So you're telling me the initial battle of Spain vs Brits (2 1st, 1 2nd, 1 3rd vs 4 1st, 3 3rds) was not a gank? pls We could have joined your side to over-gank the gank but joined the weaker side as you see in the result it got somewhat balanced

We were originally chasing you lol But lost you in the fog. Then saw the brits sitting (on the battle which we couldnt see), tagged them, so they joined. Gave us two options, 1) Enforce the already stronger side for a more boring battle, or join the weaker side for at least a somewhat balanced battle. Lack of proper communication (two nations and russian - english is sometimes still an issue here) forced too many losses on our side, but owell

PvP mark selling for 200k is not set in stone - it's supply and demand. Apparently people don't pvp enogh, else supply would be higher, therefore lower price. Players are lazy and prefer grinding save PvE and buy their marks for more as a result. -

Tested that, noone liked afk sailing - meeting players randomly in the open sea just doesnt happen -> thus created less pvp sigh.. You can get from Mortimer to KPR in about 10 - 15 minutes in OW. in a battle instance it'd take you several hours (probably half a day). Now tell me, how is it realistic for players that were not in rage of an engagement to join the action? 3 minute join timer simulates that only ships in range are able to join, as it should be, if you want to be realistic. (This is due to the huge differencein Speed / Distance coverage in OW and battles). Other points I mostly agree with (except masts, I think they're at an OK spot now). -
Maybe turn shipwreck loot into some new kind of "chests" (maybe sunken chest), universal weight of 500. If you carry one it will be visible for other players too. Convert them in port to get the actual items.

"See the button at all times" as in when the battle is still open, you can join any side - provided your nation hasnt joined the other side already Battles in reinforcment zones aswell as pvp events seem to be open for the whole time.

No names in OW is great IMO. Lead me to attack some players i wouldnt have attacked before, just because we wouldnt fight each other due to being "friendly" -

Sorry but what is "meaningful pvp interactions" for you? Only pvp happening prior to the events was out of freeports. Players brought ships they were expecting to lose; to have fun. "Meaningful interactions" as in protecting your shores from pesky pirates died long time ago with the implementation of safezones. Crafting is basically a fake feature and just a time waste since then. Dont have to be worried about sailing your indiaman without any escort whatsever, because even if you meet a bandit, he cant attack you. Oh and then there are portbattles which could be seen as meaningful I guess. But also not really - only a handfull of ports worth owning due to ressources they spawn. 95% of the ports just cost, especially with the 600k maintenance cost. Combined with the dull pve grind and only having the PB the day after, its pretty obvious that rvr is dead. Conclusion: meaningful pvp = having a good time in a good battle. -

Was discussed before but has some issues If someone put a reasonable bounty (maybe 1 mil) on someone, he would probably just let a friend sink him and they share the rewards System only works when sinking means something, e.g. lose "points" of your reputation rank, or lose some XP - that should prevent abuses -

@van Veen enjoyed our little frigate duel, though still cant figure out how I managed to catch up to your fir fir speed modded surprise in my teak wo belle poule, lol Those smaller BR pbs are fun, room for a frigate or two to fight for the circles had you won the duel youd have easily captured both eastern circles and our fleet would have had a hard time getting back in time. Same like your fleet wasnt able to get to the two circles because of wind. Funny how much impact a frigate can have

Event zone battles have special RoE already. Why not make it so joining an ongoing battle on a side is only possible to 1.5x BR of other side? Battles are open all the time; the more join a battle on one side, the more can join on the other side too. It's a pvp event zone after all, no capital area where "vets smash noobs in trash ships and even dare to ask for special rules". Everyone going to the event made the decision to go pvping, and didnt intend to grind PvE without looking for any pvp.

Prussia aint "the winning team", at least for now lol. Still lots of ways we can improve, we're an incredibly mixed up nation (players from Russia, USA, GB, Germany, Poland, Greece, Switzerland, ...), so communication can be an issue Generally I dont think the main issue is having as many nations as we got atm. The issue is that it can be very hard to motivate players to participate. Im sure nations like Spain, GB, France etc could get reasonable fleets going, its just that noone can really motivate the main player base (casuals with "only" 1-2h per day) to spend their online time to first grind HORRIBLY boring PvE and then only the day after to have the PB. It might be that having the PB on the same day was better (more action). But then there should also be some sort of limit in terms of PBs a nation can have per day; maybe 3. We want to encourage fights after all and not dull port swaps. Or it might also just be that the game gets repetitve after x thousands of hours and therefore vets arent too interested in PBs anymore. Game could use some "fresh blood" (also being interested in RvR) to spice things up ; UI and tutorial should help with that.

This sounds like fine woods 3.0 The price of these trading goods will sky rocket, players will be unhappy because they cant craft what they wish to craft. Main reason crafting qualities with crafting notes were removed, noone crafted a ship worse than exceptional -
If you get stuck upwind versus several enemies you are doomed, as it should be IMO. Sucks when it happens for the one getting chainboarded but still more realistic Imagine in a football match a player jumping onto one of the enemy team; the other one manages to get up again, but surely by then lots of others are ready or have already blocked him again. He doesnt get a special shield that suddenly makes him unstoppable
