Make Marines make sense

By equipping marines you decide which % of crew is sailors and which % of crew is marines. It somewhat replicates the decision of hiring a bigger marine complement. Captains choice basically the quality of marines its all the same eventually this upgrade will be disbanded and replaced by just hiring marines in port (not a promise but it might happen0 -
I apologize for such question but how did you get your first rate? Do you still have other ships Captain? most players who have a first rate have a Bellona as well and most likely a second rate. what do you mean 1/10 of the money or xp? Why don't are you not taking the admiral level fleet missions they give awesome rewards

У нас нет эффективных манагеров и косноязычных продюсеров так как мы сами и кодим и рисуем и вам на вопросы отвечаeм. Hello Captains Patch will be deployed next week (hopefully) In this patch the PVP EU Three server will be closed down and merged into PVP EU One. All resources and assets will be compensated and/or merged into PVP EU One as redeemables. Resources merged into PvP EU 1 Gold Resources from warehouses Ships Upgrades Known blueprints Outposts and buildings will be lost but the price of construction or upgrades will be compensated in gold Important points for players from PVP EU 3 (this info does not concern players from all other servers) Assets are transferred automatically, you don't have to do anything Assets are transferred to account - not as players. If you wanted to change the name or nation - its a good chance to do it. All merged assets will be given to as redeemables If you had 200 various types of resources, ships, items you will have 200 redeemables in your list. To minimize the redeemables list feel free to optimize your warehouses selling assets you don't need. Merged assets are provided for server account. It does not matter if you have a player on EU 1 or not If you don't have a player on PVP EU 1 you can create a player and he will have all merged assets from the EU 3 server in the redeemables list If you have a player on PVP EU 1 he will have all merged assets in the redeemable list Deleting vs creating players Do not use redeemables if you are not sure about the existing player his nation and his name If you don't have a player you don't have to worry about the assets - create the player and redeem the assets If you do have the player please think carefully about using the redeemables. Better be sure if you want to play for that nation or keep that name Suggestion for safety Do not use the redeemables until you are absolutely sure about nation choice - keep them in the redeemables list. Un-used redeemables are tied to account and will always be on the redeemables list. Please translate this information for the national forums. Be careful as these instructions are important. TLDR version All assets will be merged as redeemables Do not use redeemables until you made up your mind about the nation and player name Lets discuss if everything is clear and we will post this announcement on steam as well. There will be no wipe - please stop listening to rumors about wipes. Wipes if happen will be announced 30 days in advance. The next wipe that will happen (dont know when) will only reset all ports to neutral on pvp servers, nothing else will be affected. Also. No one knows anything special - even mods. No special information was given to anyone. As usual keep expectations low and you might be pleasantly surprised. Basically always expect the worst something like this "this game will fail as all indie games. Ship combat is good and will get better, the rest will only get worse" ps several old timers (most of them also volunteer mods) were asked to test the bugs on two new ships before the patch, to see if they are not broken and can actually perform before given to testers. We found lately that users dont like broken things during alphas (strangely).

You said verbal abuse is rampant and people dont feel protected - this is incorrect information Verbal abuse is fought harshly and people are getting banned for verbal abuse - you said people feel they cant do anything.. but they can. and they do. We get a lot of reports daily. Second point.. If you feel that the developers don't listen or don't care you are very wrong delusional (sorry for being direct). We have delivered 3 big content patches, 15+ patches and numerous hotfixes over the last three months. If you feel it is not enough - there is nothing we can do for you. 50% of in game ships were proposed by players. many features get into the game because they were proposed by players Perhaps you were spoiled by star citizen daily patches or whoever else does daily patches and listen to players like we do I personally believe that you are just bitter because some pirates saved 2 of virtual pixels because they can attack each other. They could do it for the last 3 months why it was not a problem in Jan or Feb or March or April why in may suddenly its a problem? We don't do retroactive bans if rule was not in place. We understand that its annoying but we have higher priorities to handle now. TLDR We are not going to ban retroactively based on the user requests if no rule was present. Pirates could and can attack pirates and thats how it worked before and still works this way. The rules regarding hiding in battles was changed - rules allow you to punish the real flag offender. Fixing this is impossible because other priorities are getting done. We wasted 2 weeks in february listening to players who asked for queues and afk kicks, and other things; not making this mistake anymore. We have a game to make. Pirates will get a complete overhaul - no point to fix anything to related to them now - it will be a waste of time. If we ban for everything that is created by design holes or using unfinished features 50% of users will have to be banned including a lot of members of the reporters clan who raised the issue.- 31 replies

CTRL H disables all unnecessary visuals - except for sector and aiming line. Try playing with it. game looks beautiful then You will also play like a real captain relying only on audio visual clues. Wind - by flags and ensigns Yards by looking at your ship Damage by looking at your ship Cannons by gunner's whistles Enemy reloads by enemy whistles Ctrl H is awesome because it allows those who like health bars to play with them while giving players like you a so called hardcore mode..

Which swift tribunals on pirate using pirates as shields were resolved and punishments were issued? I remember none, this rule is still uncleared. You have to change the perspective on game development Captain. Once you change it it will be easier for you to have fun and enjoy what you have. Part 1 There are cleared rules and there are uncleared rules. Cleared rules is when the community has voted/decided that something is bad. After it was decided that its bad we add helping things into design or game tools. Uncleared rules is when there is no decision yet on something is bad. We are not going to ban anyone for uncleared rules. Just because you think something is exploit or abuse does not make it an exploit. Pirates can attack pirates thats not an exploit. Pirates using pirates as shield an exploit - maybe- maybe not. Maybe it just needs fixing Perhaps some of you veterans forgot about Insta teleports without casting time that allowed to escape battles Exit from game without cooldowns allowing exiting the world immediately taking the ship off the map Multiple bugs with the OW allowing creative things to happen during chases Stopping reinforcements and farming them because stop command made them ignore the enemy Explorer module that existed on some ships until the first wipe last year Ships with multiple reload mods (for example 5 reload mods or 5 accuracy mods) that existed until the second wipe last year All this was eventually fixed. But some of those things were used by good captains including US/British captains who used them because they existed. Mechanics that did not serve any other purpose were removed. Maybe we should talk about some other potential unresolved issues (uncleared rules) ? Why you are not pressing to ban all US port battle participants who exploited lack of spanish timers (from the opinion of the spanish of course)? Why you are not pressing bans for British lord protectors who exploit timers against the French (from the opinion of the French of course) Why you are not pressing bans for compass wood trade (clearly broken right?) from the viewpoint of all who does not trade compass wood Why you are not pressing bans for all who spend more than 1 second in battle result screen? And where do we stop? Some of the mechanics still remain because fixing them wastes time, no point to fix the dying feature if it is going to be replaced by something else (and better) anyway. You are all proposing to fix the dying feature and waste everyone's time taking it away from diplomacy or fishing. This all brings us to a second point Part 2 The game is in development. Its in early access. Some things are broken and will be broken for a while. You had the chance to vote on the development priorities. Changing green on green mechanics was not even proposed by players. We are now focused on merging servers, finishing some of the unfinished things from previous patch and multiple other cleaning things in preparation for alliances in the future. Just one more thing Captains. There is an alternative Stop updating the main servers Open a test server Invite only those few who can handle the fact that some of the mechanics are unfinished. But not sure if it is needed Because all current servers are test servers and you all know the game is not finished and some things are broken and you actually can influence the development. If you understand that and change the perspective to - this is a test early access server and many things are broken- you will suddenly start having more fun. Abuse verbally? Report them they will be banned Cant take verbal abuse - report, then add to ignore, if the abuse was severe he will be banned. A lot of bans are issued weekly every friday and even more warnings are given The post is coming about it in news. The funny thing is happening with bans - more on that later. -
You are providing wrong information. Don't do that please That guy was wiped because 1) He was damage farming actively advertising it in game chat and inviting everyone to do it 2) Unfortunately for him one of the devs was present in that battle 3) The dev asked the person to stop doing that and warned about consequences 4) Instead of calmly accepting that warning and moving on the person attacked the dev verbally first in game then on forums Now that person was not wiped for damage farming. He was punished because he ignored multiple warnings and actually abused the developer even after it was really proven that it was a developer. The developer (who was not a pro community manager like all of us) was very upset and she left western forums after that, losing hope in the so called friendly and helpful community. Damage farming rule was issued after that. And even then not many people were reset because of damage farming, only those who really abused it and were actually reported and continued doing it after warnings. In the future please avoid making up stuff about us. We are very careful about what we say in public and always tell the truth so we don't have to remember what we said, and don't have to be afraid that someone will catch us. This saves a lot of time, but some users hate this. .

Please read clause 8 of these rules http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/2346-forum-and-sea-trials-rules Regarding the punishment. rule have been changed real enemy flag issue is not going to be a problem any more players wont be able to hide under the green on green rule - just sink them if they exhibiting real flag behavior (are in the same clan with the enemy and help them). false flag attacks are still not allowed -

this topic is about pirate attacking pirate problem - but for some reason it was mixed it with chat issues and even some other suspicions your chat comments and proposals based on chat will not be taken into account. Because chat behaviour is not a tribunal matter. System to handle chat is in place for a long time and it works. For the system it does not matter if you say something out of anger or frustration or you were really attacking someone, or if you were responding to someone. System works so well that the majority of negative reviews are about chat bans lately and we are considering changing it a bit (will post on that later) Regarding the green on green and pirate on pirate. The complaints player made have been taken into account and green on green rules have been adapted, green on green wont protect them anymore - just sink them both if an amended rule requirements are fulfilled. -

Ellis i dont understand if you are trolling or not. what is getting ignored? Chat behavior is handled by report function/ignore function more than 20 players are banned weekly for things they say - some permanently. Punishment will always reach the perpetrator. Because on chat the rules have been forged and molded. We are not discussing chat behavior here regarding the attack and green on green tribunal's Rule have been adapted.. Did you proceed to the link I posted. Did you read it? -

Your opinion translation (that's how i read it): ban then but not me, they are bad guys and cant say "dumb and stupid" but our guy is a good guy so he can say whatever he wants if he feels anger and annoyance. Wait.. applying double standards should not be a choice of yours. Because it will be a poor choice. We asked for your opinion but your opinion was biased and we respectfully will not take it into account. But anyway.. chat bans are handled by the report function and by ignore function. This topic is not about the chat behaviour.. we are not allowing chat ban discussions in tribunal -

I think you have misread my request. I asked to bring those tribunal matters to tribunal topics. Because it is a rule that only involved parties are allowed to comment. We have not asked to provide the punishment proposals because players usually overreact and will usually ban everyone on the opposite side For example you proposed the clear and simple ruling = ban. There is a difference between a false flag and a real flag False flags Green on green is supposed to defend people from false flag attacks - where you really expect him to be a friendly but he sinks you. Real flags But in cases mentioned here there was no false flag. They were clearly enemies and they were just present on your side because battle entry mechanics allowed that - and they wanted to save the ship and you wanted to sink them. Green on green former rules did not handle such scenario.. and it was a problem. Rules has been modified http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/2346-forum-and-sea-trials-rules/ Green on Green protection is off from now on in cases where its clear that the Captain is operating as an enemy flag even if he is on your side (because of mechanics) If a friendly ship belongs to a clan on the opposing side in the battle on the open world and if this friendly ship interferes with combat (and does not actually fuilfill his duty to destroy the enemy) then this ship can be sank with no consequences. This is a temp solution and will be fixed once alliances patch hits. (you will get an xp hit because we cannot differentiate real vs false flag) but changes in ROE will solve the problem in the future. This will soften the problem until we fix battle entry and pirate vs pirate roles.
