  1. Every single NA player was a new player once... sooooo... all of us ?! 😎
  2. Random, but 4th rates and above have more chances. But given statistics are what they are. o7 Stay upwind most of the fight. There will be zero issues reaching any wreck unless everything develops far from a heavily damaged AI which eventually sinks.
  3. Let's review the "turn" sequence 1. Declaration of intention - Hostility Missions or PvP around the port ( player made blockade ) - enemy has to bring ships to area, OW PvP possible 2. Invasion Plan go ahead - PB is set for a day and time - enemy has to sail PB fleet plus support fleet to enemy port, OW PvP possible 3. Port Battle - set piece battle PvP Pre-PB actions, where do they fit ? Whom will they fight ? At what day/time ?
  4. Welcome to Naval Action. A lot to learn, remember to always watch the horizon. Snappy salute !
  5. Doing some maths here. Correct me if i'm wrong. Let's say I sail L'Hermione, with 3 module slots, 12 repairs cycle ( don't remember exactly ). I install Navy Hull Refit, Cartagena Refit and Elite Spanish Refit ( random examples ). Cycle would be... 48 ? ... Is this correct ?
  6. Somehow.... this is interesting. Let me see if I get this. Say I have a vessel that uses 5 units per cycle. I install three modules, the good stuff. The cycle will increase to 20 if I don't repeat any "type" ?
  7. "Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in pressing the win button." - Commander Pompano "Snapper" Confucius, HMS Pimp'Ride
  8. regarding the quality of rp... ... I miss Don Botillo
  9. This certainly caters for the absolute casual that just wants to emulate a couple battles, Master and Commander cinematic style, with no interest whatsoever in the Caribbean open world life. Sounds reasonable.
  10. I know we do, just not now Yeah, pattern break on the gun ports is a nice touch, huh
  11. Wouldn't mind that paint in game Nice snippet btw.
  12. Hard to answer that one without sounding factious 🙉
  13. To screen one must love the fight. Sink teeth and live with the decision. Same as any other aspect. Sail, fight, sink or be sunk, buy new ship, rinse and repeat.
  14. Not disagreeing Just stating a fact. Modules make or break. I always advocated that modules do make a gigantic difference btw. But back on topic. - Personally I think the reinforcements should stay as is, I made my peace with the zones, should mirror the enemy ships. Rate by rate, gun by gun, perk by perk, module by module. The models that can't be captured, can't, must be sunk.
  15. Yes, I agree that some situations might arise. And I do see a Duel Room as cool 2 go in, 1 comes out. Kind of "select your gear and put it on the line" from tarkov and if you sink enemy, you can loot him.
  16. Yes... indeed... he tages the fellow expecting a gank move, suddenly he is in a fair and square 1v1 ? Sounds perfect (muahahahahahah)
  17. They can. The perk simply doesn't kick in and the battle is normal.
  18. Everything can, as plenty of players prove it in a monthly flavour basis. In that case they are the same as every player, just without any other perk except the duellist one, which costs all the points I will adjust the suggestion as situations arise, invaluable insight on exploiting the game mechanics which seems to be a valid main concern. I know a Duel Room is easier, but personally I like the - 2 go in, 1 comes out.
  19. He is a fine fellow and great sport. He was given a "medal" yesterday for gallantry, of sorts, to pay for his troubles and good attitude. @Palatinose
  20. Let me find something... .. here it is Maybe there's something for screeners... ( however the machine interprets that given a PB fleet is a normal Ow fleet with no special status )
  21. No. They can still engage in any activity. They can attack anyone same as everyone, join battles, go to PBs, etc.
