  2. A sharp witted lad shall bring the first parcel of that agreement soon. It was not the best we could find but meets the standards of some of the finest establishments in Morgan's Bluff.
  3. Nay !! I would never steal... I mean, be seduced by such cargo from a fellow captain, although I refuse to answer for the lads of the crew, free men they are. I take frequent naps ... I mean meditation retreats you see...and a lot happens on deck while at those. Of of the lasses has mahogany hair now that you talk about it.

  8. A spy can win its trust in a nation, move inside clans and council. It might come really to full effect when the RvR development part is concluded. I am pretty sure other combat / RvR MMOs have spies and do not necessarily have specific mechanics for them. Why ? It is a social thing. No mechanics can provide you that. Scouts and ALT commandos are not spies.
  9. Sorry for the coffee spill, granted i over reacted. The good spies... you have no idea they exist... ALTs Kommando squads are not spies.
  10. Yeah... the grass is very green on this side. Look at the main reasons why people go Pirate and less to the helping mechanics. The reasons why people leave a nation tell more about the root of the problem. - very little pvp - or very little pve ! - acid nation councils and arrogant communities ( clans ) - etc There are also a lot of pirates which just wanted to try a more self imposed harder gameplay. The mechanic just makes it easier but there's also examples of changing to other nations other than pirates.
  11. There are so many good suggestions everywhere, snippets not wall length suggestions mind you. Obviously the nation change state is going to be levelled. It is a phase and a legacy. The entire thing is to make pirates viable for, in my opinion: - population. 100 versus 1000, being 100 the historical amount of ships pirating from new providence versus possible 1000 in the virtual historical world. - social. there can be no social barriers. it is a communal game. multiplayer. You cannot stop people from playing together. - for every negative trait there must be a positive trait. Pirates as a choice must be as valid as choosing a Nation navy.
  12. There's a better solution. Exile all Pirate nation to Sommerset, strip them from their belongings, let them only play the Pickle and the Brig. Give Pirate ports to France, Sweden and US, in equal measure. ( hush brit and dutch puppies, too much yalping already ) Oh ! and if they are sunk or captured they go back to zero, aka DayZ. AH ! I can feel a smile under that thick bark of yours. That would make you "gentlemen" happy.

  14. Yes. Like ST. Small Battles up to Brig rate ( snow, mercury, snake,... ) Large Battles from the Cerberus and up.
  15. Two hours and a half is from Key West to Plymouth with a Navy Brig.

We are individuals which owe allegiance only to ourselves and those that chose to. Would be the same as seeing a Pirate escorting a dutch trader, or simply sailing alongside it without attacking Yes it happened and there's no spying involved. Or a national fleet letting a pirate just roam around without attacking him... lol... it happened. I will share with you the appropriate track for this
  17. Let me get home to my library and I will reference you to an engagement where a French frigate that surrendered after some 18(?) hours being chased while taking on water. She couldn't run and it would be a great loss of life. There are plenty of those to support the gameplay mechanic. Going too far with RL into game would be to impede repairs in the OW, but while in instance the mechanics are good. 1 repair and chase while leaking are okay. Surrender might be an option. It is very real and might save your crew in the future alpha version.

  19. It is with great comfort to this captain that news were received of two former Mojito nuns were rescued from the yoke of the Papists. Actually it was an amazement for the crew, which I had to deal with given some of them retained old Navy superstitions, that the ladies offered no resistance to the seductive power of unwashed freebooter captain. Upon safe return to the haven they were presented to the Pirate Jesus Charity and them nuns were wondered that they could continue their mercy work, tending to the orphans while having access to other less merciful pleasures. They were never harassed nor dispossessed of their belongings including a roman catholic bible ( yarr ! a black book ! ) and crucifixes. Surprisingly them ladies left the habits on the shore and took some nice tight leather leggings and loose linen shirts which let them womanhood bouncy bouncies be more appreciated by the world. Blessed be Pirate Jesus that free us all from the yoke of servitude and grant us the way to shiny shiny paradise.
  20. Huh ? What ?... Where ? Oh !... Yeah it happens and there's no point in making a fuss about it. Else we look like shrieking kittens or yapping puppies.
  21. PvE is an integral part of the game even on the PvP. Some players do only PvP. It is a choice. It is good to have choices.
  22. It is not leaving the game. It is taking a breaking from all the testing. As an example I did take a break after Sea Trials until OW became more .. OW. Also had another big project to test at that time. Same will happen soon, with alpha for War of Rights, so timeshare is a certainty.

  24. At its basis, it takes two to have fun in NA. One is walking away with the prize.
  25. Correct, but in very specific situations, with the highest degree of threat, was the sinking immediately considered valid without reserves and without much addo. French fleet bound to Ireland is one of those. And it was not 1 but several engagements given the split of the forces, gales that hit the two parts of the fleet, etc. A few officers received praise and prize. A lot of captures as well.
