  1. Gotcha. How would you make points then ? Make sure that there's incentive in not losing while winning also.
  2. No. You are found guilty of pyracy, of association with pyracy act or otherwise associated with individuals engaged in pyracy acts. Reward should be the reformulation of yer career choice into a proper survival hardcore mode.
  3. Why ? We just started I do play a lot of boardgames with similar systems where there's prestige points at baseline 0 with positive and negative scales. ( on a note, not a fan of the system but a fan of the idea, so implementation perfection is what is sought after without unncessary complications )

  7. Makes sense given the timescale of 22 hours per PB and 48 hours cooldown on regions.
  8. I hereby suggest that the Conquest Ladder be "wiped" and all Nations start from ZERO points before the end of the present cycle of 7 days. It is proper, it is fair and it permits a clean test of the system.
  9. Time to Conquer... ? No more sitting on benefits. That's the baseline. Not perfect but having a Fleet of the Line and plenty of 74s to act as station Flag ships is ( as was ) a mark of national naval prestige. Are we just playing for ourselves or for a nation ? Are we simulating a nation power in the age of sail ? Not a perfect system but the idea is good. Take a port, gain 1 point to the score and make that enemy lose 2. Somehow at this point, and from fast calculation is not needed to win half the map to get to first. A half dozen regions is enough to gain the lead ( even less if conquered regions are 3 points ).
  10. 2 minutes was the previous 2 circle tag at average speed, from edge of outer circle to center, just for visualization purposes.
  11. No real difference to a roaming squadron with orbiting fast ships for tags. The main issue that was to be solved was to force battle campers to not camp and keep on the move. IMO the half-baked fix does exactly it.

  13. Invisibility at 30 seconds ( as it is ) Cannot join battles for 120 seconds ( as it is ) Cannot start battles for 30 seconds after invisibility has ended ( meaning no attack for 60 seconds ) Cannot be part of RoE pull for 120 seconds.
  14. We tested it. It is extreme view range. Invisibility pops out and ship in distance suddenly vanishes out of view range.
  15. Will look for it. The name is not totally unknown and I am sure I did come across it somewhere it time bu if it didn't stick to my pnp memories maybe there was something in the system that made it unmemorable. Complexity and functionality is a hard bargain to strike Did adapt WHFRPG 1st ed. to a age of sail motif many moons ago with good success for a entire season.
  16. Finally got to feel the power-ranger mode exiting a battle. It is fairly comical of course ( pretty sure that at one time we did test a OW accelerated mode that looked fairly similar to it, long ago ). The distance travelled is equivalent to view range extreme. No more no less. A coast guard network can still counter any raiders IF they do spread out and keep on the move, as opposite to sitting in one place. Not sure if I like it or if I don't but would definitely leave it for the moment being with one tiny addition: - players under invisibility should not be able to see any ships in the OW, either AI or players.
  17. Let's say you capture a region, meaning you win a PB. You will score 1 point AND subtract 2 points to the losing nation. If your nation is at 20 points and the enemy is at 22, you suddenly will be at 21 and they will be at 20. Then there's these 3 points regions as well. Unsure about the system but I like it being dynamic and not only a race up.
  18. Yes. Battle Fleets should only be engaged. They main Attack purpose IS the port imo. War Supplies should be needed to build a War Fleet not hostility
  19. IMO... 1. Contested regions empty of AI/NPC until PB is decided. 2. Battle Fleets existence pertains a upcoming PB, should be mandatory formed at a regional capital - ALL captains must be arrayed at the same port. 3. Battle Fleets not eligible for invisibility and wind immunity.
  20. Online interaction in Spain, like all other members, is ruled by the CE body specific for that purpose in light of the particularities of each country member. And they are not joking about harassment and threats at all levels. There have been a lot of processes running and with really heavy justice being applied. Finally. But lets move away from the judicial systems and go back to the "role play" please.
  21. I look to the *Win scenario* as a cyclic measure of ... Nation prestige. Plus it is dynamic, where being consistent is maybe more important than being at the peak and suddenly dropping dead after a couple cycles.
