Any other clan other than ARMED we would of pileled in and helped them no matter the numbers, but like I told some folks, "We have to loose a few before you start winning them. It's good for them to get their feet wet in that battle." Until they locked the dang slots I wanted before the last patch or even before the wipe to do 25 vs 25 LGV's. They are cheap any one can capture one and back when they had open slots every one had three slots (well 6 total) to work with. Though I'll admit mine would be board fit with fireship mods on it lol
  23. now that you can put guns on them it really doesn't matter. I have a bunch of Prince I can just leave the guns off them honestly. But this is only if it's open world if it's a prot battle I could bring a ungun LGV or for a 4th rate or above Port Battle. Which honestly that is what this is going to turn into. Than since they will try to get other GB clans to support them VCO will get the support of the other Pirates clans too. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing two like size clans go at it with no support from there other clans in the nations for once.
  24. I agree with this it's easy to make combat marks. That means you just have to go out and do a few fights and you have them, but money shouldn't be the main currency for things like this. You need combat marks to reset your perks, than why not to move a ship. We have 7 class of ships so maybe 7 tiers of cost. 7th Rates: 25 CM or 20 CM cheapest 10 CM 6th Rates: 50 CM 40 CM 20 CM 5th Rates: 75 CM 60 CM 30 CM 4th Rates: 100 CM 80 CM 40 CM 3rd Rates: 125 CM 100 CM 50 CM 2nd Rates: 150 CM 120 CM 60 CM 1st Rates: 175 CM 140 CM 70 CM I'm more liking the middle option making them 20 CM per tier of ship. I would still limit it to one ship per day though. I'll give a prime example of why. I have 5 Victories (and one captured l'Ocean) on my main Pirates, I have 3 L'Oceans (and one captured) on my Second Pirate. These ships are spread out in the fields we are fighting and defending in. I only have the 12 ships slots open on each of those chars right now so the rest of my ships are 6-4th rates. If I have tow to port I wouldn't need to keep all these ships spread out all over the place. I can just see a port flip send a basic cutter over to that port and tow it and it will get the ship there ready for the prot battle the next day. No one will catch me trying to get my ship to port in the OW (one of those captured ships I have was captured after a port battle....not during it). That is a lot of our big ship OW PvP is folks moving ships to a port battle for deference or attack or retreating. By taking that out you are killing more and more OW PvP. While I can see this helps the causal guy that moves a ship here are there and only has a few, but most those causal's aren't big on PvP/RvR either. That is why I said make it cost Combat Marks and limit it to one ship per day. If you have multi ships you do it it the old fashion way move them in OW. Some other limits this should not work in any neutral ports or ports open to other nations. You should only be able to move ships from your nations captured ports to another. Hell I would love it if it was limited to only clan owned ports. The ship has to have no cargo in it. This prevents Trade ships from moving cargo. You can keep the cannons on it, just no cargo allowed. Maybe allowed repairs but nothing else. Hell most folks just ship cannons to a port and open a WASA in those ports.
  25. I would love to see some more events like even an actual Treasure fleet. You get random event where you have to go in and attack a fleet with Indmans/LGV's . They have chest in them that you can either take on your ship and run (if you have the cargo) or capture the trader and than defend it as you try to get it escape. Once the battle is open it's open to all so any one can join and try to help you defeat the fleet or even worse steal the goods once it's all done with. Pretty much have green on green allowed in these fights.
