Glad everything is working. Asking for help and having it in the forum along with solutions and ideas might also help others

Does the Logitech software map a certain keyboard key to a mouse click ? If it does then a A on the mouse will be the same as an A on the keyboard

I like an idea with solid ground to work with. Hence take advantage of all others that came before to work your idea further. So, keep working on it. Great ideas are never lost.

Thank you. Given it is old stories I expect you captains of similar writing habits to carry on the tradition of logs, chronicles, tavern hush hush tales and similar stuff

Captains of the Black Flag
Hethwill, the Red Duke replied to Pagan Pete's topic in Caribbean server guild recruitment
For all those that believe such things, and I was told this by a fellow that does, not that myself do not although I might, that no less than three flagons or grog times three of three different regions and from three different taverns, and this makes you sail a lot if I may say so, a disproportionate manatee shall come to you in dreams and tell you about the location of a certain and rather striking voluptuous mermaid that shall, in due time, for she may or may not strike a liking of a captain of a certain vessel, show the undisclosed route of a vessel, the route, I fear, might be concealed within a siren song lyrics, coming from the ocean beyond the Good Hope. Some other fellow told that a cutlass fish must be kept alive the entire journey on the hold, just to make the entire subject a tad more clear, so he did claim he did. I mean, for all those that might believe such things, that is. Hope it helps. -

Captains of the Black Flag
Hethwill, the Red Duke replied to Pagan Pete's topic in Caribbean server guild recruitment
...but there are Emeralds indeed ! -
Absolutely spot on ! Modules, crafting and Officers. It all needs a interesting revamp. For one, which I suggested in another thread - equipment modules to be part of the crafting and despite being installed need an officer with the ability to use it to full effect. Yes, an extra layer of decision making. "crew" management. But I consider the further we move away from standard metas the better. Personally I am 235% eager to see the previously announced ship building system without the qualities and expanded possibilities. Note: I do capture a lot of AI ships, 1 dura, just because of some combinations. Best been a privateer schooner perfectly tailored out of Cedar, with a rough crew of Nassau and accordingly Pirate trim refit. I didn't even care to lose modules on her. 1 dura was enough and had a blast while she endured.

Naval Bases and War Fleets, aye. I still hope to see regional capitals as Naval Bases, the power center of the region and being used only for creation of War Fleets or docks for ships. The other towns of a region are the civilian and buildings centers.

My question was ironic and full of sarcasm. I might have surpassed the 36k on WoT myself for certain, between alpha, beta and open until gold ammo...but it doesn't even touch the fungus on the heel of NA open world. We stand an entire persistent world apart. Small/Large/Duel battles should have no ties to OW. And be its own thing. Its own world. In that I completely support your claim. Give a server to arena lovers and split from the OW shards. End of. ( and I agree with Koltes... no point in making a game that isn't... NA is a open world, persistent and with loss and gain. )

The instance system is unlike NA though. It relies on players and their groups to generate who's in what. Never had any issues and I did my share of viper cold runs in big battles. Actually the trade system during the war period is solid. Can run the gauntlet and provided the needed goods. So good gameplay for trader and smugglers, helping one side or the other while players can stay on the approaches trying to draw them into interception. And ofc then you have the war zones, from low intensity to high intensity. And it can last for a long time in some high stakes systems and people battle it out in combat or by shipping urgent cargo. In the end one of the sides always prevails. And it runs 24/7 at the same time across open and solo and everything counts, so I decidedly can say the system is solid for any player, no one is split. No one is left out. Only down is what you say, you can have issues when instanced and drop into a odd one, but the actions you make there count. And the AI now is way more kind because...well... people asked to be toned down. They were very challenging. Back to Naval Action, sorry for the off topic. With Raids what the AI provides is action. Pure and simple. Maybe see it like Epic Events. Risky and rewards to the risk they are, depending on the clues you make out of the port resources to raid.

A fighter doesn't need anything but commission a crafter for a ship built to spec and pay for it. In hard cash, shares of resources raided, etc. After a day or so the ship is ready. Awesome. 8 Outposts, 5 slots, if 1 dura it equals 43 ( 40 + 3 ) ships. if all at 5 dura then it is 215 ships. I agree with the others. modules must be fused into ship building. Also I proposed somewhere that specific trims need a officer with specific in place that knows how to best use them or else...no. 36k battles in Small/Large battles ? Go for it. Sadly not many like to do it it seems... for some reason open world and loss has more appeal... BUT is not the point. There's so but so many records of Admiralty regarding commissioned ships and costs. Oh and prized ships bought by Admiralty. Free market means Armateurs of privateers. There's a good suggestion about it made by Powderhorn somewhere. With shares for the armateur even

Dear People Constantly Posting About Night Flips
Hethwill, the Red Duke replied to Aventador's topic in National news
Well, the amount of memes posted seem to have called a close to it. Thank you all, that participated in this tavern brawl. -
Hey hey, the pilots don't build the planes. They spend their time learning how the bird flies. The wings are built for them, not by them. Right ? Wanting to do everything is a choice. There are fighters, and there are builders, and there are those that want to do everything. Subjective to player rhythm of play, time spent, choices made. Having a strong solid economic system and intricate crafting system doesn't affect PvP combat one bit, be it 1 dura, be it 5 duras. I am having a bit of difficulty understanding why a renewed crafting and economy system influences so negatively the PvP.

If correct times and materials needed are implemented I don't see a big issue with 3 duras. Also if correct mass/volume being transported by ships is implemented I don't see a big issue with 3 duras. Go through the list of the Victory and even the Constitution and a bay schooner. How much material is needed, how many hours it takes. A schooner can be built very fast. A super frigate not so much. A ship of the line of battle was a major investment of the nation ! As we see economy MUST be the basis of our game. Conquest an extension of economy, by other means.
