  1. They can engage in direct trade war offensive and dry their capital of certain selected resources using smart smuggler-contracts. Thus forcing the migration to Panama for good of infrastructure. I do not see the traders making the hours of sail from Panama to Gustavia for sure. Just an idea
  2. Make Small Battles / Large Battles equal to the Sea Trials system regarding ships. Right now it is kind of a pandora's box.
  3. "Wanna be friends ?" "Damn right hope not !!!!! No hugging you .... you.... ... MAN THE GUNS !!!!"
  4. These extended storms seem to happen once a week for me ( prime game time at evenings western EU ). Hardly any effect other than - "oh, hurricane season ? must get to port fast." But yeah I can understand what you are trying to say.
  5. Nice video btw. Just an observation. Most of the combat shown is above 800m. The shots are already at very low energy at that distance. Not a bad distance if you go for rigging ( as per manuals ) but you have to go half that distance to start punishment on the opponents wooden walls.
  6. What a nice way to put it. Let's say we are simply like Google. A bunch of freelancers that might do great things together.
  7. Indeed... got ahead of myself there...Can only exit town on a trader ship. Guess economic war is on, given there's enough cash involved.
  8. What the.... ... ? This needs a quick hotfix a.s.a.p.
  9. As a good politician I will evade answering that with an appropriate reason ---- I am discussing trader hunt, which was labeled as a gank. Jumping missions is not even eligible to be named. It is scum behaviour.
  10. I simply agreed with Klooth up there. Have no idea if and why someone would want to attack a hippie community and bring starvation to the children in Mortimer again. My guess is, and let's put the TP to Capital aside finally, each clan might have its own area of interest.
  11. Yes, I do not disagree with you. Still AI in E:D hunts me which has its own interesting layer, but I digress. Got confused about the contracts. Can a smuggler do that ?!... Regarding Euro Traders I simply wish for a more historical approach to what was imported from europe versus what was sent there. Actually this can evolve into intra-caribbean trade as well, with or without NPC help. About the gank, we have to agree that we disagree. A 48 vs 2 is a gank. A 1v6 is a suicide. A 8v1 is a gank. A trader intercepted successfully on a 1v1 is a happy crew.
  12. A Council is not a Nation, especially on the pirate side. Also we don't need to bath regularly.
  13. You won't get it back. No different from hundreds of situations during this testing.
  14. Pirate Jesus be blessed but the damn coffee sprayed all over the place
  15. This, good Sirs, Captains, and wanna be Admirals, is the simple naked truth. Not that hard to understand if you really wish to understand it.
  16. Totally correct. Capturing a player trader is no piece of cake at all, it is ONLY a thousand times more fun and enticing than chasing placid cetaceans.
  17. One raider intercepting a trader IS NOT A GANK. Sorry for the voice tone, but it crawls up my nervous system that you call such a simple situation A GAAAANK !!
  18. Having my prime activity from Elite Dangerous now in Naval Action ( along with piracy of course ) makes me such a happy muppet. Thanks guys.
  19. Sure thing. Several nations have several resource layouts. And yes I agree with European trade to be revised soon. It is also a good exercise, for those that like to go lonesome raider, to plan according to the trade lanes.
  20. Before a normal trade route would be go through to the loading spot, BAM back to Capital. Now it is the opposite. Teleport to Production Outpost, and then decide if you haul it or you contract delivery to Free Outpost and then haul it. My understanding and advice is that instead of focusing on how it was until now it is better to rethink the outpost layout and trade routes. Not because of raiders, which seem to be the prime concern here, but because of how you traders and crafters can optimize your output of materials and ship building. The raiding of trade lanes is a given, after all it was a primary war effort of all nations in the age of sail if not the most important actually.
  21. Timeout is simply relative to the time you spend doing whatever activity I guess, then returning and teleporting to other place. Unless a player is always hugging the outposts and "free port sniping" I see no big issues with it.
  22. Oh boy that makes me smile so broadly. Totally back in-character once more making the smuggle runs in between trader hunts.
  23. As I see it you are not making Ports more meaningful than they are right now ( at least regarding resources importance ) while making Port Lords an "automated cashing mechanic" ( remember than a player can be a landowner by simple OW pvp not only PB conquest ).
