    I did not say that. That's MMO. Without avatars. To clarify - i'm fine if that's all about player portrait. For example-during trade. For me it can be even Klingon, if this is to increase sales and ultimately - development of the game. But - I do not want to see such far detachment from historical facts, like female officers in sexy clothes, on board of Navy ships.

    It is sad that the common sense that was seen in the original game announcements, in the future will be probably beaten by "popular demand"/"political correctness". For example - the complete omission of avatars, regardless of gender and focus on real game. There are hundreds of games where you can dress up your characters.     I can only guess, but if galleys will be implemented in NA, then it will be Baltic boats used by Swedish and Russian navies.

    I don't see big difference between "this" & "NOT this". Both are historically inaccurate. By the way, that's Naval Action, not twenty-first century fantasy vision of Caribbean piracy created by Hollywood. I am a descendant of hussars, may I take this opportunity to request that my avatar appeared in hussar armor and on horseback? No?! That's so nazi.

    I do not trust the quality of judgments made by "some sort of player panel". To be honest, PotBS way was quiet good - name your ship however you like, because no one will be able to see this name, except you - in dockyard, so no one will be offended/harmed. I could be wrong but name plate integrated with ship will require rebuliding all ship models, and it is possible bug source in future. Sure, we can ask developers to drop real features and focus on such bs.

    Yes, like Jojcib said - setting "Allow Desktop Capture" is required for recording windowed NA. Note - it may be inactive (greyed) if Windows desktop is not in Aero mode. Recorded with ShadowPlay today + sea shanty as background.

    For opposing team replace name with enemy flag icon (optional to turn off totally), leave names for your own team, for tactical reasons.

    Cmon - 7 pages of discussion about the name plate that for other players will have size of 3 - 50 pixels? So that's ok for me, because that's will be very easy to ignore-such small thing like ship plate it is not "invasive" for other players. As for the skins - absolutely not. If you join the Navy you must expect unification, not individualization. This is not a circus, fashion show or gallery of captain graphic fantasies. Game-Labs announced system of "stand out from the crowd" - pennants awarded by the Admiralty for captain duty. For me, this is the right approach to the subject of derogations from unification.

    Specific language subforums are required, but they should serve as a secondary, mainly as a welcoming committee for new players in the circle of their language . The main discussions should remain where they are - on the English-language forum and Russian-speaking forum. We need one community.

    Health bars in games shows what in real world is visible to the naked eye - wounds, damages. If character or vehicle model is graphically primitive, and may not reflect the damage, then some imitation way to provide information must exist. I hope that the ships model in NA will be even more enhanced in the future, and we will be able to determine condition of the opponent ship using only our eyes or a telescope.
