  1. Question Admin, will PvE and PvP hostility values be equivalent as 1x and 2x respectively ? Thinking PvP should really build it up faster than PvE,same as XP.
  2. Yes but some folks have a non-dettachment syndrome to the whole RP joy vs IRL must win, aka. beardies, so a sort of mechanics are warranted. At least with the Lords voting there will be even more drama for sure
  3. Can see this scenes as a introduction of a movie It is not a nice thing to do but makes up a nice story.
  4. Off-topic but immersio camera related: As I play mostly on the deck, the second mast cam must be tweaked. It is the second scroll Wheel FPS position and a better field of view but it has the nasty quirk of bouncing forward and backward a little after a few rotations. Might not interest those who play drone view though and it wouldn't hurt them at all.

  6. The players are very helpful and there's a lot of knowledge to be shared. Ask away in Global and Nation chats ( and even add Help channel ) and ask questions. We had a lot of people yesterday evening asking things and most got away with good answers and very good tips.
  7. Might help soothe that need but if you press Home twice you can sort of walk around while being with the ship. One press on Home is full free cam.

  9. Can't say nothing against that logic but thousands of LH and the resources are raided and only then will you come after the raiders. Good stuff trooper the raider aim is achieved. Maybe start escorting them ?!! No way ...Keep it that way Note: A full LGV is worth 3 duras.
  10. There's no stopping anyone from gaming the game Nalyd. In every game with persistente assets/progression and rvr it happens. No exception even with subscription, so let's get over that. For those that want to play and have healthy fun this is good and as Lytse Pier well puts up it will require a national wedge instead of a single clan maul.
  11. The aformentioned ports and respective shipyards were never, in hands of independents or major powers, capable of building anything bigger that brigs and corvettes. Some of them were even limited by draft types. I don't really care, just don't nitpick what suits and what not. And this same thing applies to the Nations as well. Very very few ports in the caribbean and new world were capable of building anything big. Habana and Willemstad being the notable exceptions in the caribe while the ones up north in the america are not in the map. Fact: Blackbeard was caught due to a deep draft and not being able to escape through the shallows. Tough luck heh. Guess a big ship cost him his head.
  12. Holy... The design seems very nice and draws a lot from ALL the suggestions given by a lot of players. It shows boardgame rules simplicity allied with wargame dynamic table for objectives. Also, and this is one of the factors I am most intrigued to test, send out the raiders and the "pirates" and seed confusion in the target area to increase the hostility. Oh my, so eager to test this. Suddenly it all became more complex with such "simple" changes. Question: Successful defense versus "foreign" forces does reverse the hostility in the area ? I am thinking "enemy militar presence" threshold moving positive/negative.
  13. True to age of sail form. Even the other day we had a fellow asking for help and kept spamming coordinates... ... ... enough said. Beauty of it ? Many were just asking him to stop with the coords because they didn't care but rather say a realtive location and direction. Guess what ? It worked perfectly with no coords.

  15. That is correct. As a EU I do not mind at all and often play milsims with US east coast pings. I would enjoy global server.
  16. It has to be built alongside and in relation to: politics, war and peace. IIRC Pirates & Privateering shall have its own specific thread.
  17. Still Characters/Assets won't be shared between Oceans. If it is only about rank, sure, it is a option. Note: Jumping missions is second only to absurd BR diferences as donkey buttocks move.

  20. So much have changed so much will change that having to restart the naval careers or going out as a pirate nobody would once more be beneficial imo. So many ranking up was made in pve with captured junk 3rd and undercrewed flotillas... Yes a lot has changed and would be interesting to see, as a whole, if they really work regarding the ranking.
  21. Because Pirates live of reputation and how much fuss they make ? That's maybe why they survived all the centuries down in History. But I know a few corsairs and always a pleasure to salute them in the trade lanes.
  22. At the moment, with the tweaks and bits moved about we did went a step back. Carronades or longs, generally speaking. Two fixes ago mediums really made na appearance again, now they fade away once more.
  23. You know not non-nation pirate types then. Even many nationals corsairs hunt alone.
  24. They do stack. Same as Crew Space and Extra Hammocks do. And it is not about turn rate. It is about Manual control of the ship which is all about the player and not the ship. I do not give up a good rigging control. It is a life saver and a death dealer.
