That's really odd. It was likely added by the third party company that writes the forums. Perhaps there is an option in the administrative section to add "reasons" for reporting posts. Your reports are still getting through, and I don't think we even see the checked reason shown there. Funky.

Thanks for the advice. Constructive, on topic criticism is and has always been accepted on the forums. Off topic posts in feedback threads, trolling, calling the developers or their work names, are usually met with similarly negative results. Constructive feedback is welcome. Unconstructive feedback, insults, or similar is not.

That's very helpful Crusty. Thank you. So are you proposing PvE maybe having large fleet battles that players could join and fight in? Are there other content suggestions that probably wouldn't take a ton of coding that you could recommend?

I'm honestly curious - if you don't want to PvP, why do you play on the PvP server? I play on PvE mostly because I don't have a lot of time to play and end up in a big PvP scrum at the moment. I'm not saying "get gud or play PvE", I just don't think most of us understand why you would play on a PvP server and complain that there are other players out to kill you.

Often the problem with locking a thread and leaving it up is that the content of that thread get spread all over the forums and require even more moderation. You are paying to skip time, not to get a superior ship. I don't like paid ships that are better than in game ships - they should have pros and cons just like the crafted ships. I also don't like paying for ships that are only 5 uses for example. A purchased asset needs to retain value or no-one will purchase it. The ship is pre-crafted as part of the "skip time" value. Perhaps it would be better to have a cool-down when the ship is destroyed instead of instant regeneration every 24 hours. Maybe 1 day per rating (inverted - e.g. a 6th rate has a 1 day cool down, 5h rates, 2 days, a 1st rate, 6 days). When the ship is destroyed, you have to wait the correct number of real world days before you can regenerate it.

Everyone is listened to. Those that choose to flame, troll, argue, or post non-constructively in feedback topics (especially those that have been around and know better) receive brief breaks for wasting the developers time. You can see tons of posts that are critical of the patches and of various features that remain up and are being discussed. Claims that dissenting opinions are silenced aren't supportable given the evidence that can be immediately seen at hand.

I'm not sure this rises to the level of tribunal, but I'll point it out to the Devs.

My understanding is that differentiation for icons will occur in a future update. For now, using the search function is your best bet to quickly narrow down what you're looking for (I even do this in Windows to open files and programs that I want, I rarely use the windows application popup any more).

lol I love lasers because they're crank as hell - when it's gusty, you're constantly feathering the sheet and at times hiking your body out perpendicular to the deck. It's like dancing on a razor's edge between going fast and getting dumped into the water.

I grew up cruising and racing a Catalina 25, my father still owns a newer model. Also have match raced Lasers in the local lake with the local sailing club. Past that, have sailed a Frosty and a Sabot, and a small collection of Hobie Catamarans in the neighborhood of 21ft or so. The largest private sailboat I've been on was a Tartan 44 owned by a friend of the family. Here was an outing from a while back in the Laser. It was really gusty that day, I ended up walking the side a couple of times when my sheet became fouled.

Chat insults can be reported by right clicking the person's name on the insult and clicking "Report". Upon receiving enough reports, the person is silenced forever. Report and ignore as a start. I'll refer this thread to see if the insults rise to the level of immediate action. Thank you.
