  1. SoonTMor asap used by game developers, should be prosecuted by law ....
  2. Early access, with such makeshift interface? it would be suicide. These are not the times of the beginning of DayZ, players are much more careful now. The massive customer will not give NA a second chance, so the first market release must be refined. This is not an alpha / beta that attracted enthusiasts.

  4. WW1 means indirect arty fire and trench warfare. Not really something i would like to see in next Ultimate General... .
  5. Great news! Thank you Nick / Game-Labs. I'm missing two small details: - Possibility to save the game at the moment where we decide "what do you do now?" - Load game: lack of information when the game was saved in real time (day / hour)
  6. Hi, Yes! Exactly the same symptoms I had yesterday - 2 units of the South ignored everything around them. The first battle, Union side. Interestingly, this is a fresh installation. Because I changed some settings in my computer (eventually i have ssd! ) and reinstalled STEAM.
  7. OK I lied. I listened to this while playing UGG not NA But because this is the same company so I feel justified By the way: I'll place my knapsack on my back, My rifle on my shoulder, I'll march away to the firing line, And kill that Yankee soldier, And kill that Yankee soldier, I'll march away to the firing line, And kill that Yankee soldier!!! I'll bid farewell to my wife and child Farewell to my aged mother, And go and join in the bloody strife, Till this cruel war is over, Till this cruel war is over, I'll go and join in the bloody strife, Till this cruel war is over.

  10. Adella is old lady... http://www.adella.no/default.asp?vis=artikkel&fid=0&id=161120082129529205&t=Historie If I (+google translator) understand correctly, first it was sloop, but later was rebuilded (second mast) and became galleas.
  11. It was discussed earlier , but without effect. http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/2676-forum-restructuring/#entry54633
  12. This. You will learn tricks: - Teamspeak: how to scream... whispering, because your baby sleeps - How to play in sessions lasting only a few minutes (or even seconds...) - How to keep cheerful calm when your child finds the POWER button and turn off your computer at the worst possible moment ...

  14. These are not mine, but Sun-Tzu. This guy is a champion when it comes to one-line maxims of war. I chose the ones that fit best to the specifics of our game: "Speed is the essence of war. Take advantage of the enemy's unpreparedness; travel by unexpected routes and strike him where he has taken no precautions." "The best victory is when the opponent surrenders of its own accord before there are any actual hostilities... It is best to win without fighting." "He who knows when he can fight and when he cannot will be victorious." "Management of many is the same as management of few. It is a matter of organization." "A skilled commander seeks victory from the situation and does not demand it of his subordinates." "If words of command are not clear and distinct, if orders are not thoroughly understood, the general is to blame." Can not forget about Nelson! "England expects that every man will do his duty." "Something must be left to chance; nothing is sure in a sea fight above all." "Duty is the great business of a sea officer; all private considerations must give way to it, however painful it may be." Isoroku Yamamoto: "The fiercest serpent may be overcome by a swarm of ants."
  15. After that, you can easily see that the review is completely unprofessional. Specialist would try to find out what's the purpose of Sea Trials, and how does it differ from the final product. This article is full of inaccuracies, and it is a gentle word.
  16. Of course, the statistics data collected in alpha is great importance for the developers. At the same time, these stats are not really reliable for players ("who is the best!?") , because the statistical result is distorted so much (by bugs, experiments, crashing, etc) that drawing any valid conclusions is impossible. Engaging? Attacking? Really? Eot for me. I'm sorry if I offended anyone ...
  17. I do not deny the sense of statistics in computer games. But this particular case, the alpha phase, any serious conclusions, and treating "stats" as something more than a curiosity is funny in my opinion.
  18. Really, you discuss on statistics from the alpha, and how much they reflect skill? It is scary to think what will happen in the full game.
  19. I used to wonder - why I do not like Cutter? Differences in weaponry and sailing characteristics between it and the adjacent vessels are negligible. And I finally realized that reason is spacing/angles between cannons.
  20. 7000?!? I guess 6500 was playing PvE only. Game-Labs - It was best alpha I have ever been in. To be honest it was better than most full games released in last years. My first words in game:

  22. Different factions, different objectives. I assume that RvR will be NOT copy of PotBS "balanced rvr". Let overpopulated nations fight for global economic and military dominance. Small fractions can fight for other things - in some niche dominance. For example - become most hated privateer pack around. I hope that in the end, Swedish privateers will not need wind to sail - our ships will be powered by enemies QQ
